Gentlemen,

Firstly, Lieutenant Commander Morse, my congratulations on your promotion. It's well deserved, and I look forward to watching your list of achievements grow in your new appointment.

Earlier this evening Fort Wayne was offered an escort by one James Knocks, apparently a pirate-turned Freelancer. He claimed to have fought alongside Admiral Polstari and the pair of you during an altercation in Kepler.

Code:
James.Knocks: It was Mr Polstari, Mr Hood, and Mr Morse who I flew with
James.Knocks: There was a situation at Kepler, thats where Mr Hood introduced me to the other pilots

I had no issues with Knocks' performance as an escort; however, I want to confirm that he is who he claims to be before trusting him alongside any of our more secure shipments. I'm sure you all appreciate the current situation necessitates employing civilian contractors where we might normally prefer our own pilots, but I want to be certain that those contractors are not going to turn my transports into scrap before I hire them. Bearing that in mind, I would be mighty glad of any information you can provide on Knocks' history with the navy.

Hartman, out.

Ma'am,

Yes, Knocks, I remember him. He seems to be attempting to right some wrongs in his past. He was rather impressive that day in Kepler, took down three fighters on his own in just a couple of minutes. I actually ran into him again the next day during a Rheinland raid in Texas, he again assisted our forces, took down a fighter too, if I remember right.

Anyway, not sure about his history before that, but he seems more than willing to help, and doesn't seem to harbor any ill will towards us. I'm afraid I don't have any more information then that. All in all he seems trustworthy, hasn't gave me a real reason to doubt him yet.

Morse.

Lieutenant Commander,

That matches what I've seen of him. It seems his escapades with your wing may have had more of an impact then you thought. I received word from West Point earlier today regarding the appointment of one Ensign James Knocks to the Secondary Fleet. Quite the role model you're becoming, Morse. Further, I had another run-in with the Ensign on a transport recovery run, which he handled acceptably.

All considered, I can't see an issue with him working alongside our larger convoys in future. Although I'd be grateful if you could keep an eye on his communications. Doesn't seem like there's any love lost between him and the Rogues, but I'd like to know if his old life resurfaces in any capacity that could threaten our operations.

Hartman, out.
