Lieutenant Commander Reeves here, with another day of duty. Today I was joined by officer Carl Brutanadilewski. We patrolled New York together and noticed various ships we were trying to track down kept vanishing into thin air. We did however find a Mastadon transporting passengers improperly and they were unresponsive. So naturally, things for him didn't go well.
After this officer Carl found another transport that was smuggling, however the suspect fled arrest and docked on Manhattan, where he was promptly arrested by personnel on the surface.
After this we encountered a Lynx that engaged us out of the blue like a silent phantom. He was blown apart by defenses too quickly for me to get a guncam picture.
Last but not least we had an S.E.I tagged fighter doing reconnaissance in New York for Rheinland, attached below is the audio log of his confession and then our termination of his vessel, we dropped his pod off at the nearest facility for questioning.

This is Lieutenant Reed Icarus, 1st FLeet.

Filing the report for my security patrol earlier today.

Mostly, my time was spent dealing with obnoxious transport captains breaking trade regulations, as usual.

I spotted some junker Salvage Frigates breaking trade regs, but they vanished into Hamburg while spouting nonsense about Liberty laws not being applicable in Hudson.

I then found a derelict transport, callsign Wade_Shankton, with a hold full of refugees. It was an independent DSE mastadon, just floating there, completely unresponsive and defenseless. I decided to park my fighter and bring the Fort Wayne back to liberate the doomed passengers and transport them to safety. The mastadon was still unresponsive by the time I returned, and yet my decision was met with some negative comments from onlookers. I explained that I felt it was better that the majority of the refugees survive than they all perish aboard a derelict transport.

I was escorted back toward Texas by Lambda-5, a navy fighter pilot, and Lt. Commander Alex Kingston of 1st Fleet. We ran into a Xeno pilot, callsign Kelborn, at Cold Bay just after leaving the wreck of the DSE mastadon, and not long after my escorts engaged, a second Xeno fighter, callsign Leonard.White appeared. I tried to assist as best I could in the Ft. Wayne, but my escorts got fragged. Three Battlegroup Auxesia pilots offered their help, and engaged the Xenos as I steered the Ft. Wayne toward Texas. Once the Ft. Wayne was safely docked, I returned to Cold Bay in my fighter but the Xenos and the Auxesia pilots were gone. They claimed to have chased the Xenos away.

I stopped another mastadon hauling passengers and ordered him to dock on Planet Houston. However, the captain apparently decided to hide on the surface until I left, as they never returned to space while I was on duty.

I decided to dock my fighter and scramble my upholder, as the number of transports requiring holes in their hulls was getting out of hand, and I was anticipating encountering the junker frigates again.

Another independent DSE captain went by hauling passengers in a mastadon, callsign RaVeN-Skull. He did his damnedest to evade me when I ordered him to stop, but out of hesitation to risk civilian casualties, I tried my best to be patient. Once I had him cornered, he agreed to pay a fine and let all but 650 passengers disembark. However, he undocked after letting only 650 passengers off, and tried to get around me with 4,313 delegates onboard. What ensued was a sad sight, as I attempted to once again corral the obnoxious mastadon captain while he did his best to escape. By the time I got it through his thick skull that he could only carry 650 passengers, we had ended up in Rheinland-controlled space. I was fined for trespassing and escorted back to Hudson. It was humiliating.

However, my spirits were lifted when a Junker frigate and his escort decided to try their luck at convincing me that they were somehow immune to the laws of Liberty while in Hudson, and they lost the bet. As it turns out, the frigate was the same one I spotted earlier, and he ended up spouting nonsense about being immune from Liberty trade regulations even until the moment I ripped his hull open with my antimatter cannon.

More violators today.. This time in New York with a Mr.H with a transport from the Border Worlds and a full complement of pirate grade transport turrets. He was the only cargo violator that refused to yield to the law, maybe a KoS warning might have him rethinking what he does for a living. The others complied very well to my orders, despite my non-menacing appearance in the Lakewood. Maybe next time these cargo violators should invest in liners.

