  4. Fighter Flight
  5. Convoys, Guarding an Operation

Our Goals

The key to success in the rough space the Guild has been operating in is security.
The Paramilitary's objective is to ensure the safety of all IMG operations and bases, as well as stopping the cardamine smuggle and human trafficking in the Taus. We accomplish this by:

  1. Escorting friendly traders and convoys
  2. Guarding mining operations
  3. Defending IMG ships and stations
  4. Intercepting contraband smugglers

For reference of whom we consider friendly, please refer to our diplomacy sheet: IMG Diplomacy

We have special cases of diplomacy with the CR, Mollys and Hessians described in this document: IMG Secret Diplomacy 1.c)

The following goods are considered contraband: Cardamine ; Slaves

Code of Conduct

The following section outlines the behaviour expected from any pilot, but is meant particularly for Paramilitary members:

  1. All pilots have to respect each other as well as members of other, non-hostile, factions and groups
  2. Full members of the IMG are equal in rank; recruits will follow orders given by full members; overall leader of the Paramilitary is Raymon Lister *1
  3. Recruits must carry the tag [R] : IMG|Name.Name[R] OR IMG|Shipname[R] OR IMG|Callsign[R]
  4. All members of the Paramilitary are obliged to fill in and constantly update the ship datasheet *2

  1. You are to follow the restrictions in use of technology set for the IMG (IMG, CR, Civilian), requests outside these restrictions have to be issued to the Paramilitary Leadership in the GuildComms
  2. Recruits are allowed to use Snubcraft ; full members may use Gunboats, if approved by the Paramilitary Leadership ; Capital Ships require special permission from the IMG Overall Leadership
  3. All pilots should use the Advanced Deep Scanner
  4. All Snubcraft should equip a UAU8, bigger vessels at least CAU4

Bomber Flight

This is a brief overview of how to fly a bomber class vessel (i.e. Roc, Nanda Devi)

  1. Create weapon groups for 1) EMP Guns, 2) SNAC/Nova Torpedo, 3) Hellfire Rocket Pod, 4) Cruiser Disruptor,
  2. Make sure you can use Strafing
  3. Never get close to a hostile Cruiser or Battleship, keep >300m distance
  4. Never fly alone, on a Bomber
  5. Never fire a Nova Torpedo with your shields down, and without announcing it
  6. Do not engage Fighters, on a Bomber
  7. If you are fighting a Gunboat, use hit-and-run tactics - Go in, aim and fire a SNAC, go out; timing this with your teammates is a good way of being successful
  8. Do not engage in groupfights consisting of snubs, on a Bomber

Fighter Flight

This is a brief overview of how to fly a fighter class vessel (i.e. Lhotse, Nyx)

  1. Create weapon groups for 1) All weapons, 2) Hullbusters only, 3) Shieldbusters only
  2. Make sure you can use Strafing and Engine Kill
  3. Refer to this as a basic guide for fighter combat
  4. If you are the target in a group fight, dodge, don't try fighting back too much
  5. If your shield goes down in a group fight, focus on not taking damage instead of hitting the enemy (of course, both is possible at the same time)
  6. Always watch out for mines floating in space during a fight
  7. Stay alert and in motion at all time, enemies can try to instantly shoot you down
  8. Shoot the announced target
  9. Do not spam comm channels during fights
  10. Do not drop mines with your shields down
  11. Do not fight alone, fighting in a group is more effective and safe
  12. You can detonate mines with a Cruise Disruptor, you may use this to damage your enemy, when he is dropping a mine, or create mine traps

Convoys, Guarding an Operation

IMG Paramilitary pilots are responsible for the safety of our miners and transports. Therefore, a set of guidelines has been established:

  1. Escorts must use the T3AM-Speak 3 application to communicate with the group/convoy
  2. Escorts, of convoys, must stay one lane ahead of the first transport (T1)
  3. Escorts should be equipped with an Advanced Deep Scanner and a (Train-)Cruise Disruptor
  4. Escorts may be Fighters, Bombers and Gunboats
  5. Always announce danger on T3AM-Speak first, then the comm channel
  6. When guarding a mining operation, stay within a 5k diameter of the operation; always be closer to the place danger is expected to come from
  7. Do not instantly engage a hostile target, wait until a plan has been figured out
