Lt. Terry "Whiplash. One" Frost - Guardian VHF pilot

Whilst on patrol near Texas Jumpgate, noticed one bandit near Z21's minefield parameter. Gave chase and managed to claw in the distance on hostile which turned out to be an Outcast in a Sabre VHF. The outcast pilot had not engaged but was not responding to hails, and continued to look for the entrance into the minefield. After approx 3 minutes of tailing the bandit craft, LSF cruiser "Neo88" closed on the area and at this point the Outcast ship was more talkative. I advised the outcast to leave the system and escorted him to the gate, in which he left system through.

No weapons fire from the three ships involved in this incident.

Three things today, starting with:

Regarding the overly large melee in the California system;

Today, there was complete chaos in the California system, courtesy of the Liberty Rogues, the Xenos and the Lane Hackers, of which the Hellfire Legion is a subsidiary. I was commanding the Integrity at the time, with Joe McTyre being in a fighter and Vice Admiral Anderson being in a bomber. We also had various other pilots in tow, capital ship captains as well as strike ship pilots, the weight of which eventually forced the result of the battle.

The Integrity was not present from the outset, but I recieved reports of the McDonalds_Company Dreadnought recklessly attacking a threat in California. After the Dreadnought was disabled, the main battle took place...

Of note here, I would like you, Lieutenant Colonel Patterson and Lieutenant Will, to place this Captain and his commission under investigation and possibly ground it until further notice. We've recieved reports of this Captain's questionable behavior, and I myself have had the distinct pleasure of having to explain to him why we do not shoot Rheinlanders for just being born in Rheinland.

As far as I am aware, the Ven'Gyr, a Hellfire Legion Ranseur, attacked my co-cruiser as the Captain was making preparations for the coming battle. By the time he was back in the chair, it was over and core was overloading. The Integrity immediately made a tactical retreat to a safe distance to begin bombardment.

By this time, the Hellfire Legion had also pulled up their thieved battlecruiser, the Last Sunrise, into action in a close support role for the Ven'Gyr. For a small period, the Integrity found herself evading the fire of both the Battlecruiser and Dreadnought, which pacified her forward gun. This soon abated when the Integrity gained range.

However, as we again made to feed plasma into their hulls, we recieved fire from two or so bomber craft, which thankfully drew with them a pair of fighters trying to damage them. This allowed the Integrity to avoid most damage whilst the battlerazor gunners trained their sights on the incomming bombers. They scored one kill, the second being a suicide by dual nova torpedo... One bomber was left, which wasn't good enough to significantly damage the Integrity. Good thing too, as our nanobot store room was all but empty at that point.

We suffered steady casualties throughout the battle, strike fighters and gunboats alike, mostly to the guns of the Ven'Gyr. A silly captain decided that it would be good to go toe to toe with a Ranseur in his Liberty Gunboat, and promptly absorbed a Heavy Mortar shell.

At the end of the main skirmish, the Ven'Gyr was crippled and towed away by the Last Sunrise under fire. Unfortunately however, our strike fighter wing was significantly thinned to prevent the Last Sunrise from escaping, being blocked by their own fighter wing of Sabres, Falchions and a Bayonet or so.

As far as I am aware, the Xenos did not play a major role in the battle, but then, the Integrity was focussed on the capital ships, and I was fairly unconcerned with the enemy strike ships as long as they left us alone.

The Montana under the command of Admiral MacTavish arrived on the scene as the Ven'Gyr was disabled, and played no major part in the battle as far as I am aware.

To all pilots, we salvaged the result of the battle and it was a monumental effort that allowed this. However there was evident negligence and underestimation shown by pilots and captains at the beginning of the battle proper. Make sure not to repeat these mistakes again.

Regarding the Zoners, specifically the Temporary Autonomous Zoners;

Good riddance, I signed that document after hearing about the insults that Admiral Willows and the rest of the Liberty Navy were subjected to by a TAZ vessel. This is in addition to my already distrustful nature of Zoners, after infractions of the Zone 21 minefield as well as assisting the Phantoms, of all people, providing them with nanobots.

