I am happy to inform you that thanks to additional funding we were able to successfully port the premise behind our new line of fighter guns to a working prototype of an assault rifle - Enforcer III. This tachyon-based personal weapon allows very precise fire on long range. Thanks to four cooling compressors and a strong power generator we were able to significantly lower rifle's recharge time and effectiveness in combat environment.

I have a feeling there has been a little misunderstanding here. Enforcer III is an assault rifle, capable of selective fire and most effective up to 450 yards. For reference, a typical laser-based assault rife used by our marines has a nominal effective range of 350 yards due to limitations of beam lenses' effectiveness. However, even with its longer effective range and optional targeting systems Enforcer III is not a sniper rifle. In comparison to a typical laser-based assault rifle it delivers more damage more precisely at the cost of slightly shorter bursts and a bit higher heat generation. As an assault rifle Enforcer III allows semi-automatic and two different burst fire modes. In rapid and standard burst modes it shoots either 8 or 4 beams in one second salvo. While it is not a flak-type weapon useful while storming a hostile ship or performing close quarters combat, I cannot imagine a situation when a marine detachment is composed of less than half soldiers equipped with assault rifles. While flak weapons are effective in close quarters combat, they are useless during hostage situations, when storming a ship with civilians on-board or in any larger compartment. However, I am not a combat tactics specialist.
I have a feeling that there has been also a misunderstanding concerning the stage in which Enforcer III project currently is. Detroit Munitions has its own firing ranges where both our standard and prototype arms are being tested. Additionally, as you can imagine, due to increased activity of terrorist organizations such as the Lane Hackers, as well as considering the fact that Ageira Technologies is working on numerous top secret projects, we are forced to keep a strong Security Division, which is recruited mostly from ex-military veterans. We have already performed and completed general effectiveness, stress and reliability tests. Enforcer III is ready for field combat trials, this I can assure you.
I understand that you wish for a demonstration. I will dispatch a shuttle from Detroit Munitions with 6 Enforcer III prototypes and a team of our weapon specialists to Manhattan.
I sincerely hope that you will be pleased with the results and we will be able to come to a mutually satisfactory agreement. Should you find any obstacles to such an outcome, please let me know and I will do whatever in my power to remove them.

Surely you recall our efforts to market the prototype Enforcer III rifle to the Navy earlier this year, which ended up being shot down by Captain Hartman. After extensive testing onboard Detroit Munitions and in simulated field tests, we present our revised edition of the prototype Enforcer III rifle: the E3A1.
Now, Admiral, I know what you're thinking. That looks strikingly identical to the original model, doesn't it? Well, I'm a firm believer of the principle that you shouldn't fix what isn't broken, and quite frankly there was little wrong with the ergonomics. Sleek and elegant curves, measuring in at only 27.2 inches for maximum mobility, rubber coated grips for shooter comfort, sling mounts, and an extensive modular rail system to put as many attachments on as you could dream of.
Of course, just because there's nothing wrong with it doesn't mean that we couldn't make it better, so we've taken the liberty of adding an integral holographic red dot sight for fast target acquisition, a tac light/laser combo in place of the flashlight, and a retractable stock plate for additional comfort.
Internally, much has changed. Last year's XT-55 tachyon capacitor, used in the prototype Enforcer III variant, was superb in all means except for heat efficiency. In recent weeks, our wonderful R&D department has hammered out a brand new model, the XT-56. This model capacitor has greatly improved on the 55 in all ways. We've replaced the aging XT-55 with a specialized XT-56 variant, known as the Type 3, to work in tandem with the formerly independant United Engineering's innovative new hexagonal pattern double stacked heat sinks for a greatly upsized heat threshold of roughly 50 shots in 72 degree Fahrenheit temperatures, a hefty increase from the Enforcer III — and many other standard issue rifles — with it's 35 shot threshold.
The automatic rate of fire is largely the same to it's predecessor, a staggering 800 rounds per minute. Combined with the full stopping power of a traditional rifle stuffed into a 27.2 inch long package, there are few competitors when the E3A1 comes rolling about.
For when we need boots on the ground instead of on a ship, the E3A1 can still reliably strike targets at up to 750 meters. Three different firing modes, automatic, semi, and 5 round burst, round out it's main features.
If you're interested, I can arrange a set of test weapons to be shipped to a naval station of your choice, access permissions restricting of course. A full readout of the E3A1's capabilities is available should you need it, however I think this transmission just about covers it.

While I have not had sufficient time to look over the entire stock of our marine infantry rifle complement, I am aware that technological breakthroughs are constantly outdating our tech, and it would be quite the shame if our fine marines were left with outdated rifles against an enemy as fierce as Gallia.
Since I am to be visiting West Point Military Academy soon, I would like to offer Ageira Innovations to bring a shipment of these weapons to West Point. I've heard the 38th Training Group is currently undergoing marksmanship training, and perhaps a true show of your weapon would be its effectiveness when used by an inexperienced soldier. Should your demonstration prove adequate, we can proceed with the ordering and delivery protocols from there. Should any modifications need to be made, I will make them aware to you during or immediately after said demonstration.

Just a short clarification from my side. Mr Joesph Petrie has taken over the Enforcer project and he will negotiate purchase with you or any of your representatives - naturally if you are interested.
As for modification of the Archer class cruiser design, me and my colleges have discussed this project briefly and decided to join it. We also think that you are a bit confused about the nature of this modification, which is obviously understandable as it's beyond your field of expertise. As much as we would like to - we are not really able to invent new technologies just for this project. Overall scientific and technological progress is something that we contribute to but have no control of. What we can do is to utilize existing technologies to further optimize this vessel, which may include among others redesign of the internal structure of the cruiser, replacement of the power generator and finally construction of a new main gun. I just wish to inform you that Mr Daniel Brock will be in charge of this project on our side.

Naturally, as the Archer-class is over 20 years in antiquity at this point, many technological breakthroughs (both small and large) have sprung up over the last few years and we would like to see those incorporated into the new hull. While the effect may be marginal, in war even the little things are important.
As for the Enforcer III, I've already outlined what the Logistics Corps would like to see from Mr. Petrie and his department, and hopefully he can deliver. We are naturally interested in the product, as Ageira has and will continue to deliver quality products, so we hope for a good showing.
