Unless anything exceptional happens, this will be my last report for the day. New York is bustling with activity like never before - both wanted and unwanted. There was a Fleet of Navy capital vessels worthy of the new year landing celebrations of the early 810s in orbit of Manhattan. Things soured swiftly when an Outcast fleet vessel approached the defense grid. The Akhetaten and company were chasing it through the Jersey debris field, but there was no way they'd catch up before it escaped into the Badlands - which is why I acted swiftly, took the tradelane to West Point, then California, to sandwich the Outcast ship. My plan was a success, and capital elements of the fleet proceeded to dispatch the threat. Two cruisers, an Outcast Storta and a Rogue Hel, were destroyed, while a third one succeeded to jump drive away in a sorry state.

I am a little bit proud, the Commodore praised me for my quick thinking, saying that only due to my actions were we able to intercept and dispatch them.

Signing out.

Launching my fighter from West Point, I quickly RDV'd with Admiral Baker in orbit of Planet Manhattan. A Junker ship then stumbled on us, and after ordering it to stop for a thorough scan, our suspicions were confirmed when we found artefacts hidden on board her ship. Ask the pilot to surrender the contraband, suspect first tried to flee, then opened fire on us until we disabled her ship. Artefacts were handed over, and a fine of 10,000 credits was issued. Artefacts were then dropped as evidence to our assets on Manhattan.

Things took an interesting change: the 5th and 46th wanted me to accompany them to the Earhart system for exploration. Due to the intense radiations in Earhart, we were stationed on board the LNS Odyssey until our presence would be needed. It is hard to just describe in words what we saw. I truly believe that, for a moment, I was experiencing the beautiful sense of wonder that our predecessors of the Libertonian Exploration Corp surely had themselves after years of crossing the vastness of space to discover beautiful systems such as Magellan, Bering or Kepler.

The first uncharted system was a frozen, inert wasteland, yet not completely dead: cryo-organisms were found aplenty in a drag zone of an ice field. There we also met a Technocrat that tried to poison our mind with cryptic warnings, and also offering to 'work with us' to 'help us understand' Earhart and the systems it connects to. We just moved on after wasting enough time with them.

The second system reminded me of how all the Holoshows portray the Omicrons: green, cloudy, hazy. We also found a single desolated crater of a world. We located near it a pocket of crystals which alien life forms, such as the ones found in Sirius, seem to desperately cling to.

Our final stop was to the Fairmont, and due to Earhart's intense radiation I witnessed this from the Odyssey's decks rather than on my fighter. A minute of silence was given to the victims, and we were tasked with figuring if the Fairmont was salvageable. As for how we'd tow it back to Liberty, no one knows, but we weren't the ones paid to figure that logistics mess out. It also appears that there will be a boarding party soon sent to the derelict vessel to try and gather bodies, evidence and other such things from the Fairmont - and I have volunteered myself to join their side when this happens.

After this, we returned to Liberty, safe and sound. I undocked from the Odyssey and instead docked on the Missouri to rest and take a rad-shower, ending my patrol.

On a final note, it was quite sweet to be praised by the senior officers of the 5th and 46th. They think I might have what's needed for the ESRD.

Patrols and sensors in Alaska reported intruders, as well as an unsanctioned jump through the Supergate. I was part of a small Navy Task Force to track them down, only to find ourselves dealing with Liberty Rogues, of all things. Seems like they want the goods in those uncharted systems just as much as anyone else.

Unfortunately, they split, and with the freighter's souped up engine, my fighter was unable to catch up. The 46th's pilot however chased down the other rogue to Omicron Minor, and eventually, Omicron Mu. Something we had to figure out on our own, as the pilot had gone radio silent in his desperate hunt.

It was frankly ruthless and risked all of our lives, as our small fleet entered Mu to try and secure the foolish pilot. A diplomatic incident nearly ensued.

This reveals a reality of the new Earhart system: if there are random jumpholes randomly created within Earhart that lead all around Sirius, just like this one opened next of Toledo, this could mean that tomorrow the Coalition, the Technocrats, Malta, or even space pink elephants could be our new neighbors, even if temporarily, if not permanently somehow. Our chases may also lead us to strange places. I suggest revising RoE protocole for Earhart-related expeditions.

Over and out.

It seems that our patrols are finding a few remnants of the Insurgency to deal with, those that wish to go out in a blaze of glory anyway. The first such vessel was an oddity, an Insurgency gunboat that only responded by telling us to Go F*ck Ourselves. Since it refused to obey any orders, it was swiftly dispatched. This was followed up by an even stranger encounter: an Insurgency Battleship in such disrepair that it was IFF'd as a Zoner vessel, but would only produce garbage IDs. We believed for a moment it might've drifted all the way from Pennsylvania with a crew long gone, considering its silence, but it opened fire on us. The ship's reactor went critical, and uh, scratch 1 Battleship kill for Ensign Randy Williams, the Patriot pilot.

Over and out.

An Unexpected surprise,

During a routine patrol around the Colorado and New York systems, while headed to Pennsylvania, I encountered a freelanced at the NY-PA Jump Gate. Upon scanning the vessel I found an abundant amount of contraband, and warned the vessel that hey would have to surrender the mentioned cargo. This included a large amount of weapons, and even some salvaged Nomad technology. Having warned the ship, when I received no response I dispatched them quickly, and took the recovered contraband and equipment to West Point for cataloging before moving it on to Norfolk for storage. I can only assume the person I encountered was some sort of arms smuggler and I just happened to catch them at an opportune time. I've attached relevant documentation of the encounter, as well as a full list of all recovered equipment.

