Attention DW pilots!.......Our technicians have set up a new comm channel. It appears that the Solarian code was cracked and our old comm channel was no longer secure. New encryption is being developed.
All contacts to Command restricted to this channel and the passing of coded messages to a certain bartender...you know who;)

DarkWing message dump - Crunch - 08-16-2008

Crunch walks into bar at Rostock, See's Suzanna in corner booth with a couple Hunters. Crunch goes over and say,s Hi, gets a Liberty Ale. Tells Suzanna we must talk in private. They find a quite table. Ok I investigated security leak. Appears even worse than expected, Solarian code has deffinatly been broke, files have been stolen or erased. Suzanna asks who! Not sure, but although some recent patrol logs are missing most the missing documents mearly had historical documentation, old stuff. I have removed all from mainframe and is being redecrypted adding more fire walls also. This should stop leak.

Suzzana asks who would want historical doccuments, what use is this.
Well have thought on that, Historical documents are mainly used to write history, or prove something.
Suzzanna ****s back in her seat looks a little scared say's OH!
I have no proof workin on it.

DarkWing message dump - Raekur - 08-19-2008

Development and deployment of a new code structure and new equipment have arrived from the Drakni engineers at Dark Colony. The method of transmission has been changed to a new type of transport media and all DW vessels will be refitted with the equipment once they arrive at Capetown Station. The standard RF frequency equipment will remain on the ships to allow communication with other vessels using this technology. All internal research and development systems have been converted to the new format and are operational at this time. Transmission distance to the research facility is limited to the Omega-56 system until repeater units can be deployed to the surrounding systems. This deployment is scheduled to occur over the next several months once a secure location in each system can be located.

Crunch is In the corner of bar at Rostock with a rowdy bunch of Hunters. Suzanna walks into bar, and comes over. Rowdy crowd greets her, mostly all friendly faces. Right away someone yell's hey boss is here round of Corsair Tequila for all. Of course that led to many. Eventually Suzanna works her way to Crunch, Looks at him well our little mission. Workin on it Crunch says.
Suzanna: workin hard I see, it has been days.
Well had to get some leeds can't just fly around in space lookin for a ship. Seems his Ship jumped into a fight involving DW-Garth about three weeks ago in O delta killed a Osirus chasing him then left not ansering Garths hails, and leaving him fighting fighters. Yup killed BS didn't help with fighters then dissappeard again, Refusing to anser hails.
Suzanna: Sure it was him.
Garth told me Scanned as a DW-BH Battle Cruiser came in kicked butt disapeared just as quickly, said he was in a little deep. He said it had to be my dad.

Then escort him to O56 back threw such a mess. Not to mention talking him into coming as asked.

Busy last few days, what with the problem concerning Crunch's father to consider and quite a lot of unrest around sirius...
Crunch and I answered a request for assistance, some Xenos were running wild.
Pleased to report they were all killed except one who fled the area.

Was just about to go to the bar for a well earned tequilla when I received a call from some pilots in California who were being bothered by a certain LR. Anthony Crowely They offered a bounty. He ran when approached, twice in fact I chased him away. The pilots were able to go about their business unmollested. and were appreciative of the help.

Late last night we set off to locate Capn Crunch Sr.
As we headed towards his last known location, we were attacked by those Nomad aliens and I suddenly found myself nose to nose with an enormous Nomad Battleship.

We fought and witnessed its spectacular demise when it exploded....

The rest of the journey was uneventful, no hostiles encountered.
Eventually we arrived in Omicron Iota and sent out a call....

So pleased to report the mission was successful, we brought Cpn Crunch Sr back with us, not too sure about his state of mind.....he is currently being debriefed....

We have seen Wild activity expand from being only 2-5 Wild fighters near the New Berlin jump hole to as many as four scorpion gunboats with twelve accompanying wrath fighters. One of our own gunboats was destroyed in a single pass by a Wild formation--and that while at full hulls and shields. The vessel "Prometheus" and all [ALC] tagged ships will be treated as hostile by us and we will reasonably coordinate with local Rheinland authorities should they attack. We have limited resources but are concentrating to defend Yanagi. It seems that there is a compromised Rhienland Battleship roaming around New Berlin and Sigma-13.
Transponder reported to be [ALC]Prometheus. Outfitted with Nomad Turrets is the only information available at this time. The primary issue of this situation was not that it was a junker reporting it to Rheinland but his attitude about us in regards to it. For a group that preaches that they want to maintain neutrality they seem to have missed the class on diplomacy that neutrality is not accomplished by tossing off handed insults.
At this time I would not advise a change in our policy towards them but I would advise that they be viewed as possible hostiles. They harbor our enemies but maintain that they do not have a choice. I refuse to believe that since the main building capacity of the Harvesters is now located within the Junkers Guard system. Frankly, I think the junkers have been lying through their teeth since the beginning. I would request that some resources be allocated to determine exactly if the Junkers are pawns or 2 faced criminals. Also take into account that we have been directly lied to by members of the junker congress in the past.

Received a report from Apache while on patrol of the New York system.
There is a new Harvester unit.

Designation: Asmodai
IFF: Junker
Class: Talarca Light Cruiser
Weapons: Hessian and Nomad mixture

The Apache inquired as to its presence being permitted by Liberty Forces and was informed to "Not start anything". This vessel was being escorted by the Harvester Diplomat H_VotM.

A Bounty Hunter Cruiser desigation Death.One was requested to aid in the retrieval of the captives.
Death.One requested the release of the captives and the Asmodai refused.
H_VotM opened fire as well at Death.One and was destroyed by Apache.
Death.One was destroyed as well as the Asmodai.
The pilots were recovered and taken to Norfolk for medical attention and examination for any possible nomad infection.

An increase in pirate activity and bounties has seen DWs quite busy recently......congrats DWs we have been largely successful in dealing with the pirate menace!

Recomendation to DarkWing High Command.

Had a short discussion with LN-Phelps. He specifically stated that no DarkWing capital class vessels are permitted in the New York system. He refused to provide a reason for this action.
Due to the position that the Liberty Navy has chosen it is advised that no DarkWing personel enter the New York system unless to obtain equipment or in pursuit of a hostile. Diplomacy with Liberty Navy should be moved to Neutral status. Aid should be provided to LSF and LPI personell ONLY if specifically requested.
The only exception to this is if Gafwmn asks for assistance, but do not expect that to happen often.

In addition, no attempts should be made to fulfill the cardamine interdiction contract. The payment amount is not enough to cover the expense incurred to cover ammunition and H-Fuel.
