TO: Captain of the ZD|Interstellar CC: CoF, OSI, TAZ, CW. Phoenix - Aazalot - 02-18-2014 Dear Captain Of the Interstellar You recently contacted OSI for a Survey Module. As you didnt leave a name i am having to refer to you by your given title. Its not normally in my nature to contact potential customers personally, however, the board have raised a few concerns, and as Director of Security it is up to me to investigate in case their concerns are warrented. Now, none of the Confederation of Freeports, the Commonwealth, Phoenix, the Temporary Autonomous Zoners, or Omicron Supply Industries are aware of a group called "Zoner Defense". Which is quite troublesome, as everything labeled “Zoner”, aside from one or two independent Freeports, that is, belongs to, or is part of, one of the previously mentioned groups. This isnt to say that other groups of Zoners dont exsist, however, there have been many attempts at a Zoner Defense Force, or Fleet or a group, all of which have ended in failure. So much so in fact that recent attempts at such a fleet gained no backing from any of the other Zoner groups. This even included the use of the force. Im not trying to deter you from you obviously honourable goal, but this is something we have all seen fail. and in some cases, something we have all seen to cause us Pain and strife. Even when the Intentions are good ones. As i said, i initially contacted you due to your OSI Order, we as a business wont denie such a request but i ask that you send me some more details about your Organisation, including your name since we need a name in order to send the Bill. Greetings sir, Voncloud (OSI Director of Security) It seems i forgot to mention my name, mistake on my part here Captain Sandrio Frago current Captain of the Aquilion Carrier ZD | Interstellar It's sad to hear that our presence it not noted over the last few weeks, seeing we provided some additional defenses to the Freeport 1 area . We are a small group of indepentend captains that bounded together to keep us Zoners and our stations safe in these times of danger with open threats to our bases by pirates and strange paramilitary groups. Our ships are privatly funded by different Zoner compagnies, with the main interest of keeping our transport ships and stations safe. We have no interest in provoking other groups in Sirius aslong they keep a relative peace-understanding with us Zoners in general. Phoenix - Aazalot - 02-19-2014 Captain Frago is it? Very well. Sad or not, none of my contacts within the main Zoner groups have seen or heard of your ships. Which as i said before can be a concern. Ill be blunt here. Alot of us have seen attempts at a Zoner Defense force of some sort. Do you see any of them now?. no. You have to ask yourself why is that. ill tell you. Zoners as a whole, relie on our standing with both sides of the law, yet is may lead to possble piratings, or disagreements with houses. But generally we managed to maintain our Balance and stature. A Calm pond, if you will. Now, imagine, lets say, the corsairs decide to pirate near Freeport 1, a stone being thrown into our Calm pond. Our way, is to ignore the initial stone throw, and deal with the spalshs of water. Now lets put in the idea of your Defense force, capitol ships i presume will be your course of action, as all Zoner Defence forces have relied on them. You charge in, to set up defenses and what are you doing? Your mearly throwing a boulder after the stone. Although you will tag yourselves as Zoner Defence, you still represent the Zoners, Any and all actions you take, will ripple through the entirery of our people, like the boulder in the pond. There will be repurcussions as there have been in the past. Now i dont suspect you are lieing about you haveing the backing from Zoner "companys" But rest assured i know full well your not getting funding from the back Bone of the Zoner people. I commend that you and a few other independent captains have decided to take up the helm to defend Zoner stations, but this isnt a wise course of action. We have seen it time and again, including the recent incarnation of the Zoner Alliance, which despite having almost nothing to do with the rest of us, cause all of us issues. I trust you are aware that if you proceed with this albiet noble plan, that you will find it difficult if not inpossble to gain support from any of the major Zoner groups or the houses. If you wish to join an exsisitng infrastructure, i suggest you go through the usual Recruitment channels that we all each have. Regards J Voncloud
