The LAS Freedom is going to be out of commission for a while, it is currently having its armor, weapons, navigation--in short its entire design--redone. This new design, going by the plans at the shipyard, will be able to have the Guardian System fully integrated into the ship.I am not certain as to how long it will be before the LAS Freedom becomes operational again with its upgrades, but until then I will continue to send in reports from my quarters at Norfolk. I am certain, however, that once the work is complete it will be of better service to the house of Liberty.

To start off this log, a Zoner "Juggernaught" Battleship was encountered at Fort Bush. Several times he was ordered to leave the system. Each time he refused to leave, with me being on my own in a bomber i called out an alert. This was answered by the LNS Washington, Hobgl, and big-shark. With their aid the battleship was destroyed. I trust that if the Bounty Hunters ever get this ship repaired, that they will think twice before bringing it--once more--into Liberty, unauthorized.

The next significant event occurred while I had the Guardian running a patrol route within New York. A Mercenary by the name of Zane Frazier was encountered attacking allied ships. Needless to say, the mercenary's ship was destroyed. This ship has been designated as Hostile by the Guardian and will be engaged at each encounter.

One evening a hostile was spotted briefly on short-range scanners, after receiving a system-wide comms transmission the ship's callsign, "raider48", and voice was scanned through Liberty databases. The ship turned out to be a Corsair-piloted Kusari Explorer, the pilot however is still unknown. After checking every trade lane from Pittsburgh and Colorado to Ithaca and California, and finding no trace of the Corsair, ships were placed at each main base within New York. After only minutes had passed he showed up at my location, stationed at Fort Bush, where allied ships quickly converged on to eliminate the target.

The next day, a smuggler under the callsign Gamaxx was spotted attempting to bring 1000 Artifacts into Manhattan. The pilot was ordered three times to cut his engines to dispose of the cargo. These orders, however, were ignored. The transport was destroyed and the pilot taken into the custody of the LPI. Unfortunately, by some stroke of luck he managed to escape and made yet another attempt at bringing Artifacts in. Strangely, there was an Outcast Destroyer not far behind and was assumed to be escorting the smuggler. It turns out the Outcast was attempting to destroy the smuggler due to their hostilities to the Corsairs the Artifacts came from. Gamaxx's transport was once again, destroyed before reaching its destination. In addition to Gamaxx, an Armored Transport attempted to leave Manhattan with 525 units of Counterfeit Software and was immediately dealt with.

Soon after, another Outcast Destroyer appeared on Long-Range Scanners. Both "Immortalis" and "Punks Final Revenge" were engaged and destroyed by Darkmoor and myself, with the assistance of nearby bounty hunter and mercenary pilots.

I request these fines be placed as listed (Unless they have been paid since this log was made)
[CARGO]Gamaxx - Smuggler - 4 million
Two Attempts - Under 2500 Artifacts in to Manhattan.
Tradeship - Smuggler - 2 million
One Attempt - Under 2500 units of Counterfeit Software

Log Summary

Well, yesterday was interesting to say the least. The day started off with a myriad of pirates, and then the rest of my shift was taken up by smugglers seemingly coming out of every faucet of Liberty.

My shift started abruptly with a Code 5 alert: Several pirates were attacking a Liberty cruiser near Manhatten. I launched my bomber, but due to technical difficulties, was unable to launch for 5 minutes. I was glued to the Holovision: Watching the battle unfold from a Liberty news ship that was filming the battle. My heart sunk when i heard the Liberty cruiser commander ordered to abandon ship. Luckily all crew managed to get clear of the blast radius before the cruiser went up in a fireball. By the time i had successfully undocked from Manhatten, the pirates had fled back into deep recess of space. Minutes later, another officer reported an Outcast fleet at planet Mojave, in the California system. He requested backup, and i promptly responded.

