I see by Lt. Cmdr. Joshua Ashfield's report that Mr Porter has pre-empted my announcement by flying a patrol with you gentlemen. I suppose my announcement on the subject is somewhat overdue.

[color=#CCFFFF]Captain David Porter has recently been transfered from an assignment in [font=Fixedsys][CLASSIFIED], and will be taking a front-line role within the Primary fleet. I have awarded him with the title of Commodore and a role in the high command structure. His skills compliment those of the already existing team, and I hope will allow more direct communication between the officers in the field and ourselves in high command when the rest of us are sadly buried under the mountains of paperwork which seem to encroach more and more on our duty hours.

I also wish to congratulate Mr. Porter's parents on their excellent choice of first name.

Also, in a slightly unusual move, I have promoted Lieutenant Catherine Raven to the rank of Captain. She has shown excellent command abilities, and a dedication which goes above and beyond that which is expected of someone of her previous rank. I have also assigned Miss Raven some new duties, including co-ordinating training sessions in fighter craft.

All of the usual instructors are at your disposal Miss Raven. Your new duties will be rather more taxing than they previously were.

I expect all officers within the navy will show these two officers the respect they require as befits their rank and the trust I have placed in them. They are both more than competant combat leader, excellent pilots in their own right, and show a steady mind under extreme pressure. These are the qualities everyone within the Navy should aspire towards.
