This evening, I took orbit from planet Manhattan where I rendezvoused with Ensign Dupuis in order to begin an orbital defense mission and sector sweep.

However, before long, an LSF Agent codenamed "Tracer" whisked in and stole the Ensign from my wing without authorization while I was tending to my ship. I understand that the Security Forces had a mission to accomplish, but protocols exist for a reason and the agent in question even stated later that he did not need Ensign Dupuis. Anyway, as soon as I ascertained the situation I recalled Ensign Dupuis to my position, much to the dismay of the allegedly stoic and professional Security Forces agent.

Following an apparent incident at "Rochester" involving the Security Forces, a Rogue and the Junker Congress, a rather heated verbal altercation occurred between myself and "Agent Tracer" whereby he proceeded to question the competence and commitment to duty of First Fleet Personnel...I suppose most of those details aren't important, but it's interesting to note that the Security Forces have seemingly returned to their belligerent and antagonistic "modus operandi" when dealing with Naval personnel. I can only imagine what sort of intrigue they're plotting now, but as ever it makes me uncomfortable.

Following the conclusion of my...conversation with Agent Tracer, Dupuis and I proceeded to West Point Military Academy where we ended our patrol so I could formally submit this report.

I have included a small fragment of audio-log transcripts with this transmission for your review.

To the Admiralty and High Command,

The Guardian is quite the ship to handle, and I couldn't wait to get a test run with it. The opportunity presented itself in New York in the form a ship bearing Pirate transponders, who claimed to be nothing more than a simple insurance salesman who was "testing out" and "experimenting" on his transponders for reasons he never made quite clear. I, of course, warned him that modifying your transponders without proper licences was illegal, and offered to escort him to Manhattan to get the situation fixed, which he refused.

As he was awfully close of the Badlands, I made the call and engaged him, Lt. Cmdr. Morse joining me shortly after. His transponders may not be the only thing he messed with, as his ship was jittering and 'jumpy', if I may say, making him hard to hit until his engine had a failure, allowing me toconfirm my first 'Blue' as most people refer them to.

Still high on adrenaline, Lt. Cmdr. Morse led me to California, where I dsplayed a certain disregard to protocol and some unprofessionalism, slightly mocking the Commander's choice in ship lights and engines, nothing more than playful banter. I'm glad in retrospect that he forgives me, all things considered. We also intercepted a Freelancer Behemoth tagged QuasiMad. I gave him a proper warning to change ship within the next 24 hours. As I do not know if he actually did, feel free to scrap his Behemoth he still has it next time it is spotted.

Lt. Cmdr. Morse figured that I was maybe a bit too nervous to properly continue my patrol, and as an ion storm was about to rage, we called it quits for now. Later the same day, Captain Baker scheduled me for Orbital defence of Manhattan. Once on the spot, as Captain Baker was busy handling another issue, a Rogue ship de-cloaked nearby Manhattan. An LSF agent known as Tracer was closer to it than I was, but I still gave chase to the pirate to at least chase him away from Manhattan's orbit.

Assisting the LSF as we chased the target into the scrap field behind Manhattan, Cpt. Baker returned and asked me a sitrep, as there was little time to give her a warning before chasing off. I told her that the Rogue was in the scrap field behind Manhattan, perhaps searching for a safe heaven from our lasers. Cpt. Baker, though, ordered me back to Manhattan, which apparently displeased the agent, who started taunting Baker.

Baker certainly isn't one to let herself be insulted, and she rightfully taunted the Agent back. It was my fault for leaving my superior's side without first asking her permission, but things got quite a lot more bitter rapidly. In the end, I believe it may have caused the agent the lost of his focus, as the Rogue managed to dock safely on Rochester, despite the Congressman warning him of otherwise.

Now, I understand the competition between the different organisations, and how there can be some rivalry, but I was slightly distressed by how the argument was going off on public comms for all to see. We're a nation at war, and with the risks of the Kusari crisis escalating, we may very well soon be deploying forces on four different fronts. The people needs to think we're at least united in the common goal of Homeland defence, and not just in this as if this were some kind of pissing contest, and we have better things to do than to create a cold between us and an intelligence agency at this particular moment.

