Xeno space charges - Tic - 08-22-2008 This is my idea: The "Preagle" is getting replaced in the next mod so i had a though, Why not keep that 3d model and make it a Xeno charge placer, somewhat of a unique terrorist ship. We give it 2 guns, 1 Mine(special) and shield(no thruster). Then we make the bomb: Xeno space charge, 25 mil dropper, 3 mil per ammo, 5-10k range, 300-500k hull damage, 15-20 seconds time until explosion after dropped. Stats something like Ship: Hull: 30 000 Shield: Class 10 Thruster: None Weapons: 2/0 Equipment: M, CM Gunboat manouvering Charge: Hull damage: 500 000 Shield damage: 250 000 Range: 10 000 Time to expode after dropped: 20seconds Seeker range: 10 000 And then we make a dropper only usable on Preagle model. Thus we get a unique terrorist weapon that people must actually be terrified of. Also we rap it up with nice explosion(effect like this one): And we have ourselvles a better RP in Liberty. What do you think about it? Xeno space charges - Jinx - 08-22-2008 its useless - even a starflier will only take shield damage. - and if its intended as an area-of-effect charge to blow up NPCs.... i don t know if i like it much. - but on the other hand, who would want to fly it anyway... you can setup a bomber and load a twin nova launcher and get a similar effect ( means, - you are dead... and not only that, but you also be bombarded with a dozen of reports for underlevel killing ... if its really a twin charge ) if its only fireworkds, - i think its nicer to simply roleplay it - like the outcasts roleplay their nukes ( not like anyone really cares for them anyway ) - but super mega weapons in the hands of those that have the freedom to blow up anything in their path, - though tempting - might cause quite some unrest among those that are targetted. - terrorists have an advantage already, even with whats generally offered in terms of "standard weaponry". besides - isn t one other reason the civi bomber is replaced... cause its bugged? Xeno space charges - sn!p3r - 08-22-2008 Looks beautiful, but i fear server lag and people spamming this for the wrong reasons. The current xeno players are well roleplayed, organised, etc.. Last thing they need is a super weapon that attracts people who just want pvp. But yea it would also blow up underlvls... @Sniper Perhaps, but thats why it costs 3 mil per mine and the bomber would have to commit suicide to do it... Xeno space charges - jammi - 08-23-2008 Well if the Xenos were building it, they wouldn't be paying for it at all, but the 25mil price tag might reflect on how much you'd have to bribe them for for you to buiy one. In other words, they'd make life so difficult for you it wasn't worth it. But like said before, easily abused, although I love the effect! |
