Looks like you've been even more busy in the meantime everyone.
I've read through the reports, everything in order as usual.

Save from those oddly misplaced ships everywhere.

First off: On the Zoner Aquilon-class Carrier, the "Flaming Bess".
Since this was the first time the ship was encountered, we'll leave it at a warning, as Zoners are in general a peaceful lot afterall.
However, if the captain of the ship breaks the law again and disobeys orders once more, and, most importantly, endangers the lifes of the citizens of Liberty...
Well, then you are authorized to use whatever means necessary to prevent any harm from being done to our people and yourself.
If that means the destruction of the ship, so be it.

We also will not contact the Council of Zoners at this time.
Should the ship cause trouble once more, we'll do, but there's no reason to do so for one-time-only matters.
Just causes more paperwork for everyone.

None of us want to have another enemy, ladies and gentlemen, but I think we can show good will here and hope for this to have been a one-time incident.

Second: The Phantoms "Dark Blossom" and "Gloom" encountered near West Point Academy.
We've had encounters with the Phantoms in the past, and two of them, or even three according to sensor data of yesterday night, showing up in the same place is a bad sign.

You are all ordered to be on the lookout for the Phantom ships, and to excercise extreme caution when approaching them.
If disabling the ships to capture the pilots proves impossible, you are to gather as much data as you can, without taking any unnecessary risks.
And most importantly, do whatever is necessary to defend the citizens of Liberty.

Third: The Gallic Royal Navy ship "The Grey Poupon" encountered in Manhattan orbit.
I have no idea whatsoever about what the hell a royalist capital ship would be doing in Liberty.
The whole "mission of peace" thing stinks, and getting any stray royalist ships out of our space is what we all should do if we encounter them.
No need to take any unnecessary risks until we recieve other orders from the government.

To Captain Malaign: Your title of Commodore has been revoked by the High Command.
You're hereby ordered to do the full work of a Captain as usual, since you seemed to be highly interested in doing so earlier.

To Captain Peters: Due to a database error most of the records regarding yourself have been lost.
We've added whatever we could salvage back into the secure database, however we had to decide about your priviledges in general.
The result is as follows:
You are still, as always, the captain and commanding officer of the Nimitz-class Assault Carrier Retribution
.
You maintain full authority over the ship, the strikecraft squadrons on it, and all onboard personnel.
In short, the beast's yours as it has always been.
You also maintain most priviledges according to your rank.
However, your actual command authority in the field is restricted to that of a Lieutenant-Commander of the Liberty Navy.
You're a special case in that regard, and I'm sure nobody will mind it that way.
On another note, it was good to have you on my wing earlier.

To Commander Elwood: For now we've decided to put you on a one-week trial before you regain your former rank.
During that time you have to fulfill the usual duties of a Commander, and you have to get your strikecraft sorted out as soon as possible.
You've got the authorization for "Codename Weaponry" still, so take your pick and get it done.
And Curtis, it's good to see you again. Been missing your loud mouth.

To Lieutenant Commander Casero: Your successful diplomatic approach with the royalist ship has been noted, and...
Well, I can only hope for other officers to learn from your example.
Getting the royalists out of Liberty, unharmed, and preventing the other ships in the area from firing on that Gunboat surely was no easy task.
So, good job Casero, damn good job.

To Lieutenant Commander Malrone: I've forwarded your report on trying to arrest a Phantom to Admiral Hale.
Not many men would've chosen to do so, especially not on their own.
Let me just say that your bravery has not gone unnoticed, Malrone.

So... what else was there....
Right, earlier today our forces neutralized an Outcast Gunship, two Rogue Gunboats and three Hellfire Legion strikecraft in New York.
Communication IDs of the Hellfire Legion strikecraft were:
[HF]-Andrew.LeBlanc, a Broadsword-class Bomber,
[HF]-Atheus, a Bayonet-class Heavy Fighter,
[HF]-Jim.McKinsey, a Sabre-class Very Heavy Fighter.
Other than that there was a large encounter with the Rheinland Military in Hudson afterwards and some other unlawfuls that were neutralized after said encounter.
Admiral Hale or Vice Admiral MacTavish will handle the report of all that I think, so that's all from me.
For now.

End of transmission.

REPORT UPDATED

~Lt. Commander Jack Malrone.
>Information to be forwarded to the LPI.

During my patrol today, I encountered three smugglers - Arkcyber, [OTC]Nuestra_Senora and LKW-WalterAG. They were hauling full loads of slaves, artifacts and counterfeit software respectively.

--Guncam024--
--Guncam025--
--Guncam026--

My question to High Command is such: If a Navy officer simply bumps into a smuggler, can he/she force said smuggler to empty his hold and pay the appropriate fine to the officer. Naturally, the officer would be required to document the encounter and include it in his/her report. The fine would also have to be wired to a LPI bank account for further processing.