Clearly though, the LSF knew exactly how to toy with Baker's button (such as by insisting on calling her Admiral, despite stating multiple times that her rank was that of Captain now). The agent clearly was attempting to get her to commit an incident. I fear that there may be a secret agenda behind this particular event, and I'm afraid it does not involve National Unity.

I suggest that we investigate this matter further and contact the LSF, but this is simply my opinion as a rookie. I know the Captain well enough by now to know her judgement here is not to be doubted, and I do not think she was at fault at all. In fact, in her place, I don't think I'd have had the nerves to handle the LSF. I suppose it's why she's my superior, after all.

Condensed report:
-Acquired Guardian from Battleship Missouri.
-Gained my first Blue against a pirate.
-QuasiMad's vessel is to be scrapped on sight if he's still flying a Behemoth, or using another Rheinlander technology.
-Engaged Rogue near Manhattan orbit.
-LSF agent Tracer taunts Liberty Navy, attempting to get Captain Baker to cause an incident.

Signing out,
Ensign Hélène Dupuis.

To the Admiralty and High Command,

I swear nothing's ever simple with me.

Launching from Los Angeles once more, I was on my way to group up with miss Raven, when I ended up face to face with an Unlawful battle group. Not willing to test my luck against a gunboat and a cruiser, I immediatly jumped to New York and requested for back up. Unfortunately, by the time we jumped back to California, they were already gone. As sensors would indicate they were out of Liberty House space, I figured they were no more our problem, and my actual patrol would begin.

We weren't halfway done securing New York, though, when a distress call came to us: the unlawful group was blockading Magellan, so we gathered a massive volunteer bomber and capital battlegroup to crush them. Our rendezvous point was the Magellan gate in California, with miss Raven commanding the assault. That is, until a LSF agent ruined the surprise and jumped "ahead to scout" as we were still preparing to jump.

This probably got them to scatter early, as our group was unable to track them down. Chastizing the LSF for is rash behavior, we tracked them down to the Cortez system, where the Asco was picked off by the bombers of our battlegroup [ERROR: GUNCAM FILE MISSING]. We went on a wild goose chase for a while after that, as the Scylla was constantly leading us all, even after we had secured every known exits of the system. It probably was nothing more than a decoy signal, though, for after a full half hour of search the signal finally disappeared.

Something's fishy about the LSF, I'm almost certain. He simply stated his "mission parameters" as I will call them were complete after we tried to question him about his behavior and how he directly disobeyed an order of the leading operation officer. Miss Raven wasn't particularly happy after this flight, and even suspected the Junkyard Artist to cooperate with the bandits, but I'd be willing to be my career that this time, she was entirely innocent.

On an unrelated note, though, Admiralty board, I will not accept nor tolerate being nicknamed 'Miss Gallia'. It's one thing to do playful banter after my origins, or even nickname me something silly related to them, but I will not accept being nicknamed after our enemies.

Condensed report:
-Met Unlawful battlegroup by New York gate, California system.
-Met up with Catherine Raven for patrol duty.
-Received distress comm about large pirate activity in Magellan.
-Assemble battlegroup in California. LSF agent ruins operation by giving away our intents early.
-Chase goes on for a whole half hour, if not longer. Asco destroyed, Scylla disappeared.
-Cool down chat with the Captain of the Bristol and the Junkyard artist before ending patrol.

Signing out,
Ensign Hélène Dupuis.

To the Admiralty and High Command,

I launched from Los Angeles once more, this time flying on my own at the beginning of this patrol, not expecting much to honestly happen. Of course, I should know better by now, since I soon received reports of a Kusari warship within Liberty's sovereign space. I attempted to hail it, but got no replies. Calling for backup, I took temporary command of the Navy of the area. I also took a few moments to warn the civilian vessel Kazu to get a new ship within 24 hours, as he was using Rheinlander technology.

It took us only a few short moments to find this Kempetai battlecruiser, the KDS Naginata. It claimed to be a dignitarian of some sort, but no such visits were booked today as far as I know, and I certainly was not informed of any Kusari warship ever being greenlighted into our space. That, and the fact it ignored my previous hails (which could've easily fixed this 'situation') made it pretty damning for the Kempei.