The skies of Liberty were cleansed once more today, starting with the usual minor violation of passenger regulations, followed by a Zoner Destroyer found off of West Point, which I escorted out of Liberty space, leading up to an appearance of long time annoyance DeathCollector spotted in between Manhattan and Baltimore Shipyard. A small battlegroup happened to assemble when his presence was announced to all Libertonian vessels within the area. I spotted him first and began pursuit over the Sol and above the Badlands and the lanes in between West Point Academy and Norfolk Shipyard. He engaged me before the reinforcements arrived, but once they appeared, it was a loosing battle for him.

After the usual traffic died down, an Outcast Flacata, callsign Tyrion_Lannister was spotted in Texas, and I swiftly engaged and eliminated him. Immediately afterwards, I spotted another Outcast piloting a 'Sabre' callsign VinceGoldsworthy. The LNS-South and I pursued the Sabre through Texas, around Buffalo Base in the Badlands, back to Texas, to Norfolk Shipyard, before forcing him into a rough landing inside Buffalo Base. After those events, I spotted a freelancer engaging Liberty Navy pilots, callsign 410th|Master-L, apparently collecting bounties. I am led to believe that he is working for the Gallic State, and must be purged immediately.

This is Cadet Ryan Dagnino, filing a report for my first patrol with the Liberty Navy.

I started my patrol by launching from Planet Manhattan ready for duty, and not long after I was contacted by Commander John Sader from the 5th fleet and several other Navy officers who were in capital ships. I joined them, and shortly afterwards Sader and I spotted a Scylla, callsign Deathcollector, on our scanners. The Rogue was heading toward the Colorado jump hole, and we pursued, while making it clear to Deathcollector that Rogues are not welcome in Liberty space. We jumped into the Colorado system, staying in range of the hostile. Our reinforcements soon arrived, including a dreadnought. The pirate was quickly dealt with.

Later, we returned to the New York system where we detected more Rogue contacts. This squadron included another Scylla, callsign Microchip as well as a Bactrian, Werewolf and some others. They drew us into the badlands, and a Freelancer sided with them. We engaged, and while the battle was not easy, we came out on top: thanks to the impressive skills of my fellow officers and subsequent assistance from Lieutenant Jason Hilerman. When the altercation was nearing an end and two hostiles had already fled, an Outcast vessel callsign Brainiac entered the vicinity and began to assist the remaining Rogues. The last few Rogues were eliminated and Brainiac was no match for us. The Outcast was destroyed when I delivered the killing blow via antimatter cannon.

Since all of the hostiles were taken care of, I reported to West Point Military Academy to repair my Upholder bomber. After the repairs, I resumed patrol in the Badlands with Commander John Sader to make sure there were no more enemy threats.

It was an honor to serve the Navy in my first patrol and I look forward to helping clear danger from the skies of Liberty again in the future.

This is Ensign Ryan Dagnino, filing a report regarding my second patrol.

I flew a very heavy fighter solo today in the New York system, and the patrol for the most part was uneventful. I scanned some traders travelling through and I am glad to report not one was carrying contraband or violating any regulations. After some time I received a distress call from an Ageria transport, who told me there was Rogue activity at Ft. Bush. Once I got there, I spotted one Rogue in a Barghest bomber on scanner. The Rogue, callsign Skotadi was next to the Ageria ship, who said Skotadi had attempted to extort money from him. I asked the pirate if this was true, and he confirmed it. The Ageria vessel offered assistance but I told him it was not necessary as I did not want to put him at risk. He managed to safely leave the area.
The trade lane was disrupted and the pirate had cut his engines, so I assessed the situation was stable enough to consult my superiors for guidance. However, before I could do so, the Barghest suddenly decided to engage, angry that I had enabled his "prey" to leave. My ship was instantly hit by a flurry of Hellfire Rockets. This damaged my fighter, but I quickly began evasive maneuvers and recovered. I proceeded to engage and eliminate the hostile.

This is Lieutenant Reed Icarus, 1st FLeet.

Had quite an eventful shift today. Certainly more entertaining than chasing trade regulation violators all day.

Received reports of rogues buzzing the lanes near West Point and scrambled my fighter. I assisted Lt. Hirlerman in hunting them down, but they disappeared into the badlands. Eventually a Lane Hacker poked their head out and we pounced on them. He ran into the Badlands but we pursued and I scrapped his Falchion. He was assisted by another Lane Hacker and we gave chase; however, we were unable to do much to him as his heavy fighter was much more maneuverable than our Guardians. We chased him all the way to the Pittsburgh Debris Field, where he escaped aboard a Rogue Destroyer.

