To: Michael Edridge, CEO of Ageira Technologies - ulfsarkhuskarl - 01-03-2014 ![]() Guten tag, Edridge. I wanted to let you know that the new engine is being installed as we speak, I must say I did not expect and entire crew to be available as soon as I dock. The CE-Hx engine has been taken off and I think I overheard one of the engineers saying that they will use it for scrap metal. I suppose so since it was not very good for the Wraith either way. I am hoping that the XV-440 received will not disturb the ship’s core like the other one, it does not feel safe knowing that the engine could explode anytime. I will take the ship for flight once the tests have been finalized and I will let you know how the ship’s core and other systems function with the new engine. Auf wiedersehen. ![]() RE: To: Michael Edridge, CEO of Ageira Technologies - Michael Edridge - 01-03-2014 Good day, miss Wolfer.
Indeed, the Civilian engine line developed by third party companies is good for little more than replacement parts, as to be expected. There shouldn’t be any complications with your ship and our engines either, but that still remains to be seen, as Rheinland may have deviated far more greatly from the original Valhalla engine line than we have. I would like to assure you that our engines are constantly monitored by your own ships systems, and should they reach a dangerous level in any manner, they are immediately flushed with coolant. If the situation is not resolved soon after, you’re warned to get somewhere safe, as the engines will shut down before reaching a critical level.
So if there are any issues, expect a stop-and-go situation. I recommend staying near a friendly station as to limit the possibility of being stranded in, say, the middle of the Badlands. I’ll leave this channel open in case you do need any assistance. Do take care, and thank you for choosing Ageira Technologies. RE: To: Michael Edridge, CEO of Ageira Technologies - ulfsarkhuskarl - 01-03-2014 ![]() Hallo, Edridge. I must say that the new engine certainly does not have a constant warning notification that makes my entire cockpit look like it's Christmas inside, there seems to be no warnings and I see no system errors. I am currently outside Detroit doing the suggested engine test and everything looks alright, there seems to be no flaws, wunderbar! I will begin docking with the lanes and see what’s going to happen... and it seems nothing has shut down. Meanwhile I will proceed towards a gate and see how that will go. I very much appreciate the assistance you have given me, it is a rare occasion for someone to help a foreigner, It feels nice and welcoming, oh, at a gate already. Initializing jump drives, stand-by... wunderbar! Everything seems to be alright, the ship has passed all the tests. Now it will all depends on the test of time, how will the ship react with the engines on a longer amount of time in use. I will contact you again and will let you know. Danke, auf wiedersehen. ![]() RE: To: Michael Edridge, CEO of Ageira Technologies - Michael Edridge - 01-03-2014 That is quite excellent to hear, miss Wolfer. Do be safe out there, however. It’s been quite nasty outside of New York as of late.
As for the friendly reception? Well, it’s not especially in Ageiras favor to be hostile to foreign houses, as it’s quite bad for business. But being as much of a businessman as I am, I also do have a heart that’s not entirely frozen. Someone’ll be here to receive your following messages, miss Wolfer. Until then! RE: To: Michael Edridge, CEO of Ageira Technologies - ulfsarkhuskarl - 01-03-2014 ![]() Guten abend, Edridge. Being rude to someone sure is bad for business however having a hearth in business is unique. I have unfortunate news. Earlier today the ship has shut down due to an engine overheat, after a constant use of trade lanes, cruise speed and a few jump drive activations the engines simply could not take it anymore and have shut down immediately. I am fortunate to be alive, with the entire system shutdown I was not able to send a distress call, I was rescued by a passing trade convoy, I'm glad no hostile vessel has come by or even someone that has not heard the news about my ship. The engine is being uninstalled as we speak, I cannot fly something that cannot be sustained, what if it was to be something more than just an overheat? The Wraith was first designed with the advanced VP-E9 an engine that was using MOX as the primary fuel, it was not cost efficient however it was definitely worth it specially for combat purposes. However the advanced version is only manufactured with the ship, any attempt at removing the engine will just ruin it becoming useless. The VP-E9 can be found on any Rheinland colony ships however they do not have the same strength as a combat ship would need. The ship needs an engine that can work on all or most types of fuel, something that will accept MOX and other types. The ship core needs MOX in it's system, it does not need a lot therefore the primary source can be something else, it is something like oil on the ancient Earth motorbikes they need something else in the system for whatever reasons. I have no idea about any engines of those sort, I am not an expert in them, any suggestions? For the meanwhile I will remain on Detroit, I am going to try out your Liberty ale. Danke shoen, auf wiedersehen. ![]() RE: To: Michael Edridge, CEO of Ageira Technologies - Michael Edridge - 01-03-2014 Ah, unfortunate news indeed. I must say I did warn you to be near a friendly locale in case that happened, which generally includes avoiding long lanes or clouds. But, it’s good to see you’re alive and well.
As for an engine? Well, various pirate groups have managed to make engines that run off of anything from H-fuel to explosive fumes from heaven-knows what. I assume the Bounty Hunters may have a similar system of their own. We could certainly see what we have from any ship recoveries or repairs, but I advise you look into other sources for a capable engine, in case we do not have what you are looking for. I’ll speak to you again soon, hopefully with a good idea of what we have available. RE: To: Michael Edridge, CEO of Ageira Technologies - ulfsarkhuskarl - 01-03-2014 ![]() Guten morgan, Edridge. Jawohl, you have warned me but I had to put the engine to the test, to see if it will truly work as it has to and it is a good thing I did the test, because this unfortunate accident could have happened in combat. I have read a few reports about the engine you have mentioned, I believe it is the HN-C11 an engine that is designed for long range travel however that does not mean it is not good for what I need it, it's resilience is perfect for combat purposes and the fact that it can use multiple types of fuel it is exactly what the Wraith needs. A long time ago I have helped a Bounty Hunter with one of his "bounties" ever since then she has promised to do me a favor when I am need of one. And this is the favor I needed. I have contacted her and she agreed to bring one of the engines the Bounty Hunters use on their elite fighters, the engine will arrive in Liberty soon since one of their depots is close to the borders of Liberty. I hope that the this engine will be what I am looking for and first of all I hope that the ship will work fine with it. Until next time, auf wiedersehen. ![]() RE: To: Michael Edridge, CEO of Ageira Technologies - Michael Edridge - 01-03-2014 That’s certainly good to hear then. It’d take us a few days to go through all of our records and manage to find anything usable. If you can’t find a friendly face to get the engine installed properly, we at Ageira will certainly take care of it for you.
If you’d like, we’d be happy to provide our proprietary monitoring and, let’s say, industrial strength cooling systems to ensure all things run as smoothly as possible. Let me know what you’d like, miss Wolfer. RE: To: Michael Edridge, CEO of Ageira Technologies - ulfsarkhuskarl - 01-03-2014 ![]() Hallo once again, herr Edridge. I will not deny any assistance I can get, after all I am not an engineer I wouldn't know what you and your crew can do. I will accept your offer and I will not hesitate to pay the ordinary taxes for installment of such, after all you have done enough for me. As always, I will remain on Detroit until the new engine will arrive. Auf wiedersehen. ![]() RE: To: Michael Edridge, CEO of Ageira Technologies - ulfsarkhuskarl - 01-03-2014 ![]() Guten abend, herr Edridge. My contact has arrived bearing the engine requested. The engineers are working on the installation of it as I speak. Hopefully with the new engine and a bit of MOX mixed in with the plasma cells the ship will function at it’s full potential and with the new cooling systems provided by you the systems should remain in the green. The ship could not have been operational once again without your help. Danke schoen! ![]() |