The ship then started behaving quite oddly, as if it were being handled by droids or something. It started talking gibberish about scannings, downloads and transfers, ignoring all of our requests, and was defiant in general. So, tired of being lead on, and not wanting it to farm any more information, we simply vaporized the ship. I still doubt there were any human life signs on board.

As a sidenote, it was a bad time to be this Xenos. I figured I could get some more target practice, but the LNS Generous Funding blasted all of its guns at it, and I was swept by friendly fire. My shields were instantly fried, and I was lucky enough to get out of its firing arcs before taking a hit to the hull or something. Regardlless, the Generouns Funding got the Xenos. Kinda wish he'd have at least apologized. We already had enough fighters on the target, this was just reckless!

After this set of events, I was on my way back to West Point to get minor repairs and a debriefing, but I instead surprised this MND Capital vessel lurking around in our space. With the help of the local secondary fleets, especially the LNS Conquistador, we neutralized this boat, despite it begging for its life and offering to "pay a fine". How -insulting- this encounter felt. I'm glad we took this scum out of our space.

I was just about to call it a day when I spotted this Kusarian Battleship orbitting Planet Manhattan. It refused to answer any of my hails, and was simply maneuvering around the planet. Once again, I requested backup and kept withing disrupting range of the Warship. Assembling a remarkable fleet in (almost) record time, we engaged the silently drifting vessel, which I think caused it to blurt something about scanning. Regardless, it went up in flames in a matter of seconds.

As a little extra, this Ranseur entered our scanners at the worst possible moment For it's own health anyway, hehe.

Condensed report:
-Kusari warship spotted within Liberty space. It ignores all hails.
-Kusari battlecruiser intercepted. It is uncooperative and destroyed. May have been here for spying purpose.
-(unlucky) Xenos pilot eliminated with extreme prejudice.
-MND Capital vessel intercepted within New York system.
-MND swiftly neutralized with assistance of Secondary fleets.
-Kusari battleship spotted orbiting Manhattan.
-Kusari battleship is uncooperative and unresponsive. It is swiftly terminated.
-(unlucky) Outcast battleship eliminated with extreme prejudice.

Addendum:

As a sidenote, I've noticed that my flight skills aren't as honed as they could be, potentially causing me to be a detriment to my wingmates. which is why I personally request to be combat trained by Lieutnant Catherine Raven herself, which's service record does state that she once held the role of Combat Trainer before her demotion. As she is the sole active Fleet member awarded with a Combat Domination Pin, and that my own personal record has so far been rather positive, I do believe this request to be fair. Of course, this would be in addition with standard combat training.

Signing out,
Ensign Hélène Dupuis.

ENCRYPTION: HIGH

To the Admiralty and High Command:

I have recently completed combat actions in the Liberty sector.

Combat Report for Lieutenant John Graham
June 8-21, 821 A.S.

June 8 - I was patrolling among the Norfolk Shipyard -> West Point trade lane when I came across the LNS-Ancorash being engaged by an Outcast bomber known only as "StealthCaster". Repeated attempts to get him to surrender proved to no avail, so I chased him to Buffalo base and eliminated him.

June 8 - A further patrol took me out of the Colorado gate into New York when I noticed a fight between 5th Fleet snubs and a rogue Sabre-class fighter by the name of Alycia Cahoone. Myself and the 5th fleet engaged the vessel, but due to complications (server lag), the Rogue managed to escape.

June 12 - A patrol that was going to take place in the Colorado system ended up with me, as well as two LSF officers, engaging a Lane Hacker transport by the name of Brokenclaw. After a long fight that dragged on to the Kepler system, I, along with the LSF vessels, successfully offed the vessels.

June 13 - This time, I was alerted to the presence of an Outcast dreadnought by the name of Magnus Carlsen outside of West Point. However, by the time I arrived, local auxiliary forces had already taken care of the problem, and I rescued multiple bounty hunter and navy pilots and returned them to Planet Manhattan and West Point, respectively.

June 21 - While out on a basic patrol, I was alerted to the distress call of the Phoenix vessel "Megapolis", a Nephilim-class Colony Ship that was displaced into Pennsylvania following a jump drive incident. I successfully flew into the system and escorted the vessel to the Magellan system, where it made course for the independent worlds.

