Nomad ID - Cælumaresh - 03-19-2014

Seeing as Nomads are only allowed into the Omicrons (Exeption: Trial ID and Khara) i propose the following:

Nomad ID:

Pilot carrying this ID is a nomad who:

- Can only attack in self defense when outside of the Omicrons
- Can freely engage ships in the Omicrons, exept for Alpha and Gamma
- Cannot demand Credits or Cargo
- Can only land on Nomad and Wild bases

Allowed Ships:

Nomad fighters, Nomad Bomber, Nomad Gunboat

Not that i hold high hopes this will happen though, but its worth a try.

No, lore-wise it wouldn't make sense to have many nomads outside of the Omicrons (right now). The indie ID is perfect as it is.

Also, the K'Hara recruitment is open anways:

Indies can fly outside of the Omicrons with K'Hara or am I wrong?

Indie Noms can only leave the Omicrons on Trial ID

RE: Nomad ID - Remnant - 03-19-2014

Join the Slomon K'Hara, get the Trail ID, or deal with it.

Indie ID outside the Nomicrons would only be used for the purposes of larger ships finding excuses to 'defend' themselves. The Morph is perfect if you want the oppertunity for other things.

Like Narcotic said, the K'hara recruitment has always been open for a while now. If you are confident you want out for the right reasons, the recruitment system will be the judge of that.

The Pirate ID also can only attack in self defense. See the problem?

Yes, i see...

RE: Nomad ID - sindroms - 03-19-2014

You know what else was allowed to attack in self defense?

People moving to Connecticut back in 84.

I will let older people tell you how many times we ended up having to shoot Legates and Zoner battleships, who were moving to Conn.

RE: Nomad ID - Binski - 03-19-2014

Suddenly Nomads would be everywhere in Sirius, and basically wind up a Nomad invasion, and the 'self defense' clause would not stop random aggression. Not to mention the problems that would arise from any indie getting an infinite cloak ship they can use anywhere ship scouting and oorp spying. The khara are bad enough to worry about inrp. You'd have the Order spending more time outside of their territory than in.

And as Narcotic said 'not yet', because its likely that in the future a Nomad invasion is on the way. This is a can of beans not yet ready to be opened.

The bigger problem were Rheinland battleships and other affiliated caps claiming 'they were just going to Conn' to get out of trouble.
