was just wondering what sips the img have that are considered mining ships since it seems if you're ~morning pedant not in a mining ship you cant mine anymore.

I've heard people mention that you can also use the Surveyor and the Scraper, but then you need a transport to to hold the ore.
Also mentioned is that they can be easier to maneuver around in certain fields.
Never tried it, so can't speak from experience.

I'm just mining around the tau-23 fields, though i dont know any transporters that want to sit and mine. plus not many people seem to be on around the times i am so there's no drive for me to mine/rp.

For solo mining, you'll probably want the Hegemon. Thing's the size of a small station though.

IMG can use most ships. but to get mining bonus, you need thefollowing ships:
Hegemon
Arrastra
Annapurna
Surveyor
Civilian freighter sunburst (dunno, but mines helium well)
Annapurna
Nanga Parbat(doubtful)

Arrastra,the best mining ship.
its a kick ass fighter in disguise as a mining ship.
