Officers of Her Majesty's Police force,

I have a small problem to bring to your attention.

You should be aware of the Republican Shipping group using the frequencies "RS|". I have two run ins today, one with one of their own, and another with their scanning ship.

The first incident i came across today was the RTS Berlin and their jump ship "Guardian". Both of which incredibly rude, and had some "trouble" following my orders whilst within Bretonian space. Whilst in New London, i got reports from my officers of the Guardian at Southampton Shipyard and sitting in front of New London. Upon my arrival, i found them ignoring the line of questioning coming from one of our newest Commanders, Miss Heather Pearson. They also seemed to ignore myself at points, not something i am particularly happy about in times of war. So, on count of breaking the terms of a Jump License, namely wandering around the Capital, I made a fine of 6 million credits at the time. The RTS Berlin also decided it was above my orders, deciding to run after told to stop.

Once they had left, the Captain of the Guardian contacted me, asking for entrance to get new scan coordinates. I promptly denied, after the actions and attitude displayed by himself and his accomplice, telling them that if new coordinates where required, they should ask the Armed Forces Admiralty Board, who would have happily scanned using our specialised scanning vessel.

My second problem, is Vendetta. The listed scanning vessel for the RS contractors. Just now, Officer Waldorf Salad was on scene as the Vendetta began scanning. I arrived once they had completed their task, and had unfortunately not updated Constable Salad on the conditions i had put in place on the Guardian's Captain, who Vendetta claimed different to himself. My problem here, is two associates of the RS in one day have broken laws of Bretonia, or in Vendettas case, gone against my explicit orders.

Now, as a civil matter, this does fall to you, but i would like to remind you that in these pressing times, with the front on our doorstep, I do not need unruly capital vessels, and rude merchant Captains, flying through Bretonia, calling on my attention and my officers. I see a simple solution here, but as protectors of the registry, it is your decision. I can only present my problems, and my advice on the matter, and hope you take head of it.

For now though, that is all I have to bring to you. I hope to hear of your solution to this particular problem soon.

In the name of Her Majesty, and her people in the Realm of Bretonia,

Admiral Michelle O'Brian

Admiral Michelle O’Brian,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Having cross referenced the Records, held in the Bretonian Office of Jumpdrive and Hyperspace Scanning Registry, and the Date you sent this communication, it was noticed that Republican Shipping were indeed registered to carry out Jump Trading and Hyperspace Scanning as laid down in the Bretonian Charter of Interstellar Law, Chapter 3, Sub Section 3.14. We have also checked that they were sent a link to the Regulations required for the above procedures.

We are very disturbed that Republican Shipping has failed to make their Captains aware of these Regulations. It has been noted on several occasions that some Rheinland Corporations have difficulty with the following of Bretonian Laws and having respect for Officers of the BAF and BPA. We are not sure if this is a translation problem or if these Corporations have little regard for their own Armed Forces or their Police.

We will be sending the CEO of Republican Ship a communication reiterating the Regulations of these Licences and we will inform them that if they don’t follow these Regulations to the letter, then we will revoke their Licences. We will also inform them that they must obey, explicitly, any and all Lawful Orders given to them by BAF or BPA Officers or, yet again, their Licences will be revoked.

You mention that you imposed a fine of 6 million credits and RTS Berlin decided to run. Was the fine paid or is this still outstanding?

We do hope, that Constable Salad, had taken control, of the situation, and made sure that the Captain of the Vendetta was kept in check at all times?

Hopefully, Admiral, this decision will meet with your approval? Rest assured our Officers will be keeping a wary eye out for this Company and any further breaches of the Regulations and their Licences will be revoked instantly. Please ask your Captains to be vigilant, with respects this Company, and have them report any further breaches to us immediately.

Officer,

A name is always nice, but I suppose in these pressing times, we can for-go the luxury's.

I am glad to hear that this was not a mistake on Bretonias part, as I had suspected, but rather a negligence on the part of the Republican vessels, and by extension, their contractors, Guardian and Vendetta. Your thoughts about their own protectors is a worry I also share, although not something that need concern us currently, only if the current problem escalates.

Your chosen course of action is indeed acceptable. Rest assured, my officers will follow this to the letter, and ensure any misconduct noted on Republicans part is documented for forwarding to yourselves. The mentioned fine of 6 Million Sirius standard credits was payed in full, and may be crossed off the books.

I would like to forward my commendation for Constable Salad. His manner in the situation was exemplary, and the problem of Vendetta was a mistake on my part, due lack of communication, not his. As such, Constable Salad believed himself to be acting within the confines of the law. This mistake will not happen again, and I will ensure I update your officers in future of any temporary measures I put in place.

To conclude, the course of action chosen does meet expectations, and is deemed appropriate by fellow members of the board. Thank you once again for your excellent work in protecting Bretonias borders. We can rely upon you for our safety to be upheld.