June 22 - On patrol with Captain Baker within the Texas system, we discovered a Pirate train by the name of Hauler for Hire. Questioning led to his running to the New York system, where we successfully stopped him. He was found to have the captains of nine Navy gunboats and a Navy cruiser aboard his vessel, which were immediately jettisoned and picked up by Captain Baker. We then repeatedly ordered the vessel to dock on the nearest station and decommission the vessel, but he refused and began to run. Captain Baker gave the order of "weapons free" and I successfully dispatched the problem.

June 22 - While on the same patrol with Captain Baker, we met up with the LSF vessel "Warning Star", a liner-class fitted with an experimental cloaking device. While conversing, a Kishiro bomber vessel, "Hand of Justice", began to threaten the Warning Star, before launching multiple torpedoes against the vessel. Myself and Captain Baker raced to save the vessel, which we did while also offing the bomber.

Total hostile vessels destroyed:
  • Outcast bomber
  • Lane Hacker transport
  • Outcast dreadnought
  • Pirate train
  • Kishiro terrorist bomber
Total crew saved:
  • 1 Liberty Navy Pilot
  • 6 Bounty Hunter Pilots
  • 10 Gunboat Captains
  • 1 Cruiser Commander

To the Admiralty and High Command,

My patrol once more started in the California system, on my way to the New York system where I was meant to meet up with Captain Baker. I was instead immediatly contacted by some kind of Cardamine dealer who thought I could use a high. I of course reported this to Baker and played along with the criminal, attempting to have him give me a coordinate. Unfortunately for me, he revised himself and decided to disappear. Oh well.

Joining Baker's wing, a Cryer transport named "Antidote" carrying some of the good Sake stuff flew by, and I offered to pay for a crate of the drink. He was nice enough to share a few crates for our good services to Liberty. Guess there's a few perks in this job. This patrol looked like it was going to be smooth enough until a certain Salvager showed its face to Manhattan, and claimed that I should be be busy getting high, not flying in the Navy. Guess rumors fly around quick in the Junkers. The man was a pig otherwise, and rude in general. It was time to leave Manhattan orbit by that point.

This is when Liberty space became all kinds of messed up: a Ranseur was roaming near the Capital, and a Legate sneaked its way into New York from California. We first gave chase to the Ranseur, Captain Baker now comandeering the Durango, but it moored on Rochester despite the Junkers warning him not to. Oh well, at least we managed to pulverize the Corsair with the diligent command of Captain Baker and the payload of Graham.

Later that day, Captain Baker ordered me to hop on my fighter: Cadet Felix was having issues dealing with a smuggling freighter. I thought taking this guy out would be a simple enough task, but it turns out he put to shame Felix, Baker and I. We eventually got backup in the form of two Navy pilots, a LSF freighter commander, a civilian borderworld transport as well as a Dreadnought and two more Liberty Navy pilots on standby. It's also as a result of this battle that I have decided to acquire Paralyzer missiles.

After this issue was handled, Captain Baker split us into two different patrols, and I was tagged with her for an Independent Worlds patrol, which was completely uneventful. We were about to merge our patrols once more with Marshall's, when we spotted this smuggler right next of West Point. Poor guy was caught by greedy Bounty Hunters, and while we got him to surrender his cargo, he entirely refused to pay the million credits fine. which forced us to terminate him. I'm not even sure about registering the guy to the criminal board, I almost pity him. Regardless, this is when we ended our patrols for the day.

Condensed report:
-Attempted to get a Cardamine smuggler to sell me some of his goods, but he disappeared before I could track him down.
-Cryer transport Antidote donated enough alcohol to supply a little cellar!
-I swear I'm going to kill jhon_coinnor if I ever cross him again during a ptrol.
-Intercepted Ranseur battleship with the help of Graham and Baker. It escaped by mooring on Rochester.
-Intercepted and destroyed a Legate battleship with the help of Graham and Baker.
-Intercepted a Counterfeit software smuggler by the name of "peteris" (without quotation marks). Analyzis of wreckage suggests advanced targetting systems were installed on-board. Shipment of Counterfeit Softwares may be related. Must investigate further.
-Patrolled Independent worlds with Captain Baker. No activity spotted.
-Spotted a black market ammo smuggler by the name of "Miner_Twibs". Since he refused to fully cooperate, his vessel was scrapped.

Signing out,
Ensign Hélène Dupuis.
