WHO is willing to save this mod? - Benz - 05-03-2014 As a result of people leaving Disco and endless debates [like this one here: http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=115021 ] about what to do against "death" I want to check who is still among us to push Freelancer Discovery to "2.0" Tell us your name and what you would like to do in order to create a vision or push this great mod to the next level. If you think Discovery is dying, this is not your chance to say it. This thread is for all the people who share love and passion for Diso and do not want to see it disappear. So... name and mission? (Who are you and what can you do to help) Best regards Benz RE: WHO is willing to save this mod? - Benz - 05-03-2014 Thank you all for your passion and will to fight the inevitable! Missions so far: Name: Benz Mission: Organizing the resistance against the odds Name: |nfrared Mission: Bring new content and hopefully new life to Discovery. [new concept / fresh faction / complete with a small ship line] [#03] Name: Divine Mission: Would participate as "overlord-admin" (ah...thanks for the offer...I guess ) [#09] Name: Acolyte Mission: Progressing with the idea of open dev forums (as a means of acquiring, "a group of "wannabie-devs" to support the actual devs"). Will write the proposal if it gets to that stage. [#13] Name: Vicho Deivis Mission: Would like to write new infocards, give ideas about lore. [[#16] Name: Jack_Henderson Mission: Keeps having fun. Will continue organizing and helping organizing group activity. [#17] Name: Moebus Mission: Clarifies discovery background to propose a new management between factions. Propose guidelines to manage global evolution of discovery history. Identify and implement key elements in the game for a sustainable roleplay. [#24] Name: Swallow Mission: I will keep playing and trying to make RP encounters in southern Omicrons. Could help getting started with ship modelling and exporting, as well as submitting. [#28] Name: Govedo13 Mission: Collects the "wrong-doing", classifies it in different categories. Is looking for total overhaul of the main mod functions listed by priority. [#34] Name: 713.dstryr Mission: Willing to do everything ("I'll do it.") [#43] Name: Snak3 Mission: Is learning to edit systems and work with economy [#45] RE: WHO is willing to save this mod? - |nfrared - 05-03-2014 Name: |nfrared Mission: Bring new content and hopefully new life to Discovery. Myself and some friends have been working on a new concept for quite some time now and our patience is starting to bear fruit. By the time we are done we hope to have an original and fresh faction to bring to the table, complete with a small ship line. We may still be some time away, but the gears are turning nonetheless. RE: WHO is willing to save this mod? - t0l - 05-03-2014 no one go home it's over RE: WHO is willing to save this mod? - Divine - 05-03-2014 Easy solution. Make me the overlord-admin. RE: WHO is willing to save this mod? - SMGSterlin - 05-03-2014 Threads like these don't help anything. If you want Disco to stop dying, then stop saying it's dying and go play the game instead. Make some RP in the forums that seems interesting for others and makes others log in, after some days of it. If you have suggestions, post it in a thread which the admins or devs have started(they apparently havent) or suggest it to them via Skype/PM. The biggest mistake is starting a thread like this, since it will bring in all the negativity on you, and people (some of them) will flame here. Its just getting negativity in the community, wherein your suggestions and ideas can be done well of by speaking to those who are directly responsible for the functioning of this mod. RE: WHO is willing to save this mod? - Benz - 05-03-2014 @Tal, Divine, SMGSterlin: Thanks for the input. Can't really see the mission -exept overloard-admin Is there anything particular you could do instead of commenting (which is always welcome)? RE: WHO is willing to save this mod? - Divine - 05-03-2014 Yea. Not giving up. RE: WHO is willing to save this mod? - Benz - 05-03-2014 (05-03-2014, 11:47 PM)Moriarty. I want fresh blood (like me) to bring up some cool ideas and maybe we can just check them out. It has nothing to do with development and things such as it. If there are cool ideas and here is the sport were people can find out who is with them...so be it. Stops nobody to post their ideas somewhere else. This is not a replacement for other threads in the forum. This is just a think-tank. If you don't like it don't use it... If you think it is a bad idea so be it. But maybe there is still enough fresh blood around and maybe it's better to let us post our ideas instead of stopping it right away... don't you think? |
