The CB/Torpedo loadouts - sindroms - 01-16-2014 They are broken. ![]() Let me get one thing straight, I utterly suck in a VHF. I never could beat anyone in one. I usually flew bombers, where instakilling with a SN is possible, or GBs after the turret zoom implementation. This? This is the noobtube of Disco. This is the Rocket Launcher of UT2004. I should not be able to do this. Trying to explain in detail how this is bad is useless. Let us do it differently: Everyone go and get ships like these. The more people will start using them, the quicker this will be fixed. EDIT: To clarify: Tomtom is a LN avanger with all debs, CB and Starkiller Vlad is the recycler with a rog ID in the video. The video footage is from conn. The logs are from out of conn. (EDIT3: Oh, Vigil is from Conn.) In other words, bots and bats or not, the loadout is broken. First I doubt that any other SHF can mount 2 fighter torps, if I am not wrong the ship cannot fire snac due to core limitation but gets more variety in slots as trade off. It is your opponents fault to fight in favorable for you conditions and die like that actually. Also the opponents are not shield running and go for damaging you instead of slowly waiting till you get out of ammo and kill you. Also if we add patience, nanobots sharing, dodging and group fights in the real PvP in server you would better take some normal VHF without torp. The other factor is Laaagg, something that you does not have much as it seems, in the real conditions in real fights there is a lot of it so missiles and torps does not track that way. Again, just make a ship with a CB/Starkiller. Everyone go and make one. Let's see if this will be ignored or nerfed, when everyone starts using it. There is a certain player on this server that enjoys spamming the hell out of them, successfully killing VHFs, Bombers etc and don't say "you just suck", some of the people dieing to them are highly experienced PvPers. The only time I've seen this guy die was from missile spam. Chainfire spamming cruiser missiles is just lame. The particular BC you're talking about is a one-trick pony, and is mostly useless once you run him out of ammo. Believe me when I say that any "experienced PvPer" dying to cruiser missiles - staggered or not - in a snub is either having an off day or just didn't pay attention. That said, it's still annoying as hell to deal with. On topic: how well does this work with one Starkiller instead of two on that Recycler? Is it just as bad? It's irked me the last 2 days since I was mauled by this thing and until tonight didn't realize it was one of Spazzy's social experiments.... I should have figured. From being a veteran missile-whore and being wasted so quickly because of several accounts of failure on my part, I can tell you now that that setup you have is way too effective. I'm going to try it, and play you at your own game next time and see if it is the ship/loadout combo or if you've struck it lucky with your loveboat.
