To: IMG, Tau-23 sector - Backo - 04-06-2014 <//Incoming Transmission... >Comm ID: Renee Thorpe >Location: Planet Los Angeles, California Good day, Miner's Guild representatives, Roughly a week ago I was hired by your pilots in an engagement between their security force and the Junker Marauders. During the process of bidding for my loyalty in the fight the IMG managed to make a better offer than the competition - 10 million credits, a beautiful woman or women and possibly future jobs. I found said offer to my linking and joined their side in the conflict. Now you see, I received the credits, I don't really care at this very moment for the future jobs, but the part about the beautiful woman or women needs me to address something - in case you do decide to ship me said woman or women (I'm really not certain if your pilot spoke in plural or not) gifted with the quality of being beautiful I would very much like to have said goods shipped to SirLagsalot instead, as per mutual agreement between us two. It would also hope they will be in one piece and breathing, oh and as promised - beautiful. I'm attaching the ship audio log below as proof of said contract being stated by your pilot IMG|Hornet and accepted by me. **** TO: Renee Thorpe **** Dear Ms. Renee Thorpe, My name is Jack Henderson, I am running the Operations Department of the Independent Miners Guild.
Your name has popped up in a series of incidents, and the Guild - represented by myself - has a certain interest that you should listen to. I assume it is worth it, if I have the right impression of you. Our data shows doubtlessly that you are an enemy of the Outcast. There is a report that shows you attacking a transport with Cardamine in Tau 23 alongside IMG Defense. There are numerous other engagements with Outcasts that were documented for the Taus. However, you also attacked Ms. Huntington's bomber in Kusari, and her Sabre in Tau 37, or she attacked you. It doesn't matter for this case. From the voice logs, this was something personal to get something in return from someone who may remain unknown. What counts is: deduction shows it was not the Outcast that hired you. A few days ago, you let yourself be paid by the IMG to fight alongside our forces, when the Junkers' offer was not that bad. I assume that the IMG's offer of "forgiveness" plus good payment was more alluring than to move yourself back towards the Outcast and Junker club. For the record, if you or Mr. "Lagsalot" is interested in women, he is invited to come to any IMG base and try his luck in bars, casinos. He can get them "the old way", but I'll of course name a few places he could start looking at for him, if that is really a point of interest. But back to seriousness. Judging from what I have in front of me, I assume we should talk. You seem to still have an interest in working with the IMG, or at least not an interest to be an enemy of the IMG. I guess the truth might be somewhere in between. I'll be blunt, as for the interest of the Guild: We do not need more enemies. We could do with skilled hired guns on our side, though. I assume it would be best if you contacted me and let me know where you stand, where you want to get in the future, what role the IMG can play, and how you think you can get there, preferrably together with the IMG. I have some ideas that might be worth discussing, in case my idea of what you want and who you are haven't been totally flawed. Until then, you better stay clear of IMG Defense forces in remote places. I have placed a "no shoot" order for the moment, but we know that in space no one hears the screams and the Taus can be vast and that things tend to become personal, even though they were not in the start. Avoid dark alleys. There are some pilots in IMG who are not forgiving fast. So, contact me. Let's see what can be done. Jack Henderson IMG Operations RE: To: IMG, Tau-23 sector - Backo - 04-06-2014 <//Incoming Transmission... >Comm ID: Renee Thorpe >Location: Planet Los Angeles, California Mr Henderson, Mr Lagsalot will certainly be disappointed at this turn of events as he certainly looked like a person who really wanted beautiful women. I'll make sure to clear things up with him once I meet him again. Though enough of this silliness. The true reason for this transmission was to see the Guild's disposition towards me outside of the opinion of the selective few pilots I met in space. You are right that my contract against Laura was a single target destruction by a third party. And given said contract is completed I am currently in no interest to be shooting Guild pilots. So I'm interested in hearing what your ideas exactly are. As far as it concerns the Guild I am currently not attached to any contract so it would be easiest to say I stand where my personal interests are, my goal is to keep my reputation of a capable mercenary and the IMG decides where it stands in my future by what it has to offer. I am a person of flexible morals, I don't serve any agendas or any ideals, I simply offer my set of skills to the person I consider as the optimal employer. Optimal can of course be measured by two main scales - risk and reward. Also if you search the neural net a bit you'll also find that I have a clean record of not turning against the people I'm working for. I could give a few hints - Interspace Commerce, Republic of Liberty. So do tell me, Jack, have you judged my character properly? ...Transmission Ended\\>

