53. Rote Jäger (Hessian Faction) - Rote Jäger - 11-30-2013 Basic Overview Faction Name: 53. Rote Jäger Tag: [53.RJ] ID/IFF: Hessian Base of operations:Freital Base, Omega-11 Objectives: Collection of intelligence and information vital to the success of the Hessians, and the delivery of this information to the main Red Hessian Army and all other groups of Red Hessians. Secondary Objectives: Assisting other Red Hessian forces in battle against the Rheinland Authorities, 'collecting' funds from traders in Rheinland and the borderworlds to help fuel the red Hessians, harrasing important Rheinland convoys in order to weaken the Rheinland authorities and therefor the Rheinland government. History The Rote Jaegers were founded by Majors Johann Hertz and Gerhard Seisburg , red hessians who wanted to form an independent group within the faction, in order to achieve their goals more effectively. Unfortunately, they happened to have thought this up in the bar on Freital, after a good week of pirating. So, in their drunk state, they managed to spell the name wrong. They also managed to not notice the constant sniggers and humiliation they were receiving due to this stupid mistake. They only realized when 'collecting a toll charge' from a passing IMG miner, on the 3/12/820 A.S, when the miner brought it to their attention. The miner was thanked, then promptly executed. The group was already within the Hessian army, but was not made official until 20/11/820 A.S, when the two majors declared it official. Since then, the group have launched guerrilla attacks and violent raiding parties, and has never failed to complete any of it's missions. It was decided the day after its founding, that they should establish a main base of operations. Freital base, in Omega-11 was thought as the best candidate, due to it's close proximity to the Rheinland uncut diamond shipments, and it's tactical advantages such as it's position in an asteroid field, which provides great cover for escapes. New objectives were formulated on the 6/12/820 A.S which meant that the group was now concentrating more on gathering intelligence, in order to ensure the success of the various red hessian groups. On 8/12/820 A.S, the group declared Johann Hertz in command off all Jaeger units, and he was given the rank of Colonel. He was killed in action 4 weeks later and Major Seisburg inherited the position. Roster Colonel Gerhard Seisburg ~ (//Cashewnut) Was born on Planet New Berlin and is now 41 years old. He and Hertz have been friends for some 20 years after Seisburg's family was killed by the police for crimes he doesn't talk about. He is however more lenient than Hertz and is probably the one you would prefer to talk to. Seisburg is known for his tactical fighting and team work, he is a good leader and is a good pilot. He currently owns a Hessian 'Vidar' Cruiser. His mind stays stubborn for long periods of time over certain matters and he doesn't like to give in on his views. He and Hertz wanted a separate group of Hessians that could only be the very best; this is a new challenge for them so they are taking advice from all of their contacts. He recently inherited the Leadership of the Jäger and is now a Colonel.
