Negotiations on Baden-Baden //( Invited Posters Only!) - Havok - 05-18-2014

The sun rose on the Horizon of Baden-Baden as the Final preparations for the Summit between Interspace Commerce, It's allies and Rheinland Officials came to an end. The round table was prepared, the arguements and goals laid out by the Bundestag, eventhough the Summit was still a days or two away, everything was already prepared, and the Kanzler and his representatives would be ready and waiting for their respected guests to arrive at the spaceport not far away from the Residence chosen to host this summit.

From the Spaceport, the Libertonian Businessmen would be directly escorted to the residence, and made feel welcome and most of all, respected. This was an important meeting that could very well change Rheinlands Economy.

The time ticked down as everyone awaited the day.

A large liner begins approaching the space-port a single day later. Right on time for the summit. As it gets closer, the make is quickly revealed to be of Renzu origin. The vessel as well as the escorts are triple checked for authentication, which checked out three times in a row. The Interspace representative has arrived.

As the escorts were ordered to remain a slight distance from the base, along with the rest of the Rhienland forces, the Liner moors with the base, and a single man flanked by one other exits into the base.

Looking around the structure carefully, eyeing backwards as the Liner undocks and begins to float off a little while it's passenger deals with the business he came for.

The man was wearing a suit and tie, which could easily be recognized from the comms images from before as Jacob Wells. Not the CEO, yet the political image for the Commerce.

Glancing around the entrance hall once more. "Quite accommodating. I'll need to thank the hosts after this is all finished with."

RE: Negotiations on Baden-Baden //( Invited Posters Only!) - Tabris - 05-26-2014

Herman Voss sighed for what seemed to be the tenth time since he arrived on Baden Baden, the Kommissaroberrat was the representative of the BDM's own interests in these talks since it was the Buro and Military who had first boots on the station during the Bonn takeover. He was here to ensure that BDM Interests were maintained and that the talks went through with the new Kanzler and the other representatives.

Which was why he was stuck waiting outside one of Baden-Baden's many fine residences, a luxury house that would serve as the host where both Rheinland and Interspace Commerce could speak freely and if things went well hammer out an agreement that would benefit both parties, Orbital Spa & Cruise had many houses like this one on Baden-Baden, normally used by businessmen seeking to get away from the harsh troubles plaguing Sirius or wealthy families seeking to indulge in Rheinland culture and simply to relax.

Voss hasn't had the opportunity to indulge himself in what Baden-Baden had to offer due to the war with Liberty taking a toll on his time, while it was cooling off somewhat there was still sporadic fighting by raiders on both sides, the war Liberty was engaging with Gallia in the Leeds/Magellan sectors thankfully took some of the heat off of Rheinland but even he knew it couldn't last forever...

He shook his head as he straightened his cap and uniform, keeping an eye on the other representatives that accompanied the Kanzler and the other for their guests...

RE: Negotiations on Baden-Baden //( Invited Posters Only!) - Kanzler Schulte - 06-16-2014

Kanzler Schulte had arrived a day before for the Summit, it had been a calm day so the Kanzler was able to look over the plans for the next day. It was that time now, where through back-doors and corridors, Maximilian Schulte made his way into the Conference room, under security by Special Forces of the Rheinwehr, the Kanzler took his seat.

In the entrance hall, and throughout the building, an announcement rung out. "The Summit of Baden-Baden will now begin in the West Wing Conference Room. All participants are asked to proceed there at this time."

Now it would only take minutes before the Interspace Delegation would arrive. New times for Rheinland would be sure.

RE: Negotiations on Baden-Baden //( Invited Posters Only!) - Remnant - 06-16-2014

Jacobs eyes slide to the roof of the room he was in, as he hears the announcement go off. Shutting his briefcase after tucking away some of his documents again, he slowly stands back up to his full height and begins following a few convenient navigation signs to the West Wing Conference Room.

Arriving at the room after three minutes and twenty eight seconds of walking, he looks around the room, quite interested in who the other participants would be. He knew that he most likely wouldn't know any of them, however appearance means a lot.

Glancing around, he spots tags for each persons name on each of the seats, most likely so he could address others by name instead of rudely pointing if needed. Glancing up and seeing that the Kanzler was already seated, he promptly does such as well.

Deciding not to say a word until the meeting is started by the head, unless spoken to. That's how he did things.

RE: Negotiations on Baden-Baden //( Invited Posters Only!) - Tabris - 06-17-2014

When Voss was finally called inside he followed the Buro agent sent to escort him to the meeting between the Kanzler and the Interspace representative inside the house. The room was a very comfortable conference room in the west wing, he smoothed out his uniform when he took his seat to the left of Schulte and folded his hands ontop of the table. Eying the Interspace rep who was now waiting in his own seat for the meeting to get underway. Voss did not like it...Interspace was reknown in Rhienland for having unsavory ties, truth or not it didn't matter, it tended to colour many who would do business with them outside of Rheinland space.

Still he would mind himself and stick to facts instead of rumours as required, he doubted he would be needed in any real capacity here but still it was better to be prepared then be caught with their metaphorical pants being down.