On approach to Mojave, my jaw dropped as i saw an Outcast RM-1 Destroyer class vessel, with a compliment of two or three gunboats guarding it. I dropped out of the tradelane, as i had ascertained the other officer had managed to evade the fleet. Unfortunately the fleet saw me too. They all started to head towards my position. Knowing i had no chance, i attempted to start my cruise engines, with no success; it seems the technical difficulties my ship was suffering on Manhatten still weren't completely fixed. I thrustered away from them, making my way around Planet Mojave back to the tradelanes. I got my chance and i took it, i took the tradelane to California Minor to call for backup. There were no available officers. The officer in California contacted me with the news that the outcast destroyer and one of the gunboats had left. That left only one gunboat and one fighter (who appeared out of no-where). Myself and the other officer engaged the targets with no success; they destroyed both our ships.

Suffice to say no visual evidence of the battle survived the explosion of my ship.

After my backup ship had been launched from Manhatten, Navy command had authorised the use of a Dreadnaught-class Liberty battleship to try and get rid of these persistant pirates. Myself, the LNS-Milwaukee and officer Epsilon found two pirates: Jim.Black and Jim.White, piloting a Gunboat and Destroyer respectively. The commander of the Milwaukee order to engage all visible threats, and we engaged in battle. Jim.White was soon destroyed, but Jim.Black managed to escape. We pursued the gunboat, but the skilled pirate pilot managed to dodge all of our incoming fire. Things quickly went downhill when two more pirate gunboats engaged us, and we were soon fighting a losing battle. Officer Epsilon managed to escape the marauding pirates, as the Milwaukee order a retreat command. In the confusion, my ship was left behind to face 3 Gunboats alone. I managed to last a few minutes before the enevitable occured: My ship was once again destroyed.
[Image: pirateattackya4.th.jpg][Image: thpix.gif]
After a tertiary backup ship was launched, and an apparent promotion by the commander of the LNS-Milwaukee to "a rank that allows be to have a gunboat!" (although i am fairly certain this statement was made in jest), i then started a patrol of Texas. After starting in Texas, i rarely left as the smugglers came at me from all directions.

One lane hacker gunship by the name of 'Gambit' was a minor annoyance until i showed him the power of my supernova. He hastily made his escape.
[Image: gambitvc4.th.jpg][Image: thpix.gif]
SunDog was the first smuggler to be caught, however he continued to flee back to Bering and attempt to get back into Texas through Hudson. Each time he was stopped, but managed to flee back to Bering/Hudson and repair his ship. I'm confident he will be caught one day.
[Image: sundoghd6.th.jpg][Image: thpix.gif]
Scarecrow was the next idiotic smuggler to try and sell some Cardamine on planet Housten. After refusing to give drop the drugs and pay the fine, he engaged my bomber. My bomber took a serious beating, but Scarecrow was destroyed and all the drugs vaporised.
[Image: scarecrowij2.th.jpg][Image: thpix.gif]
Another smuggler named Weedalot had somehow got past the officer stationed outside Housten, LNS-Lightfin, and managed to make his way to the Bering jumpgate, where i was already arresting SunDog. Whilst engaging SunDog, i managed to scan Weedalot's cargo bay: it contained thousands of poor slaves. By the time i realised what he had on board, it was too late, Weedalot had already gone to Bering.
[Image: weedalotmn9.th.jpg][Image: thpix.gif]
Luckily before he escaped through to Bering, i had placed a transponder on Weedalot's ship, and telemetry showed he was headed for a return trip to Texas. I suspected he was hauling Cardamine, and wouldn't you know it, he was. After refusing to drop the Cardamine and pay the fine, he was destroyed.

Day Summary:
  • Pirate Assault on Manhatten --ALL LAWFUL SHIPS DESTROYED, MY SHIP LAUNCHED TOO LATE FOR BATTLE--
  • Engaged at Mojave by Outcast Fleet --SHIP DESTROYED--
  • Engaged at Manhatten by pirate fleet --ONE ENEMY DESTROYER DOWN, MY SHIP WAS DESTROYED--
  • Gambit --LANE HACKER-- --ESCAPED--
  • SunDog --SMUGGLER-- --ESCAPED; $4MIL FINE OUTSTANDING--
  • Scarecrow --SMUGGLER-- --DESTROYED--
  • Weedalot --SMUGGLER-- --ESCAPED ONCE, THEN DESTROYED--
A day filled with smugglers, as usual, however the pirate fleet that decimated our forces at the start of the day worried me greatly...I'm sure High Command has a battle strategy ready for the next time it happens.

