Remove Planet Hartford From Conn! - Lythrilux - 02-16-2014 Seriously, that planet is a huge annoyance. It just gets in the way and serve no other purpose aside from being eye candy. It also contributes to irritating screen lags for some, which is also a frustration. If people want to suicide, they can just use the minefields. RE: Remove Planet Hartford From Conn! - t0l - 02-16-2014 Remove the minefields first, they really serve no purpose other than to reduce the size of the playing fields. If you want to suicide, use the planet. RE: Remove Planet Hartford From Conn! - nOmnomnOm - 02-16-2014 Don't remove anything and let me suicide in style! But really the mines serve as a divider. Its there for a reason RE: Remove Planet Hartford From Conn! - aakopa - 02-16-2014 Keep planet, it looks cool! This. The Planet is useful as a quick way to respawn. The minefields are not. If anything, a few asteroid fields of different types would be more useful, for asteroid field combat training. Edit: On a related note, the most pointless feature of conn is undoubtedly the turrets on New Haven. Why the hell does it have turrets? All they do is interfere with combat at the worst times and cause lag. Every bit of it. I vote Karst for Keeper of the Conn! The minefields are there to create separation between playing arenas. Snub-PvPing, Cap-PvPing etc, so no, don't remove them. As for the planet - either remove, or move it further. I nearly ram that thing every time I undock something big. In a longer-distance fight they can be a real nuisance. Quote:As for the planet - either remove, or move it further. I nearly ram that thing every time I undock something big. Better solution: Remove the undock point to the rear. The planet should be close, so you can suicide into it quickly. RE: Remove Planet Hartford From Conn! - QuinnZai - 02-16-2014 Keep the planet, maybe just move it a little bit. Remove minefields. Make the Jumpholes move you deeper into the system, with their own station as before, that's good enough for separation. Add asteroid fields in Conn, I would love to practice in them. Remove the turrets from New Haven. Or just fix the server lag issues and I won't care. It can be moved further though. Quote:Better solution: Remove the undock point to the rear. The planet should be close, so you can suicide into it quickly. There is one in the rear already. Hence why I sometimes nearly die qq. |