I know our duty isn't to apprehend smugglers, however our duty is to uphold the law to the highest degree - I'd feel much better in knowing a shipment of Cardamine was going to be off Manhatten streets and instead vaporised by my Vengeance's.

>Minor pirate presence in California.

Today, a rookie rogue and greenhorn hacker were found in the vicinity of the New York jumpgate in California. At first, I was hesitant to neutralise them both - I attempted to persuade them into moving along, so they wouldn't get into too much trouble. This strategy failed, however, and I was forced into destroying both their vessels for the safety of a civilian trader.

>Large pirate presence in New York.

As I returned to New York, I was greeted by a large pirate force blocking the tradelanes from Manhatten to West Point. Being outnumbered almost five to one, I sent out a request for backup. The pirates seemed quite passive and were eventually convinced to retreat.

--Guncam027--

If one looks carefully at the guncam shots, you can clearly see a [/JG\] mercenary idling around with the pirates. Their action as of late is a tad concerning to me and I am requesting to send a message through the diplomatic channel to their consortium - Questioning why they are dealing with pirates and refusing to aid in lawful attacks against pirates. A nagging feeling tells me they're playing both sides, I'd like to get a clear answer from them before we allow them to partake in routine strikes against unlawfuls in the future - They may be collecting evidence on our tactics.

I know I may sound paranoid, but I feel at times like these its best to get a clear understand of who are friend and foe.

>Phantom seige of West Point. - HIGH PRIORITY

Whilst teaching the new Navy Engineering Recruits at West Point the basics of thermodynamic equilibrium, a Code One alert got issued and I was required to assist. Long range sensors picked up almost a dozen Phantom ships closing in on the West Point Military Academy. It would seem the Phantoms encountered yesterday were merely a scouting party, ahead of this armada that we faced today.

As I launched my bomber, I quickly realised I should've taken my fighter - Skilled fighter pilots awaited me. Nonetheless, I joined Lt. Cmdr Darkmoor in the battle for West Point. One by one our forces were getting depleted, I continued to bomb the Phantom gunboat, Ze'ev's.Yacht. Shot after shot landed on his shield, however very few did any actual damage. The Brookstone was downed, soon after the Aurora fell to their weapons. I continued to engage the enemy, in the hope that a strike force was being assembled to take them down all in the one place.

No such luck - My bomber reactor went critical and I was forced to eject. No doubt these Phantoms were trying to curb the number of fresh Liberty Navy recruits by bombing their academy - They have a particular interest with West Point, I'm just not too sure what that is at this point.

--Guncam028--
--Guncam029--
--Guncam030--
--Guncam031--

>Another pirate.

The battle for West Point left my ship in ruins and myself with a fractured tibia - So I was out of commission for a number of hours. Once back on duty I came across another pirate on the Manhatten-West Point tradelane - Gerald.Gallego. After he refused to leave, I engaged the target and we dueled for quite some time. One can only battle for so long with a half-fractured tibia and so I thought it'd be a good time for a new recruit to get a piece of the action. The recruit, who's name escapes me, must've given the pirate a serious shock, as he immediately engaged his cruise engines and took off without looking back.

--Guncam032--

>Rheinland Mercenary.

A mercenary with a Rheinland ship was spotted just idling outside Pueblo in Colorado. I ordered him to exit Liberty and not to return before obtaining a legal vessel. He seemed shocked that I would ask such a thing and immediately started to fire on my newly-obtained Guardian. After a severe beating he thought it best to flee with his tail between his legs.

Incomming message.......
Incrypted transmission....
Decoding.......................

*Salutes* Greetings sirs. I have two reports to file about my patrol, both concerning zone 21. I was patroling NY when I decided to guard the Alaska gate for a while when as soon as I arrived a mining vessel jumped out.
I quoted liberty codex and gave him a warning. About 1 minute later another ship entered alaska, I told him to ID himself, he decieved me and told me he was Navy Aff. I actually found out he is a traitor and is joining the order.

It dissapoints me officers that so many are thinking they can just fly past the gate, and that so many people are straying from justice and joinging criminal groups like the order.

Issac out.

Firstly, I would like to report the completion of a rather quiet patrol through all of Liberty's Core systems. Starting in California and ending in Texas. I was accompanied by a Freelancer, who's ship was called the Durandal, the pilot's name was Alex, he stuck with me for the entirety of the patrol, we met up in California, proceeding into New York and up into Colorado, doubling back through New York, and then into Pennsylvania, back through New York and into California, before heading back to Texas to finish the patrol and dock on the Mississippi for the night. On the way through each system we checked in with the stationary Battleships, to see if they needed an extra hand, and to make sure there weren't any reports of hostile activity nearby. Enclosed next will be documentation of my visit to each vessel.

