To: BAF | From Cryer - kikatsu - 11-13-2013 MESSAGE TO:
Bretonian Armed Forces SUBJECT: Emergency Evacuation Ladies and Gentlemen, I am Director Nigel K. Clarke of Cryer Pharmaceuticals and Medical Technologies, and I will simply cut to the chase. Since the fall of the Leeds system, hundreds of refugees have been streaming out into Liberty and the rest of Bretonia. Unfortunately this has separated friends and loved ones, as it is not always possible smuggle out an entire family at once, and Gallic forces only complicate the matter further. The refugees that have managed to flee to Cambridge have been feeding my company information on the extent of the damage on Leeds, including the tens of thousands of casualties that cannot make it off the planet or to areas safe from the GRN artillery fire. The Board of Directors has decided that it is going to be in everyone's best interest to evacuate as many people as possible, as soon as possible. We currently have the assets to prepare several heavy transports for full scale medical evacuations. However we lack the security resources to accomplish this task. Shortly, a similar communication will be sent to the Liberty government, detailing what we will need of them. However to accomplish this, the Armed Forces must be present. Currently our proposal is as follows: At least one Mastodon, likely the Rio Grande, would have to be refitted to serve as a hospital ship. We can handle that part ourselves. What we will need however are freighters with skilled pilots that are capable of running the blockade. We propose to sneak our hospital ship into Leeds and hide it in the smog cloud closest to the Magellan jump hole while the freighters shuttle wounded to the transport. Small BAF ships will have to defend the transport and the freighters, nothing large enough to set off GRN anti-orbital batteries. Once the transport has taken on as many wounded as we can safely transport, she will have to be escorted from cloud to cloud until she makes it to the New London jump hole, or possibly the Dublin jump hole if the GRN intercept the convoy. Once we get the ships out of Leeds it should be a simple matter to get them to Cambridge. If you approve of this plan, or wish to alter it and still go forward with the plan, let us know immediately so we can prepare our ships. Once to Cambridge, we will treat the wounded with the best and most advanced medical supplies Cryer has at its disposal. After we have moved as many as we can without alerting the Gallic forces, we are prepared to assist in the war effort by providing medical provisions to the front line, so that your pilots and officers wounded in battle do not need to be moved to a facility unless absolutely needed. This will cut down on medical ships running the risk of being shot down, and will help with immediate medical care on the spot. As such, we hope that Cryer will be your one and only stop in seeking medical supplies of the quantity we are prepared to send. Men and women are suffering my friends... It is time to accept aid and save precious lives. We eagerly await your response -Clarke. RE: To: BAF | From Cryer - Xelon - 11-15-2013 ...Incoming Transmission...
Source ID: Admiral Mike Havering Source Location: Planet New London Encryption: High Priority: medium Good day to you Mister Clarke I'm happy to hear of your concern for the Civillians left on Leeds, but rest assured that the Merchant Navy and the Armed Forces are working night and day to get the last of them off Leeds. The evacuation beforehand has already seen to it that a big chunck of the population was removed and brought to saver places. But this doesn't mean that the help isn't welcome, medical staff and equipment is always needed as is more manpower for the evacuation. Signed: Mike Havering ...Transmission lost...
