Happy new year to all no-lifes that are reading this just after posting!
But now let's be serious. I've just logged in my char that was docked at Kenningston Shipping Platform (if I didn't broke the name, I mean this long station near green/blue gas giant in NL). So, after logging in my ship was 4k above. I had this bug several times before in different places.

Base had to much Champagne and you better check your astro navigator and ask if he had to much Champagne

What type of ship were you using? I'm assuming it's something large like a transport.
This could be an oddity (or intended feature?) of tweaks to the large ship mooring procedure, but it's a bit hard to tell. When approaching and docking with the base, does everything work fine? When you undock, are you clear from collision with any objects, and are you facing the correct direction?

Hm, that day I was flying Crow heavy fighter, and the other times it was CSF. Everything was fine when docking and approaching the station. I was even facing the right direction, I was just 4k above. Oh, I forgot to mention, when I was in CSF I was below, not above.
