Takeji's Notepad - Thexare - 10-28-2013 Contact List Kiyama Anjin
Affiliation: Artisan Farmer's Alliance
Initial contact: Met in Honshu system. Attempted to encourage me to take up arms against Synth Foods. Such is not my way, and I said as much. Synth escorts showed up shortly afterward, Anjin again attempted to pull me into the fight. A KNF patrol destroyed his ship, and I took his pod back to Kagoshima. Current status: Believed neutral-friendly Artisan Farmer's Alliance Initial contact: See Anjin
Current status: Believed neutral-friendly. They have offered a favor in exchange for saving their pilot. I have considered using this to be put into contact with a Hogosha syndicate; they control much of the Kusari underworld, and are a valuable source of information. One must, however, ensure that they don't become too embroiled in criminal politics... "Mystic" Affiliation: Eighth Arcanum Security
Initial contact: Known to deal in information, sought him out to do business. Current status: Business arrangements. Notes: Reasonably sure he has ties to an organization in the deep Omicrons. Cannot confirm, however. Kelly Combs Affiliation: Vagrant Raiders/Natio Octavarium Initial contact: Met at lunch on Seasons Base. Already aware of my line of work. Current status: Seemed friendly enough. Notes: Polite, intelligent, cultured - completely out of place among pirates. Should ask her about that. RE: Takeji's Notepad - Thexare - 10-28-2013 Notes - 1028 All quiet in Kusari. Business tends toward construction, both of lost Naval craft and assisting Rheinland in rebuilding. However, once Gallia's push is thwarted, they will likely pressure Kusari into joining the war, and will use Kusari as a shield. The Exiles will return in force to seize power from the weakened supporters of the Republic. The Dragons will act as well; already, several daimyo have risen to prominence. I suspect their unity will falter as each has their own ideas of how to run Kusari, but not until they make sufficient gains. This will prolong the civil war tremendously. If this bloodshed leads to the return of Imperial Kusari, I fear any good changes made by the Republic will be thrown out with the bad. Decades of regression. This will reignite the Chrysanthemum rebellion, and the cardamine trade that it brings. However, this outcome may still result in peace with Bretonia; though the Imperial forces were the ones that went to war, their time fighting a common enemy may have changed their relationship enough to end that. Should the Republic win out, Kusari will remain a Gallic puppet state. As a puppet of Gallia, they will be an easy target to cripple Gallic influence. This will be particularly tempting for the Maquis, Colonial Republic, Vagrant Raiders, and Outcasts, but I wouldn't rule out LSF and BIS involvement. The Dragons result is harder to predict. Their entire movement is founded on centuries-old politics. Their rage at Samura would likely result in crippling Kusari's industrial power, and by extension, Kusari as a whole. This outcome is least likely to result in hostilities with Bretonia. I suspect the Gas Miners would be more agreeable as well, given some of Samura's practices. Further research on the other houses will be needed, to update my old files and corroborate some reports. As of now, however, Liberty seems largely unchanged and as such is of the lowest priority. |
