well i am not so familiar with the data strukture of freelancer but could we not bring other Language sound files to certin faktions/ house?
Like the german version soundfiles for rheinland or the japanese version(dont know if there is one) soundfiles for kusari and so on.

For immersion of course. I actually thing this is a pretty good idea. It shouldn't be too difficult, since you just need to copy-paste the sound files from the different language versions to Disco. And if need be, it could be an optional thing, where you can choose in the installer.

Not really possible I think given the coding limitations of the engine.
Besides, all the houses in Sirius came from the Alliance and their official language was English, that is why everyone speaks English in Freelancer I figure.

in RL, shipping and airplanes all talk to each other in english, makes sense that they would do the same when we get commercial space activity,
but a bit more variety would be nice in the voices, perhaps with some less 'libertonian' accents