>More Phantoms.

A continuing presence of Phantoms in Liberty has me concerned - I managed to track two of their vessels in Texas. As per Commodore Williams command, I attempted to track their movements in Texas. Tesla's.Revenge and Bloodwrath were their callsigns, however I lost them in the debris field.

--Guncam034--

A Junker, known as Shagohad-[T] was overheard on public comms "chatting" to these terrorists, offering them clearance to land on a Junker base. Obviously, assisting such a Class-0 terrorist groups is a serious crime. I would recommend the LSF keep a very close eye on this one.

--Guncam035--

>Rheinland Spy.

Yet another Rheinland spy was encountered today. He was simply passing in a lane from Colorado. In hot pursuit of the target, he made the mistake of firing on my ship. I read him what little rights he had as a prisoner of war and met up with Captain Backus at West Point for him to escort the prisoner further. Backus then left without returning - Without a cruise disruptor, the prisoner escaped. But he didn't get very far - I intercepted him in Texas and took him down.

--Guncam036--

He wont be supplying the Rheinlanders with any information on Liberty.

>Minor pirate presence in California.

On a routine patrol, I came across two Outcasts disabling a trade lane in California. I demanded they release the hostages they had on board and vacate the area. They refused and began to open fire on my Guardian. I hailed Sergeant Maggard and got him to bring in his bomber ASAP. After Maggard arrived, the gunship, Agent.56, high-tailed it out there, leaving on the bomber Solari.

--Guncam037--

After a quick battle, Maggard took down the Outcast bomber and California was all clear.

>Minor pirate presence in New York.

Yet another encounter with Damion"Killa-Kanga"Crow and Bendak.Starkiller on the Manhattan-West Point tradelane. Once again, it seems the Outcasts require both a gunship and bomber to eliminate my Guardian VHF. Both targets mumbled something about "lag" as their reasoning for excessive force.

--Guncam038--
--Guncam039--

>Another pirate.

magix. was the next pirate seen at the Manhattan-West Point tradelane. He seemed reluctant to leave and I placed him under arrest when he launched a mine at my fighter. He resisted arrest and I was forced to engage him.

After a quick fight, a freak ion storm caused both our ships to malfunction and I made an emergency landing on Manhattan.

Today, during a routine patrol through the New York system I, along with my Freelance Counterpart, Durandal encountered a pair of Bretonian Gunboats running silently along the trade-lane between Fort Bush and Norfolk Shipyard, at first I was slightly alarmed at the presence of two non-military foreign capital vessels in our space, but after making contact with the commanders of these two ships, they were identified as Freelancers, one a traveling artist, and the other a writer, the vessels were called Psychonaught and Riley.O'Gressif, both of them are peaceful in nature and I believe that neither poses a threat to Libertonian Security, if they are encountered I believe they should be treated without suspicion or fear.

After a brief conversation near Norfolk I decided to escort them through to Texas, and then into the edge of Bering, solely to make sure that they had a safe journey, they seemed to enjoy the sights, and colors of the systems we passed through.

Enclosed is an image taken when we parted ways: [Image: 7d0f23609d047f1bc59ab73c0eee3eae14a7f009.jpg]

They were appreciative of the escort I provided, and as you can see, they are well mannered.

Ensign Rachel Baker, reporting completion of a successful Escort mission and signing off!

Willows, Sarah - Commodore
Recipients: All Liberty Forces, especially Lieutenant Commander Malrone, Recruit Tyin and Recruit Baker

After reading through the reports, I have some good news and some bad news.

For a start, the High Command is still debating on the smuggler issue.
We're aware that the LPI is not always present when needed, and we're trying to find a solution to the problem, but we're trying to figure something out.
For now smugglers are to be treated as usual.

To Lieutenant Commander Malrone: Malrone, I don't like letting a smuggler go even though I could force him to get rid of his load at the spot either.
Until we've found a solution I simply can't give you the permission to act as you requested.

As for the breaches of Zone-21, we will increase the security in the area to handle further incursions.

The most concerning thing however is the Phantom activity in recent days.
My last order still stands, and there is only little we can do but try to monitor their movements and bolster West Point's defenses at this time.

Quote:You are all ordered to be on the lookout for the Phantom ships, and to excercise extreme caution when approaching them.
If disabling the ships to capture the pilots proves impossible, you are to gather as much data as you can, without taking any unnecessary risks.
And most importantly, do whatever is necessary to defend the citizens of Liberty.

Additionally, the Catapult-class Siege Cruiser Carson City and the Defiant-class Gunboats Chicago, Indiana and Lansing are now assigned to the West Point defense contingent.

