A Problem With [LN]-Stephanie.Malagin - HunterZero - 08-17-2008
Ok, i was sitting in my gunboat just relaxing reading something when i was more forcused on my other computer, reeading something that i liked which was modding ships and what not. I grabbed the wrong mouse and i right clicked, and when i did i accidently miss fired and shot an NPC. Now i continued to just ignore it then i get stephanie come over to me and try to bully me around saying "Leave liberty" but i tried to tell her it was an accident and i looked over the rules and it DID NOT say anything about the NPC's so i believe i was treated un fairly, and this happend to me before. I looked those fracking rules over and it didnt say anything about just ignoreing the NPC's you know, im tired of how far people are taking this RP stuff.. Yea i know its an RP server, but i was OORP at the time, then i get her coming over to me and bossing me around. I told her no, and that it was an accidental miss fire, and she CONTINUED to push the issue. Now i don't think thats real maturety on her part,
i turned around and proceded to go back to my docking point on trenten, and when i did. she light me up, that gave me EVERY RIGHT to turn around anmd fire back at her even though i was in my gunboat and i didnt have strong enough weapons to fight her in her gunboat or battle ship or what ever the heck she was in. Now, she killed me once and i just shruged it off and i warned her that if she did it again she i would report her AND fight back. And what dose she do THE SAME FRACKING THING!
Now im not going to stand for that kind of "RP-Police" Abuse, there needs to be something done about that. Because i was minding my own business and just ignoreing the shooting NPC's knowing that when i go to bed ill log off and things will go back to normal, i strongly suggest this gets looked in too. And as for being in NY, im going to stay there because i DID nothing wrong, i know the strengths of the laser can set off an NPC so they swarm you. But i wasnt intentionally doing it, which brings me to another thing...
When i DID comply to leave NY system, she proceeded to fallow me. Now i understand that she was doing her job, but i was ticked off and was pretty much ready to start firing. I ask her to leave me alone and let me leave by my self, and does she listen NO.. No something needs to be done here because i feel i was miss treated in the matter and i get some LN women trying to push me around, im not going to have that and if i have to i can continue to push the issue...

I'm sure that you must have been doing something else to get the LN to shoot you. I'm not going to get involved in an argument, but I know that person, and I know the LN.
They wouldn't open fire without a good reason.
And they also have every right to order you to leave Liberty.
If they did open fire on you without a good reason, I advise you message an Admin about it, not go for trial by forum, as you may find it backfires.

i dont see why mercs are banned there. I didnt do anything to get them banned, and the reason WHY she fired on me, was because i wouldnt leave. I wasnt going to let her make me leave for something i DID NOT mean to do, thats just bull.
And no, i wasnt doing anything else to give her reason to shoot me.

Steph is one of the precious few Liberty lawfuls whose RP and fighting abilities I respect. Going by both sides of the story, you should have just taken the hit and left. Bone up on the rules before you make broad sweeping claims disparaging a respected member of the community.
I wasn't there, but I've dealt with her as both an allied lawful and as someone on the end of her guns. Benefit of the doubt applies because.
Also, if you get angry enough that you're going to break RP and cross an irreversible line such as outright hostile action, just log off and go to bed.

Why, and prove the point that things like this leads to RP-Police abuse? no, im not going to. Ill fight this matter, and as for all mercs being banned i see many mercs in the area. And they dont cause no trouble, and why dont YOU read the rules again, i read those over and over to make sure things are clear.
And i was minding me own business before she came over and started trouble. trying to push me around, if i have too, ill take it up with an admin.. i will, because that was being totally un fair.

Hm... the way to explain this.
In this game, there are 2 sets of rules.
Server rules, and RP rules, and they all have consequences.
This isn't a server rule, it's an RP rule.
You don't get banned for not RPing with it, or refusing, you just face the consequences.
As for the other mercs, I do ask them to leave, you won't believe how many times I go to private to avoid the screams of Liberty Fascists

Mate, stop making yourself look daft, I'll give you a couple of reasons as to why you're doing this.
First: ( Yea i know its an RP server, but i was OORP at the time, then i get her coming over to me and bossing me around. ) Just because you stop being in RP, does not mean the rest of the server will consider you invisible, if you're tired of RP and want to get a break, go offline.
Second: People generally need to read the RP rules of the space they come to, for example as Trinity said, mercs are banned in NY, for whatever reasons they are, they are stated in Liberty's laws or in the message dump, so this RP server is also governed by those RP rules in their appropriate systems.
Third: If a member of an official faction, acts in RP, orders you to do something, like leave system, then you do not proceed and dock IN the system, but you are supposed to obey what you were told and leave unless you want to get killed, or worse being put on a kill on sight list.
That's all I have to say, it may be unfair, frankly I do not care. It's how it goes and you should act accordingly.

Um... Proof of this? A link? I fly a Merc, and this would be nice to know. As far as I can tell, Mercenaries are NOT banned from Liberty and haven't been in a very long time.
