Good Evening Sir or Ma'am,

Recent changes in the political environment in Sirius have prompted Orbital Spa and Cruise to reevaluate the security of our operations, both passenger transport and conventional cargo. The same degree of isolation that provides our passengers with an experience unmatched in the colonies also comes with a similarly unmatched degree of risk. The locations we visit are often remote, and just as often dangerous. While our liners were once capable of defending themselves from any foreseeable attack, the evolution of weapons - and their continual trickle into hands that point them at our passengers - means that the Enterprise class no longer offers the protection it once did.

Consequently, we're investigating the possibility of expanding our Security Division with the addition of two Defiant class gunboats to ensure the security of our convoys in the distant, dangerous corners of Sirius. The Defiant class provides a level of independence unmatched by the civilian-grade Condor, lessening the strain placed on passenger vessels by the need to support their escorts. Further, it's my understanding that the Defiant's components are better suited to travel through the unusual environment we can run across in the Edge Worlds then the lane-bred systems of the Condor.

We're only in the early stages of the process, but I'd like to enquire as to Bretonia's attitude toward such a ship operating alongside our convoys travelling within Crown space, and any administrative hurdles we would need to jump to facilitate it. I'd like to restate that the ship will be crewed by OS&C security personnel and operate under the direction of the appropriate convoy leader and, of course, the applicable local authorities. Any military systems left in the hull will be limited to those required to operate the craft.

Thank you for your time.

Tyler out.

"Greetings, Miss Tyler. I am Admiral George Richard Hall, in service of Her Majesty.
You might be pleased to hear that Bretonia has no problem with that. We'd have to register the Defiants if they were capital ships, but being gunboats, with that made by our Libertonian allies, that is not necessary.
Safe journey!"

Admiral Hall,

I appreciate the quick response, as well as your message itself. I'm glad to hear that that the ships won't pose a difficulty, and I'll be highlighting that in my proposal to the board later on. With any luck, you'll be seeing us in Bretonia before too long.

Tyler out.