The Liberty Navy High Command expects all of you to enforce the following on the TAZ;

Quote:Attached file:

To: Temporary Autonomous Zoners
From: Liberty Navy
Subject: Expulsion Notice

Point ONE:
As of now, 00.00 hours, Sirius Main Time, January the sixteenth, all vessels belonging to the Temporary Autonomous Zoners ( [TAZ] ), regardless of ship size, purpose, specific location, designation, cargo, occupation and operational status are to leave Liberty space within twenty-four hours.

Failure to comply will result in the vessels in question being given an additional six-hour period of time during which they may request to be escorted out of Liberty space by present Liberty Navy forces in the area.

Failure to do the above will result with the vessels being impounded and shut down.
Should resistance be encountered, the vessels in question will be destroyed.

Point TWO:
From January the seventeenth, 00.00 hours, Sirius Main Time, all vessels belonging to the Temporary Autonomous Zoners are forbidden to enter outer Liberty space.

If a Temporary Autonomous Zoner vessel enters Liberty space from one of the adjacent Borderworlds, said vessel will be warned and ordered to turn around and leave Liberty space once, and then escorted out by forces of the Liberty Navy.

If the vessel does not comply or proves to be hesitant, or in other words, wastes the Liberty Navy's time, a fine, set as high as the highest-ranking officer on the scene sees fit will have to be paid.
Failure to comply will result in the vessel's cargo being confiscated and the vessel being escorted out of Liberty space.
Failure to comply with the above will result in the vessel's immediate destruction.
Should the same vessel be encountered in outer Liberty space once more, a second warning will be given.
After the second warning, the vessel will be treated as hostile and destroyed on sight upon entry of Liberty space.

Point THREE:
From January the seventeenth, 00.00 hours, Sirius Main Time, all vessels belonging to the Temporary Autonomous Zoners are strictly forbidden to enter Liberty Core space aswell.

If a Temporary Autonomous Zoner vessel enters Liberty Core space, that is the systems California, Colorado, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas, all the vessel's cargo will be confiscated at once.
Additionally, a fine will always have to be paid, once again set as high as the highest-ranking officer on the scene sees fit.
The vessel in question will afterwards be escorted out of Liberty space.
Failure to comply to do so will result in the vessel's immediate destruction and the period of time until the Temporary Autonomous Zoners may apply for re-entry will be extended by three days.
Should the same vessel be encountered in Liberty Core space again, the vessel will be treated as hostile and destroyed on sight upon entry of Liberty space, outer and Core systems, and the period of time will be extended by an additional three days.
There will be no second warning in this scenario.

Point FOUR:
Provided the above conditions are met and the period of time is not extended, the Temporary Autonomous Zoners may apply for re-entry into Liberty space from January the twenty-fourth, 00.00 hours, Sirius Main Time.
The Temporary Autonomous Zoners are to contact the High Command of the Liberty Navy if they decide on this course of action once the period of time has passed.

Signed,

Fleet Admiral David Hale, Liberty Navy Primary Fleet, Secondary Headquarters, Fort Bragg, Planet Manhattan,
Admiral Sarah Willows, Liberty Navy Primary Fleet, Battleship Overlord, Planet Manhattan, lower orbit,
Commodore Christina Robinson, Liberty Navy Primary Fleet, Battleship Durango, Planet Houston, lower orbit.

Regarding a message that Admiral Willows would like passed on;

Quote:
I would like to quickly give my commendations to the three new recruits, Arthur Mark, Micheal Vega and John Newman, for their exemplary performances during today's events. You acted as if you had been in the Liberty Navy for far longer than your recruit rank suggests, with the professionalism and dedication to duty that is expected of all naval officers. Continue this and you will find yourselves fulfilling you full potential as an officer in the Liberty Navy.

I witnessed a certain amount of performance from Micheal Vega today, which did involve a certain set of accidents with mines... however, his dedication is sound and I assume that so are Arthur Mark's and John Newman's. I am glad that you have already recieved a commendation from Admiral Willows, recruits. Fulfill the requirements to be incorporated as a full officer and I expect you will find yourself, as she said, fulfilling your full potential.

