THE BATTLE OF PLANET KIEL

This report is for the supplementary of Commander Backus's report.

During our rendevous, we found RNC Attempt Executer in a gunboat trying to bomb Manhattan. He claimed
that his ship was filled with explosives, however the Lexington quickly took him out in Manhattan orbit.

http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/GA1179.jpg

With the sensors picking up several Rheinland warships in Hamburg, we began mobilizing our ships and rendevousing at Houston. With some of the Rheinlanders breaking off into Hudson, we moved into the system finding 1 cruiser and a fighter. We were told to break off and destroy the fighter- [RSS]cpt.Rommel in a wraith. With the fighter destroyed, we deployed our fleet around the Hamburg jumpgate. A few moments later, a Rheinland cruiser jumped in, and was quickly destroyed due to our entrapment formation.

Our fleet quickly jumped into Hamburg, finding small resistance from the local patrols from the Military. With them dispatched, we moved into open regions of space, hoping to steer clear from the reported battleship that is stationed near Planet Kiel.

http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/GA1186.jpg

When our attack fleet had been organized, we began detecting activity which involved the Rheinland Admiral himself and his officers. Our fighter squadron:
http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/GA1185.jpg

screened the remainder of the fleet while the Commander of the Allegiance talked about treaties being signed. Met with vulgar comments from the seeder people from Rheinland, our engagement began with our fighters duking it our with their fighters.

http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/GA1187.jpg

Several capital ships from planet New Berlin and Oder Shipyard arrived to combat our fleet and the battle was in full tempo.

http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/GA1190.jpg
http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/GA1191.jpg

During the fight, the Retribution took heavy fire from the battleships that arrived and her crew was forced to abandon ship. Soon, the Allegiance followed suit and the crew was also forced to abandon ship. I took command of the situation and began concentrating fire on several bombers and capital ships.

http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/GA1202.jpg

Eventually, the 2 bombers, Kapinos and Young and with the gunboat [NGS]Bristol Bay arrived with a gunboat to help finish off the battleship Gneisenau and the gunboat Kaiser that was still left. Also, Recruit Jadin Larsen and [NGS]Bobford Smithton scored kills that were recorded from my guncam.

http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/GA1203.jpg
http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo269/Contann/GA1204.jpg

With all capital ships out of the fight, our fighters and bombers were almost finishing off the remainder of the Rheinland Military until several Volksfront ships arrived to reinforce their force. With that, I ordered a retreat. Jadin Larsen and Alexander Casero in my cargo hold, Joe Young, [NGS]Bobford Smithton, Marcellus Wallace, Viktor Navorski, and I jumped out of Hamburg and lifted the raid.

I would like to second Commander Backus's comment. Our force followed orders that were given on the battlefield which allowed us to destroy most if not all capital ships, and much of their fighters. It was an honor and privledge to work with such fine officers. I have learned much from the commanding officers present along the command opportunity. With each battle, hopefully we can better ourselves for the remainder of the war.

Lt.Commander Anderson, signing off.

::Duty Report::

My first week as a part of the finest Naval Fleet ever assembled brought more than I bargained for. I am amazed at the speed in which our Naval Force can be gathered to defend Liberty Space.

On my latest assignment, I gathered with several naval ships of various types and headed out to Hudson to ward off a potential threat from Rheinland. Just outside the Hudson/Hamburg jumpgate, we spotted Rommell, an obvious Rheinland scout sent ahead to warn of our arrival into Hamburg space. He was very elusive, but we managed to take him out. (Personal Note: I didn't take much pride in that fight, it was really six v one, at least. However, I was directly ordered to quickly dispatch him, so I did my duty).

Once all our forces were gathered, we jumped into Hamburg and quicly assembled in a defensive posture. Soon, a massive Rheinland fleet arrived, and the inevitable taunts and accusations that always precede batlle filled the comm system. I won't list all the combatants in the battle, I think that has already been stated. I will, however, show some scenes taken from my flight recorder which paints an accurate picture of the events that occured.

