Mining ship Lazarus - Lucas Stone - 04-21-2014 Ship Name: Lazarus Ship type: DU5-7Y "Hegemon" Civilian Mining Ship Ship Captain: Lou Trene Ship's Crew Complement: Five human's and one middle aged Maintenance Robot Ships Log: Day one Captain's log day one, we received the mining vessel from a ship dealer...i do think we over paid, but to be honest the Lazarus is in good nick. We had to outfit her with some upgrades, armour, shields, engines and pink dice(the pink dice were optional). The crew are fresh out of training they have shown remarkable enthusiasm and zeal. However misplaced it is...i do wonder if i was given the drop out's..not the cream of the crop. As for 'Harry' the Maintenance Robot, im not sure wether it lied to get the job...but it has shown no skill at maintaining the ship or infact any of the onboard system's...but it does make one great cup of char and i have noticed it has a liking for lead paint, though i dont understand why. After the refit, we headed out...afew bangs here and there... we then managed to undock. The rookie pilot 'Hugo' struggled to find the cruise engine...he found the button after sometime marked 'Cruise' slightly concerning. Once Hugo engaged the cruise engine, we made good time to Humboldt. The scans we recieved from the scouts, determined the location of a large deposit of copper ore. We arrived at that location and proceeded to fire the mining laser's, two of the ships crew were working the processor and to be honest our yield wasnt great. Ten hours later we managed to do a ragged cheer, for our first full cargo bay of Copper Ore. I think over time and with practice we can get better at it. After the hold was filled we proceeded back to Thastus Station, we were welcomed back with cheer's...ok i say cheer's more like afew nods and maybe handshakes. The ore we mined was put on the stations trade list, 4000SC. I have been told i'll get a bonus if we keep up the mining. Attached are pics for the day's mining and digi pics taken by Ensign Sophie from outside the vessel's while she was being towed. Day 1 Images ------------------------LOG ENDED------------------------