On a happier note, we have two promotions today.
Recruits Tyin and Baker have both passed their trial periods, and are hereby promoted to Ensigns of the Liberty Navy.
It's good to see our new blood to be so dedicated and active right from the start, and I hope you two will stay the same in the future.
As for everyone else, show them around until they know every corner of Liberty in and out as you all do.
Especially Ensign Baker, since she seemed a bit lost in Virginia earlier.

And, on another more or less happy note, we've had an encounter with the Rheinland Military
in Hudson earlier.
Long range scans prior to the engagement indicated five Rheinland Military Very Heavy Fighters moving from Hamburg into Hudson.
I took the liberty to gather a volunteer force of equal size to repel the intruders.

Our flight consisted of Captain Peters, the three Liberty Security Force Agents Internity, Jacob Hagel, Jordi, and myself.
After jumping into Hudson we immediately noticed Rheinland Military IFF signatures on our scanners, and proceeded to "meet" them.

Hostile list:
[RM]Fw.Hans.Klemmer - 90-ARKM-N45 "Wraith" Very Heavy Fighter
[RM]Maj.Auztin.Engels - 90-ARKM-N45 "Wraith" Very Heavy Fighter
[RM]Maj.von.Engel - 90-ARKM-N45 "Wraith" Very Heavy Fighter
Jacob.Klein - 90-ARKM-N45 "Wraith" Very Heavy Fighter

and Stephen.Horst. - 90-ARKM-N45 "Wraith" Very Heavy Fighter
I gave them the option to power down their craft and surrender, which was returned with them giving us the same.
The fight erupted directly afterwards, and lasted for a good hour.
It would've lasted less, but the area was full of Ion Interferences.
We managed to shoot down both Majors of the Military and Jacob Klein.
A minute afterwards Stephen Horst was struck by an Ion Anomaly and vanished from our scanners.
The remaining hostile, Feldwebel Klemmer, first wanted to surrender, but then opened fire on my ship and tried to make a run for the Hamburg gate.
We pursued him to the gate, but I let him jump freely to deliver the message to his Major that he might hopefully make wiser decisions in the future.

To summarize:
No casulaties on our side.
Three Rheinland Military Very Heavy Fighters destroyed, one vanished, one retreated.
Aaand on a final note, I'd like to give Captain Peters and Agent Internity a verbal pat on the back for their performance in the fight.
Both got focus-fired for extended periods of time, but managed to stay alive and deal damage to the hostiles regardless of gunfire hammering on their hulls constantly.

So, that's all for now.

End of transmission.

Short one, with more good news.

First off, another promotion.
Recruit Preager has passed his trial period aswell and is hereby promoted to the rank of Ensign in the Liberty Navy.
Congratulations, Ensign Preager.

Second, our forces just vaporized a Rheinland Battleship, the RNC Stockholm, near Planet Houston a few minutes ago.
We had no casualities at all and managed to caputure the remaining members of the ship's crew.

Ensign Preager was present from the start and monitored the engagement, so he will upload a detailed report on it in a few minutes.

That's all.

End of transmission.

Today was quite a day.

When I made my way to New York from Ontario I was allerted by some civilians that there were several Phantoms rampaging about. And speaking off the devel when I came up on the Colorado gate I was welcomed by a mere: "Today is a good day to die, don't you think Tom Preager ?" and was promptly disrupted. As I was outnumbered 4 to 1 and the phantoms are vicious pilots I made a run for the New York gate and managed to get away without even being shot.

In New York I joined forces with more Liberty Navy and LSF personel to group for dealing with the Phantom threat. After some cat and mouse games they were pinned down at the California jump gate. Several people were already in fight as I joined the fray. In the intense firefight that followed we forced the Phantoms to retreat and even shooting one of them down.

When the Phantom threat was solved and it was relatively peacefull again I got permission to change to a Guardian very heavy fighter, which is I daresay the finest ship I ever used.

After some practice with my new Guardian in conneticut we received word of a Rheinland threat in the Texas system. It had already advanced to aproximately 20 K from Houston and had to be stopped.

The following vessels answered the call:

LNS-Apache
LNS-Compensation
Admiral Hale's Upholder
Commodore Willows' Upholder
Recruit Preager's Executioner

Although the heavily armored Rheinland Battleship put up quite a fight it was no match to the combined fire of our forces. The two assault cruisers' forward guns made short work of the ship and combined with the antimatter cannons from the bombers the battleship soon fell with next to no damage to our own ships.

After the next great threat to our free nation was nullified we gathered for more training in the Conneticut system which lasted for hours and was a great way to get used to my brand new ship.

Tom Preager out.