**** TO: Renee Thorpe **** Dear Ms. Renee Thorpe, I guess my assumptions were close enough. We are still having this conversation. I guess I was right in the three main calls: you are a professional. And you work against the Outcast in the Taus. Furthermore you are not an enemy of the Guild.
So, this is the offer: I sneak you access to the IMG Bounty Board, the hunter section. You take a look around and tell me whether you like the targets and the price tags. We have quite a bit of dirty work to be done, that's for sure, and I dare say the payment is not bad. Regaining trust is something that might be necessary for the flying boys and girls. They are not used to thinking in larger dimensions. I bet a few assists or kills against our most common enemies - Outcast, Junker Marauders - should be a good way of proving it. Interested? Jack Henderson IMG Operations RE: To: IMG, Tau-23 sector - Backo - 04-07-2014 <//Incoming Transmission... >Comm ID: Renee Thorpe >Location: Barrier Gate Station, Coronado Thank you for the quick reply, Jack. We can skip the pleasantries, right? Anyways I had a bit of a different idea in mind. You see the whole "accident" with Laura caused her fiancee to get pretty angry at me. So currently I'm flying with 8 million on my head, so how about instead of draining the Guild's bank accounts I lower the bounty on my head by a million with each Outcast ship I destroy for you? Sounds fair? Afterwards we could consider a different kind of reward, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'll be awaiting your confirmation if you agree upon my terms. ...Transmission Ended\\>
RE: To: IMG, Tau-23 sector - Backo - 04-12-2014 <//Incoming Transmission... >Comm ID: Renee Thorpe >Location: Freeport 10, Tau-37 Seems convincing her fiancee to agree to this deal has turned out to be difficult. That or you've completely missed my transmission. Either way I could offer a suggestion for a different reward as well - you see I need certain hardware that I used to own quite a while back. Nothing serious, just a few guns. I'm just dropping this as another suggestion. Deciding what's it going to be is all on your call, I'm okay with both. Even at the same time. But I doubt the Guild is that desperate for my services. ...Transmission Ended\\>

**** TO: Renee Thorpe **** Dear Ms. Renee Thorpe, Yes, you are right, Miss Thorpe. It was not easy to convince Mr. Gyrlas of the idea. I am not entirely sure whether I managed completely and I cannot guarantee at which rate the bounty will drop. It's pretty much out of my hands, but we had a discussion about it and I am at least sure that I could explain the IMG's stance.
Consequently, as he is a clever businessman, he will understand the idea that you are an asset for the IMG, even though he might not like you for personal reasons. I suggest, you start taking out some Outcast and other targets for the IMG and I will make sure to remind Mr. Gyrlas of the bigger picture. So, I would say, we have a deal, even though I am not 100 % sure how well it will work. It is - however - the best thing I can think of at the moment. So we might as well just give it a try. Jack Henderson IMG Operations RE: To: IMG, Tau-23 sector - Backo - 04-21-2014 <//Incoming Transmission... >Comm ID: Renee Thorpe >Location: Bonn Station, New Berlin Evening, It seems most of your miners have gone elsewhere, Jack, and with that the outcast activity has decreased drastically. The only individual who I managed to find was an unlucky fighter pilot who I found in Tau-37 and chased to Omicron-80. As much as I want to get the whole bounty business done with, because believe me it has caused me more than a few annoyances lately, things are looking pretty bad in the Tau sectors. Hopefully things will get back to "normal" soon enough. But in the mean time if you have any other alternative targets you need taking care of - do tell. I've also uploaded the guncams regarding the unlucky individual I mentioned above. [>Scan<] - [>Kill<] ...Transmission Ended\\>

**** TO: Renee Thorpe **** Dear Ms. Renee Thorpe, The ion storms have passed and we are resuming Tau-side activity again. The flight restrictions have been lifted. With miners out there, I expect the Outcast and other enemies of the Guild to realize the change soon.
However, I would say: add every target listed in the IMG Bounty Board and fire at will. There should be a few. Every kill counts, as long as it fits the IMG Bounty Board restrictions. You know how things are. I might have something for you, but this has to be discussed on much more secure channels. Please contact me on Sky-P3 protocols, in case you are interested in shortening this "transition period". Jack Henderson IMG Operations |