Well, this if my first comm in so long, she thought to herself. It's been over three years since I've done this so I'm hoping I still remember what I'm doing. I've managed to turn it on, that's a start. Becca sniffles, wiping the blood away from her nose as she winces in pain. I do not miss this. Not one bit.

Apologise about the state I am in but I need to get this done whilst I'm still awake and while I still remember the majority of what happened. I am currently in my ward resting on one of these horrendous beds after my patrol yesterday. Becca flinches as a shooting pain runs down her back. Gripping her sides she groans as she tries to reschuffle making herself more comfortable. Oh wow... Sorry. I will try to keep this short.

My first solo patrol turned out to be rather interesting. I have to wonder if I've forgotten what it's like to police the systems of Liberty or if it's changed so much during my time in Westpoint. My patrol started in the Pennsylvania system where I made haste to Planet Erie to start my patrol. As soon as I entered Erie's orbit I was greeted with a Pirate Transport codenamed VA-301. Tried asking it a few questions, it didn't want to answer much. Tried running away a few times and eventually decided to enter the planets atmosphere without using the docking rights or mooring points... I do not know the status of the crew. I assume all hands lost as I saw the ship explode with my own eyes.

Minutes later we encountered Nefarious Jack. A freighter hauling Cardamine in front of Erie. Funny one this, he didn't stop, he fired on us and was transporting Cardamine. We opened fire back and gave him an ultimatum. Cease fire and stop or we will destroy your ship. Guess that got the message through as he stoped. We fined him heavily and escorted him out. Next time we take him in and hand him over to the LPI.

Yeah and then the reason I am in hospital... A distant voice is heard speaking to Becca. A nurse asking if she needs more pain relief. No no, I'm good thank you. I will be fine though a glass of water could be nice, thank you. You can hear the nurse faintly saying something and walking away whilst Becca readjusts herself. Shortly after we received a few distress calls from our own fleet saying that they were engaged by Lane Hackers. I got there as fast as my cruise engines could take me but I do not remember much after that. They were in New York, I jumped through to assist and then all I remember is people falling like flies one after another and then me. One minute I was on fire, the next I was here. That's all I remember. I have nothing more to add because I really need some rest so I hope you understand. I want to get back out ASAP.

Admiral Rachel A. Baker, reporting in.

Aviators, Fleet Officers, we appear to have a problem well within the borders of the Republic.

As I was conducting routine patrol activities this evening, I encountered a Cardamine smuggler in the Pennsylvania system, and it's been made extremely clear to me that Cardamine smuggling has reached somewhat of a fever pitch within our own borders. I was forced to withdraw from the fight, as my solo Defender was incapable of effectively disabling the smuggler transport -- this cannot be the norm for the First Fleet, we must step up our smuggler interdiction operations.

To that end, I am announcing the beginning of Operation Orange Juice, with the following objectives:

1. We will increase our patrol activities in the New York and Pennsylvania systems, with the intent of interdicting, capturing, or destroying, shipments of Cardamine and the ships carrying it.

2. If a ship will not surrender its illicit cargo and agree to the appropriate fines, show no quarter, destroy the ship and it's cargo.

We cannot allow these smugglers to operate so brazenly, and we cannot allow that substance to pollute our population further.

Samura smuggling operation.

My patrol commenced in New York, launching from the Norfolk Shipyard. I conducted thorough inspections of the Colorado, Texas, and Pennsylvania jumpgates. No signs of suspicious activity were found during my initial sweep. The journey then led me to West Point, and from there, I proceeded to the California System.

While patrolling along the Trade Lanes in California, I observed a serenity transport vessel en route from Mojave to Minor via the trade lane. I promptly hailed the transport's captain, but it wasn't until it reached the Magellan Jumpgate that they decided to comply with my request to stop. I followed the Serenity through the gate, where I conducted a routine scan of their cargo hold. Fortunately, the scan revealed no illegal contraband, just a load of superconductors.

Upon completing the scan of that transport vessel, I returned to the California system, proceeding straight back to California Minor. I followed the trade lane towards planet Mojave, which is where I encountered a transport with a Samura transponder and promptly initiated a halt command. The transport vessel's captain acknowledged my directive, bringing their train to a standstill. I performed another routine cargo hold scan. As the scan went on, I discovered that the vessel was ferrying artifacts. I executed the required disposal procedures, ensuring the artifacts were appropriately handled and removed from Liberty.

21-OCT-833

A Rogue encounter.

My patrol began at West Point, where I embarked on a routine inspection route. I headed towards Norfolk Shipyard, after which, I inspected the Texas gate area. Devoid of suspicious activity, I continued my route. Baltimore Shipyard and subsequently the Colorado jumpgate showed no signs of unlawful activity. I turned around, reversing my prior route.

As I approached West Point, my ship's sensors detected an incoming vessel with the callsign "Jhine." Shortly after, another Rogue bomber, using the callsign "RB-Veggie", entered the area. The Rogue vessels initiated communication, transmitting a demand for 20,000 credits. The message was clear: pay up, or face consequences. A firm refusal to yield to that attempt at extortion, the tension escalated rapidly.

Due to my refusal to entertain their shakedown, the Rogues wasted no time in initiating combat. At first, only one of the two broadswords engaged me, however, as our duel continued, "Jhine" began assisting his wingman. Both of the Rogue bombers were eliminated and I stopped my patrol shortly after as my defender suffered some integral damage.

That concludes my report of a successful combat patrol.
