Update 4 Scanner questions - Zayne Carrick - 11-08-2013

So...
Right now we have 4 scanners: crappy Scanner, Advanced Deep Scanner, Advanced Cargo Scanner and Spyglass/Battleship Scanner. Oh, and admin one.
Their ingame infocards are correct? Cause I've tried to search through INIs, but found only some weird stats about 20k detection range

Right now they do not work as intended it seems, or they haven't updated infocards on scanners.
Tested it just a moment ago in NT. Scanner with 5k range visual and 4k scanner in reality got 10k visual and 6k scan.

They seem to have fixed it. But I do not like it. It is EXTREMELY HARD to do a fleet battle when your view range is more limited then your gun range. It does not give people enough time to RP before they have to engage, it does not give the commander a clear view of the situation, it does now allow caps to be at their full combat range, it allows people to easily escape from view, it makes fights hectic to keep hold of and unenjoyable.

I am all for this new scanner plugin, its neat. But for goodness sake, please put the scanner ranges at 8-20k veiw range, not 3000-6000.

Unless I mount a battleship scanner, I am completely blind until something is right ontop of me.

You miss PvP fights, you miss RP opportunities. People could pass by each other at planet New Berlin and never see each other while trading. This is a good change, but it needs serious balancing.