Sender: Recruit Galen Anderson

A busy day filled with smugglers and pirates. I departed from Missouri and linked up with the LN and LSF forces. Hobgl held position near the Nofolk shipyards and claimed that Alexi Stukov was hauling artifacts. He was involved in the incident a while back with the attack at Manhattan (See other report). Now in a whale, he repeatedly docked and undocked with Nofolk. I called in backup, with LPI-Detupty Simon Jenkins, LSF Agent Cutter, SDS Recon Lt. Gafwmn, and Lieutenant Hastings along with Hobgl and I to destroy Stukov as soon as he left Nofolk. During this time, an outcast Destroyer by the name of Parasite arrived and attempted to attack. We had the upper hand, as most of our ships consisted of bombers. He quickly fell and Stukov used this time to run. Deputy Jenkins pursued him into the Pittsburgh Debris field where his engines were distrupted and his ship destroyed.

After this incident, 3 CardEx affiliated ships arrived with diamonds claiming they were from Texas. We had no proof so we had to let them pass. After the suspected smugglers, 2 mercenarys arrived. They claimed they were on a 'mission' to destroy Xenos in a debris field. We asked them to leave, explaining the Mercenary Ban we had imposed on Liberty.

After this, Hobgl reported that there was a rogue at Manhattan by the name of Trip. I quickly arrived and we engaged the Barghest Bomber. After a few jousts, he was destroyed with no casualties on our side. I had no time for a break however as Deputy Jenkins reported the appearance of a Rheinland Valkyre by the name of Firgilius. He ordered him to leave, and he did without question.

http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/C...nn/screen38.jpg

After the debacle near Norfolk, LSF Cutter and I left for Texas to enforce the Embargo. On the way, I met Firgilius again after he was ordered to leave. I did so again, and escorted him out into Hudson. Cutter and I maintained postion near Houston, wary for any smugglers and pirates. A pirate named Shade appeared but quickly left when he saw us. LNS Voyager also joined us at this time. Cutter eventually finished his shift and left, leaving Voyager and I to maintain the Embargo. CardEx made another appearance and with Voyager and I thinned out between the Jumpgates, there was no stopping them.

http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/C...nn/screen47.jpg

With many of the navy officers finishing their shifts, Voyager and I were the only ones able to respond to Trent Heartnet's request for help. He reported that there was a Xeno attack at West Point. We were not able to arrive in time however, and his gunboat was destroyed. Shade was also back, claming that he had 3 LPI officers and bounty hunter pilots in his hold. I approached him, trying to coerce him into giving them up, however to no avail. He demanded 2 million credits for the release of the pilots. Arms Dealer Malarlo paid him and the pilots were rescued. I could not finish him however, as he fled into the Badlands. The 4 Xenos were spotted attacking West Point. Their names are XA Blacktail, Eggz'N'Bacon, Tyler.Grossenbaer and XA Sidewinder. Hobgl and I held them off until several gunboats came to assist us. The gunboats were the first to fall, as the Xenos concentrated on them. The battle itself was a mess as guns were blazing and many shots were left without hitting a target on both sides. Everyone was juking and firing for about 20 minutes until Tyler Grossenbaer left. After this, Gafwmn and Agent Deuce McKay arrived. I asked only the fighters and bombers to attack. Krusa also arrived, and we continued to attack the 3 Xenos. Finally, Agent McKay destroyed Eggs'N'Bacon with a torpedo shot. After more exchanges of fire, the remaining xenos fled. A disturbing note: Alexi Stukov somehow hacked into our secure comms and requested a reward for assisting in the defense against the Xenos. I curtly told him that he had a fine to pay for his recent artifact dealings. He quickly left without a word.