As far as my involvement, I managed to take down one Rheinland Military soldier by the name of Jan.Fuchs. I also, assisted in the take down of several others. Unfortunately, we were given the order to fall back to Hudson jumpgate and in so doing, my ship was destroyed. I don't know how, but I was tractored to safety by an Indie Navy fighter. So, at least I'm alive to fight another day.

Here are some pics of the battle:

My day started with a patrol around Texas, which was cut short by a navy distress call.
There had been reports of a gathering Rheinland Military attack fleet, consisting of 1 Battleship, 2 Battlecruisers, 3 gunboats and a fighter.

On our side was the [LN]-LNS-San.Francisco, the Libertad, an LABC and an assortment of bombers and fighters.

The rheinlanders approached into bering, and were engaged at the texas jump gate. A fierce battle ensued, in which the "Libertad" got destroyed, and the [LN]-LNS-San.Francisco took a lot of damage, and carried out an emergency jump into Texas.

The bombers and fighters turned out to be a hard target for the Rheinland caps, and they were all taken down one after the other.

On our return to Texas, i was hailed down by the San Francisco, which had taken extensive damage to engines and was stranded in mid-space in Texas.
We arranged for an emergency escort and i towed the San Francisco to Houston, where it remained it orbit long enough to supply it with bot, batteries and ship hull panels to undertake some emergency repairs.

Afterwards, i towed the San Francisco, as it still couldn't engage its cruise engines, to alaska, to get her moored by the shipyard to get repairs, while =LSF=Gamma-6 escorted us.

The San Francisco is in safe haven, and will hopefully be back in service in no time.

Ryan Out.

Well, that was fun... or perhaps not.

I recievced word of some Rogues in California, and after a brief moment of taunting, we found them and engaged.

Their force comprised of:

LR-I.Can't.Dance (Scimitar)
LR-Drunken.Hazard (Barghest)
LR-Toeclipper (Greyhound)
Skye (Bactrian)

Ours:

[LN]-Seth.Karlo (Avenger)
LPI.Norman.Radclyffe[O] (Liberator)
Pvt-James.Moore (Defender)

We engaged, and the LPI was shot down in the first 30 seconds, but a few seconds after that, I managed to CD a mine from Skye, gaining us our first kill:

http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p272/Se...r/screen754.jpg

Then, the Private went down, leaving me facing the three by themselves. I targeted the bomber, and after a while, managed to take him down aswell:

http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p272/Se...r/screen755.jpg

Sadly though, the Scimitar and Greyhound together on my damaged ship resulted in my having to eject a few minutes later, but I managed to damage both of them before I fell. I really need to stock more mine sin future, I keep running out.

Comm ID: LNS-Dallas

This is captain Harris reporting my ship's activities during this day.
The Dallas started out in Texas. After a short patrol of the system and no enemy ships found, I recieved a distress call from an LPI officer regarding a Wilde cruiser in New York. I ordered my crew to set course to his lsat known location and make haste. I arrived and spotted him fleeing towards the Colorado Jumphole and firing at LPI and Naval vessels. Ship scan indicated that he was holding human prisoners therefore he was not to be allowed to epsace. My gunners opend fire on him as soon as we were in range and managed to shoot him down. The infested crew was not captured due to somekind of explosive devices in their escape pods. It would appear that they would rather die than be captured. The prisoners, however, were safely retracted aboard the cruiser. Their identities will not be revealed due to security measures. All of them were transported to Willard for medical attention and full assessment owing to the experiment marks on them. I shall leave this matter to the scientists and the Navy higher command to investigate.

After this event, I ordered my crew to return the ship to Texas and resumed normal duty.

After a long and quiet afternoon spent orbiting planet Houston, I recieved another call, this time regarding an Outcast destroyer. Unfortunately I was unable to reach him in time because of a very persistant hacker bomber who was doing his best to destroy my ship. After giving him a chance to retreat and having no responce, my crew opened fire on the bomber and he soon fled facing immenent destruction.

Once again I apologize to the Naval staff for my delay.

This concluded my shift for the day.

Captain James Harris signing out.
