Before the rollback I had a CT-53 "Heron" Civilian Train. Are these still available or have they been removed as I can't find them anywhere.

You can buy it in Saint Paul Base, Minnesota, or in Planet Honshu.
You can check all this things (where to buy a ship, where to sell commodities, where are the jumpholes) with the Freelancer Companion http://wiz0u.free.fr/prog/flc/

I'm unable to download the companion, my antivirus blocks the download and I cant override it.

As I said above, I can't download that. It's autoblocked and I'm not taking my firewall apart to let it through.
If there's an alternate download location I could try it might work, but directing me to the original site is no good

See if you can get FLStat, as that provides ship locations as well.
Use the link from Snoopyman, and scroll down to the link to FL Stat.