That is all for now...

Lt. Terry "Whiplash.One" Frost

Taking part of this battle as a rookie was a daunting experience to say the least. After moving into position with the fleet, I Noticed the Ven'Gyr moving to attack posiiton. It was already too late. One salvo took out the cruiser's shields and then another turned it into space debris. I really hope there were surviors.

During the battle I focused mainly on engaging fighters that were tailing my fellow Guardian/Upholder pilots, taking out the shields on at least two, unfortunately my weapons could not dent their hulls effectively.

Not long after that, the Ven'Gyr turned it's turrets on me and annihilated me in no more than a second, however my Ejection system fired the entire cockpit section clear of the explosion and I drifted towards the Integrity where their crew tractored me aboard. I'm really lucky to be alive.

I wish I could have done more in the battle.

Out.

[color=#99FF99]Sender: [color=#99FFFF]Willows, Sarah - Admiral, currently aboard the Battleship Overlord, Norfolk Shipyard, New York system.
Recipients: The Liberty Navy and Security Force, especially the Captains of the LNS-Firestorm, LNS-Lyza and the gentlemen 'Kayvesk' and 'Gunneberg'.

*No one else but Admiral Willows appears on the screen, sitting on her command seat aboard the Overlord and looking extremely angry.*

"So today I got my wonderful behind on patrol.
So today I was merrily flying on patrol.
So today everything was looking rather calm and quiet, aside from some usual minor local Pirate threats.
Until..."

*She slams her fist onto the console in front of her, sending tiny pieces of the plastic flying off into all directions.*

"A GODDAMN MOTHERFRAKKING RHEINLAND MILITARY BATTLESHIP SHOWED UP IN MOTHERFRAKKING A-FRAKKING-LASKA!"

*A short pause for her to catch her breath, followed by her fishing a cigarette out of her pocket and lighting it.*

"I want to know WHO the hell is responsible for not a Fighter, not a Bomber, not a Gunboat, not a Cruiser but a whole big damn king-size Bimarck-class Battleship of the Rheinland Military being able to enter our goddamn 'secret' frakking place.

I want to know HOW the hell that thing managed to bypass all our goddamn security.
I want to know WHY nobody was there to intecept it.
I want to know WHY none of you goddamn Security Force Spooks knew about such a big damn gigantic green coffin operating in that area of space.
I want to know WHY nobody knew about that damn thing being there until, by chance, a Secondary Fleet Captain informed me of it being there while I was on patrol.

Right now I'm sitting aboard the Overlord, and I've been trying to find out just how the frakk it is possible for that big a ship to slip into our space, unnoticed, unharmed, unmolested, un-frakking-touched.

Because I had to get the damn Overlord out of frakking nowhere on maximum speed, frying half the engine couplings and two secondary reactors to make the thing move as fast as it possibly can along with whatever Secondary Fleet ships I could gather in the short damn time in order to attempt to intercept and destroy that gigantic green piece of trash.

Un-frakking-fortunately, that ISN'T MY DAMN JOB IN THE FIRST FRAKKING PLACE!"

*She slams her fist on the console again, this time making even more pieces of plastic fly up high into the air.*

"I'VE JUST CHASED THE DAMN THING THROUGH OMICRON MINOR, OMICRON DELTA, OMICRON KAPPA, OMICRON SEVENTY-FRAKKING-FOUR, OMICRON THETA, SIGMA SEVENTEEN, SIGMA THIRTEEN AND THEN TO FRRAKKING FRANKFUUURT!"

*Aaand there goes the console.*

"I want to know who is responsible for this screw-up, and I want this goddamn trash to never happen again.
If the Rheinland Military's response time wasn't so bloody miserable I doubt we'd have gotten out of Frankfurt without a damn fight.
And so you bloody know, that goddamn green turtle's apparently managed to collect some actual data on our secret place, so yay-hay, even more problems for everyone."

