The shrine is a mysterious base located in a section of space outside of Sirius. Yet its construction is suited and able to shield those who visit from the Hyper amount of cosmic radiation its speculated that the area is somewhere near the galactic core.
The core has strange effects on those with telepathy. Extending the tendrils of consciousness those sensitive enough and proficient in the mental and spiritual arts.
For all its history the shrine has never been a place of violence why it does what it does is more of the function of the heart then a brain.
It is here that Thomas Aquinas spends his time in meditation. His time drifting along the many cords of light that extend outward in from the shrine while engaged in body-less perception. Nomads have a unique function, as it is their biology that the essence exists within this "world" of energy and light and then "dream" of our conscious reality in a form, from fighter sized la braids to giant Marduk's.
Humans rarely see or are shown this world, but all minds unite to it. Without going much further and infringing upon dogma, its a simple agreement of wills that permits unions and meetings of minds here.
Three Winds found a tether that reached through the spaces of familiar minds. So he created a space, much like the shrine and invited Ansel to join him there.
If he was more or less approving he would simply appear there... The odd thing is this is not a dream world.. it can feel and be more real then our senses can "feel" it because simply our mundane bodily senses aren't used to join it.
Its warm and comfortable.. the observation deck usually occupied with seekers and Oracle counselors was empty. nothing but the view of the outside. Thomas Looked as he was the reptilian features but the humanoid face remaining. As it was too easy to "lie" about ones self image here.