After the Xeno attack, I flew to California, as I recieved a tip from Weapons dealer Malarlo of a Lane Hacker incursion near Mojave. I arrived, seeing LH Phate and LH Milton Krest, the former in a Sabre and the latter in a Dagger. I was surprised to see many freelancers already firing at the Hackers. I joined the fray, as Phate concentrated his Prometheuses on me. The freelancers, however wanted me to leave as there was an apparent bounty on them. LH Milton Krest left the fight as Phate continued to fire on me. My ship with weapons in the red were barely able to survive Phate's onslaught. I thrusted away, hoping to leave the battle alive. He, realizing what I was trying to do, cut the tradelanes. I veered back, juking to make it look like I was heading to California Minor, then at the last second, thrusted to Los Angeles. I took the tradelane and left.

My ship is being repaired at the moment on the Yukon, and I should be back on duty soon.

A memo to the Fleet Admiral of the Liberty Navy.

Dear Admiral,
I am disappointed by your decision to press charges, but I am not surprised. My only hope is that the courts will see matters differently than you have... I know that you disagree with my methods, and that others will as well. I cannot imagine that any court would be able to convict me.
Congratulations are in order, I suppose. After I press charges and new Morality protocols are written, I'm certain they will name entire sections of the doctrine after you.
Now we all shall see exactly what it is that you have to hide.
I know that our rules are not designed to outlaw every possible infraction that may take place. However, the spirit of the law is clear, while the law has many penalties for the atrocities that we inflict on others, there are no punishments for my actions.

I shall see you behind bars for your crimes, Dear Admiral.

Danforth Whitcomb

As High Command knows, recently i was involved in a incident with a trader breaking the Rhienland-Liberty trade embargo. After myself and a Bounty Hunter destroyed his ship for not complying with a Stop order, the smuggler pressed charges against myself and the bounty hunter. The Liberty Government pressed the following charges against me:
  • Section C, subsection 4, line 3: "A Navy officer must always alert a smuggler of his/her intent to use lethal force, and reasoning behing using such leathal force --CHARGED--
  • Section C, subsection F, line 4: "A Navy officer must always give a smuggler the chance to drop the cargo and pay the fine; OR in relation to the Rhienland-Liberty trade embargo, the officer must give the smuggler the option to return to Rhienland --CHARGED--
I have no excuse for disobeying these parts of Liberty Law, and I pleaded guilty to the charges I was up against. I was forced to pay the smuggler all my credits, and hand in all my weapons. There has been much uproar about these laws being changed, and i am scheduled for a number of court appearances over the next few weeks to discuss the laws in question. As such, i will no longer be able to work full-time during the night-shift over the next couple of weeks. It is not of my choosing, I would rather be out in space defending Liberty instead of being stuck in a courtroom, however it is in my best interest to sort out the charges against me, and the laws that caused me to be charged.

I hope High Command can find someone to replace my shifts and protect Liberty when all her citizens are sleeping.

**Too Libert navy command**

Goodday sirs.

This was the most unusual night of my time in the navy.

At the beginning of my shift i was aboard the hidalgo's-Fate too do some paperwork.
When there were several reports of enemys in liberty.
First there was a rogue gunboat and a hacker in a sabre.
The Gunboat was dealt with but the sabre pilot could escape.

Later there was the incident around rochester.
A sinister place.
The navy found a freelancer with unlicensed weapons.
On the same moment we got word from a unknown person on rochesterstation that there was a enormous ship hanging around the base.
He offerd the freelancer a place too retreat.
The freelancer ran too the base.
Didnt expect he was followed by the navy.

Turned out it was that bloody Battlecruiser from the 522 again.
So we halted at 5k.
I knew we would have a hard time too take him out.
Specially when also a outcast sabre arrived under the name blackhat and there was a guy named scroundel.

We were 2 bombers a cruiser and 2 fighter.
myself. (bomber)
Mike Ypsilantis (bomber)
Cruiser LAV.BlackHole
Samantha casper (Fighter)
LPI officer shawn (Fighter)

I gave the 522 cruiser 2 min too retreat out of liberty space alive.
But than some happened.
Oure bloody cruiser left the scene.
Wasnt agree with how the navy acted said we were too trigger happy.
2 min later the cruiser opend fire, took me down pretty fast with those solaris batterys.
also i saw the LPI officer go down.
Later oure cruiser came back but i cant confirm this because i was picked up by a navy patrol and rushed too the medicalfacility on fort bush.
mmm scroundel was taken out by the same freelancer we followed, he also placed the killshot on the battlecruiser.