*Obviously frustrated, but much calmer now, she leans back in her seat and closes her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath.*

"Last damn thing we need is more problems, especially if those come in the shape of Rheinlanders knowing about Alaska.

The only actual good thing that came out of this stunt is that maybe, maybe we managed to cause enough damage to frak with the Sturmvolk's systems and, just maybe, maybe we managed to frak with their records.

Aside from that, all the Secondary Fleet vessels, that would be the Gunboat Firestorm, Assault Battlecruiser Lyza and Captain Kayvesk managed to return home safely.
There's only been minor damage done to the ships, however this still stands as a glorious screw-up for everyone who didn't do their damn job and let the Sturmvolk slip into our space in the first place."

*Flicking the cigaratte away, she leans closer to the screen now, managing to flash a little smile for a moment.*

"There's a good side to this whole thing.
Namely, I got to see first-hand that some of the Secondary Fleet personnel aren't as bad as some people claim to be.
The Captains and crews of the Firestorm and Lyza performed admirably under the present conditions and I hope they'll serve as an example to other Secondary Fleet elements in the future.
Not to mention Captain Kayvesk, who already assisted me and the three Recruits Mark, Newman and Vega yesterday and helped to show 'em around."

*Lighting yet another cigarette, she catches sight of her own hand, bleeding from all the console-slamming action.*

"Well, frak... anyway, yeah, there's something else.
As much as I can't stand the Order, after the usual *****, they showed themselves cooperative even as we entered Omicron Minor.
Unfortunately, way too late to be of use.
What's more interesting is that I managed to actually get the aid of a present Corsair around their space, who then managed to intercept the Sturmvolk in the first place so we could damage it.
Now that one thing don't say much, but I think we might show ourselves a bit thankful and friendly to the Corsairs, regardless of what exactly they are, in the future.

What else... right.
Recruits Mark, Newman and Vega... I'd like you lot to spend your next hours acquiring the necessary Navy Guard Clearance in order for me being able to give the other high-ups a kick so we can get your promotions done.
Oh and, good job, everyone yesterday and everyone who was present during the chase today, including Mister Gunneberg, even though you got cut off from our group in the middle of the chase."

*She stands up and starts to walk off...*

"Maaac! Get me a band-aid or somethin'! And some Vodka!"

"Aye M'Queen! 'Ah 'um comin' to ye!"

*The screen fades to black.*

I too saw the Sturmvolk in Alaska, however I was not equipped to battle, I had no Nanobots or Shield Batts, so I did not engage, and I apologise if I did not assist. I felt it more important to report the infiltration to Navy personnel in New York system.

Admiral sir,

Regarding the lapse of security around Zone 21, I believe that it may be I who is to blame. The San Francisco was supposed to be on shift around the gate when we were called to a distress call in the California system. I assumed the automated defences would cover for us while we were gone, and none of the proximity alarms were set off.

Still, you went through an extreme journey because of my mistake, and I apologies from the bottom of my heart, and shall accept any punishment you deem fit.

Sup'. Sub-Lieutenant Willows here, although higher rank than Hale.

Stumbled into some action near West Point. Apparently a few pirates runnin' around causin' trouble. Got assisted by a Bounty Hunter named Oliver-something, whatever, he sounded like a spoiled little child from Bretonia.

Aaaanyways, smoked' some of them and one of them decided to run, cry for mommy and whatnot. Last fella' was chased all the way into the frickin' badlands, but the rabbit chase ended with the moron crashin' into an asteroid.

Salutations, bla-di-da, over and out.

Excuse me miss, it is your navy that wanted a war with the Rheinlanders, and you expect us to do a job that you simply cant be bothered to do. The Security Force is not your toy to play with, we do not fall under your command either. If you really care about Liberty you will go to Rheinland with the biggest armada you can muster and end this god forsaken war. Me and my agents have better things to do than run around picking up the lapses in your security. You even have a battleship stationed on the way to Alaska from Rheinland, why did her sensors not pick it up? If you don't have anything nice to say about the agency don't bother saying anything.