In the meantime, we received reports of Legion capital ships near Manhattan, so we approached to aid Naval forces in the area. I switched out my fighter for my Upholder and decloaked behind the largest of the Legion ships, a cruiser, and I eventually managed to score the kill with my antimatter cannon. Lt. Hirlerman scored the kill on the gunboat. We then chased down a bomber who was attempting to aid the Legion vessels and I dispatched him with my cannon.

I returned from Manhattan to West Point behind Ensign Dagnino, and we discovered yet another rogue bomber. We both pursued him and Dagnino did a wonderful job of pounding the guy's shields and hull down, allowing me to scrap him with my cannon. I feel kind of greedy, though. Dagnino could easily have scored the kill on that one if I hadn't interfered.

Had a run-in with a 5th Fleet officer who insisted that I should follow his orders. I declined.

A Xeno Camara was spotted but evaded our ships several times.

A hegemon carrying an illegal number of delegates tried to slip by, and refused to stop when ordered. Admiral Jones gave the go ahead to open the damned thing up. The survivors were transported back to Manhattan aboard the LLS Fort Wayne.

Shortly afterward, two outcast sabres and a rogue Scylla were spotted, but the outcasts took the Scylla down for us. We then engaged the outcasts, but the Legion showed up once more, engaged with superior numbers and routed our fleet. Several ships were lost on all three sides.

I figured now would be a good time to file my report, while I'm waiting in the medbay to be cleared for further flight duty.

For what it's worth, I was impressed with Ensign Dagnino's ability as a pilot. Not just his flying ability, but his grace under pressure and behavior during combat as well.

Today was mostly uneventful despite a smuggler and pirate flying a 'Collector'. The former was handled rather quickly. While the latter just disabled my ship for now, putting a premature end to my patrol.
Things seemed quiet thereafter, despite the awkward flight back after ejecting, nothing else to report at this time. One criminal was taken down the other got away - for now. But you can't win them all.

This is Lt. Cmdr. Kingston here.

I apologize for my lack of patrols as of late, and I can confirm that it will not happen again. Personal issues have really tied me down, and in addition to some domestic problems as well, I'm afraid my patrols will need to be taking some further backlogging.

As of here, I am currently requesting a period of medical leave. I will disclose what medical problems I am going through in an attachment at the end of this report. I do hope that these medical problems are more superficial then they are of actual concern, as I do miss being on patrols with the rest of the Primary.

As I said, I will leave the medical analysis report at the end of my transmission. Take care, Primary.

Through the constant visits to the Medical Bay for radiation treatments has slowed the ability to create reports over my duties, I have drafted this report from my patrol today. An Artifact smuggler, callsign SirSprinkles, was spotted outside of Manhattan, attempting to smuggle the contraband into the area. He was quickly engaged and dispatched by LtCmdr Reeves and I, and his contraband turned into the Naval Customs department for processing. After that, I deactivated my vessel for later patrols.

The resumed patrol through Texas was stopped short by a freelancer piloting a Serenity who was in the wrong place, and was almost mistaken for a pirate. Luckily I was not prepared to fire an antimatter volley at him and he was safe. Upon the warning I gave upon him for hunting unlawfuls near the trade lane, a Xeno radical pirate appeared on sensors. Xeno PF|PhaIanx, was told to remove themselves from the area, and after a more forceful verbal warning, departed before he had a rocket pod forcing him to comply with orders. Immediately after, SirSprinkles was spotted once more with a cargo hold full of illegal munitions, was spotted traveling to Planet Houston. As soon as I ordered him to halt, he changed direction and began evasion. I pursued and engaged, aided by Secondary Fleet member Hellfire, through the Texas system, into the Bering system through a jumphole. After this failure to escape, he was quickly pacified and his cargo destroyed. After returning to Planet Manhattan for cargo duty, a Unione Corse vessel arrived, obviously out of place. The Corse, callsign Elise.Nuit, was not found to be breaking any known laws of Liberty, and was permitted to stay, and a small group gathered to converse, much to my dissatisfaction. After a large, unpredicted ion storm* passed through New York afterwards, forcing my own vessel along with several others to an early grounding.