Ok here are the fact as i see them correct me iff iam wrong.
1) 522 has defected from Libert and here ally's.
2) They stole oure ships and equipment.
3) They work or have worked with Lanehackers and Rogues.
4) They are enemy's of Liberty and have too be handeled like that.
5) There is no point of discuss with them, we are at war.
6) Youre in the Navy not in a bloody tradercompany, we dont abandon oure people right before a battle.
That action costed us a bomber and a fighter, iff you dont like how the navy act dont even get in the
uniform and fly a Liberty cruiser, next time discuss it back on the base.

And than i have another question:
I see there is a lack of goo d info regarding too licenses.
Are they updated? or do we not use them anymore?

Sorry that iam not on patrol that often.
I recently got a letter from highcommand too start on my cruiser command training.
Most of the time iam on Westpoint or on the bridge of the Missouri to do some experience as bridgeofficer

A shorter shift for me today, however it was no less dangerous than the last. I departed from the Mississippi and everything was quiet for a couple minutes. Sub Lieutenant Malrone and I made a secure comm to coordinate our efforts. He had a suspicion on a Captain Rhys Dallows that could have been smuggling. His suspicions were correct when I found the Captain smuggling cardimine (Guncam file below). I halted him, however he unloaded his cargo and tried to deny everything. I asked Sub. Lieutenant Malrone for assistance on this matter, as he was heading to the Mississippi as well. After a banter of words the smuggler tried to bribe us, saying that he'll pay us 12 million credits for 1 hour of free smuggling. We curtly declined his offer and added another crime to his list. He finally undocked as I told him his list of crimes and paid Sub Lieutenant Malrone a fine of 4 million credits after now Ensign Casper arrived on scene. After the smuggler, Ensign Casper, Sub. Lt. Malrone and I proceeded to Manhattan as per orders from Commander Winston. There seemed to be a dispute between him and a trader, however I continued patrolling New York due to the lack of importance in the matter. On my way back to the Mississippi, I found Captain Dallows with a cargo full of slaves. I ordered him to halt, but to no avail. I called LNS Dawn to intercept him at Norfolk, however I stopped him at the Texas gate in New York. I disabled his shields and ordered him to drop the slaves while the Dawn was on its way. He replied by shooting the slaves out of the airlock in hopes of killing them. I recieved the order to fire and we destroyed his ship. With the 5000 slaves out in open space, the LNS Commonwealth, LNS Dawn, Ensign Casper and I tried to tractor the survivors in and drop them at the Missouri. We were close to rescuing 900 slaves until the outcasts in the area managed to destroy the pods.

After the devestation caused by Captain Dallows, LNS Dawn, Ensign Casper and I were the only ones left on duty. We made several circuits around New York until we found Verillian, a well known outcast destroyer. We engaged the destroyer, hoping to eradicate this criminal until the Dawn was destroyed. During the battle, we saw a Bounty Hunter Gunship by the name of Felix Golden arrive and fired on Ensign Casper and me. We retaliated but the bounty hunter shot the Ensign down. I was alone with the cruiser and bounty hunter, however the cruiser gave me a chance to flee. I continued fire on both of them until I too fell to the Gunship's missiles. Yes, it was a surprise to all when a bounty hunter attacked a LN officer or any lawful ship. He claimed that Verillian had an "anonymous benefactor". Even the cruiser captain was awed, and I believe he open fired on his apparent "friend". I have taken guncam shots of the attack on Verillian and the firing on my ship by the bounty hunter. A BHG was believed to have entered the scene, but I have no proof as I was jetting toward the Missorui in my pod.

A bare wasp/hornet disabled my ship and should be no problem for the repair crews on the Missouri to fix. I would suggest that Felix Golden be put on the KOS list because of his firing on 2 LN officers.

We have recently received a report from Krusa Corraine of the Liberty Security Force and have been asked to forward it to the Liberty Forces channels. It would seem the communications systems at Norfolk are down for maintainence. According to the report, the upgrades being made to the Liberty Assault Ship Freedom are going as planned. In addition to the report is a number of scanner images and a summary log.