RE: Negotiations on Baden-Baden //( Invited Posters Only!) - Daumann Heavy Construction - 06-18-2014

Heavily armored Pelican-class shuttle launched from just arrived at the orbit luxury liner hastily entered atmosphere after flying trough docking ring. It was obvious its passengers were in hurry, as pilots transmitted signal codes to traffic control right after initial turbulences calmed down. Shuttle flew over small archipelago and approached closed to civilians area, again contacting local control and relying codes. Two Wraiths which followed it since the moment it closed to guarded area and even ordered to turn around or be shot down returned to normal patrol duty around resort's airspace.

Mechanics were surprised someone more arrived, but not higher ups in the resort's staff. Quick landing wasn't entirely model, but still safe, and armored limousine with tinted windows waited outside when the shuttle's door opened. Squad of tall, broad-shouldered bodyguards wearing exclusive suits and earpieces came out of the Pelican and secured few meters long space between the vessel and the limousine with tinted windows. Few men looking like clerks followed them, and entered the car, which immediately drove towards building. Bodyguards waited just few seconds longer for another car, less exclusive or secured than the first one, albeit still far more expensive than what average Sirian had in garage.

"Damned troubles on Bonn, I'm late" - thought Dieter Mittermeier, Daumann Heavy Construction CEO, entering building.
"They almost started..."

Hotel staff and security agents weren't stopping guest except formal looks at the badges of delegation, informed in advance by traffic control. Invited guests, Interspace and Rheinland officials alike, already were in the conference room, seemingly waiting for late guest. Courtesy statements started few minutes ago and delegates were exchanging formal greetings now.

"Mr. Mittermeier, Daumann Heavy Construction delegation" - chief of protocol announced.

"Apologies, honorable delegates. My departure from The Ring was delayed by events which possibly could result in disastrous outcome for our state, I had to stay a little longer in New Berlin and personally ensure everything was solved. Shall we start?.."

RE: Negotiations on Baden-Baden //( Invited Posters Only!) - Kanzler Schulte - 06-19-2014

As the delegations finally all found their ways into the Conference Room, the Kanzler nodded to one of the guards at the door, who then stepped outside and closed the doors. Inside the room were now heavily armed guards in each corner, and the members of the delegations, but there was surely more forces on the Kanzler's side waiting outside the doors. Waiting for a few minutes before settling down, Maximilian Schulte took a drink of the water that stood before him before he cleared his throat.

"Esteemed Gentlemen, today's Summit might well change the tone in not only Rheinland, but Sirius as a whole. We all know why we're here and what goal each of us seek. It is our duty now, to negotiate our terms, lay open our cards and work out a Solution which will benefit us all. As they are the guests, our friends from Interspace Commerce will receive the opening statement. The Summit of Baden-Baden is now opened."

The Kanzler looked around the table at each of the men sitting there before he leaned back into his chair, waiting for the delegate to begin his statement.

RE: Negotiations on Baden-Baden //( Invited Posters Only!) - Remnant - 06-19-2014

Wells nods twice as he receives his queue to open the meeting up. Leaning forward while adjusting his posture slightly, he pulls out a single paper from his folder. Folding his hands, he begins.

"Good afternoon gentlemen, I really do appreciate you all coming out with open minds. I understand that it may be slightly difficult due to the.. ah.. Stupidity upon which former management of the Interspace Commerce decided to pursue Rheinland unlawful business. Which quite frankly doesn't make an ounce of sense in my own mind.

Rheinland as whole right now, can be much more than it is right now. I by no means am ridiculing the state that it is in right now, however I merely am pointing to it's potential. Each and every one of you have managed this house and have placed it in hopes for it to become great. The only thing that is missing however from the equation of things? The most difficult part of all. Funding.

Now I realize that you may be a little.. skeptical about us because of what happened in the past. For that very reason, I would like to present two long term effects which I hope to come from your allowance for us to begin work within your house once more."

Raising a finger with each idea.

"First of all, is an economic stabilization. I understand that your economy has not failed thanks to the good work of various companies such as the Dauman Heavy Construction, and perhaps ALG Waste Disposal. However compared to the other houses, and some financial observations from our departments, I believe that compared to the other houses save for perhaps the current events with Bretonia, it could be higher.

I have decided that it would be smart to pursue Rheinland, funneling some credits into your operations. After all, a rising economy is beneficial to all. Yourselves, and we don't doom ourselves for putting credits into a place that we won't get it back in time. The benefits outweigh the risk for becoming involved back in Rhienland"

"Second. Support. My next offer can be debated and perhaps changed a little by yourselves, however we have made a few arrangements with a few close friends of ours back in Liberty. Now I am aware of the current.. standings between yourselves and the house of Liberty. I would like to however stress the point that corporations are 'not' militaries. I have understood that the general consensus for those who work for profit of themselves, and the building up of the world for others really doesn't have any bounds besides perhaps the standard cooperation to cooperation rivalries.

The mere reason why restrictions are in place, is due to houses attempting to isolate their own corporations from the other houses.

Why I bring up such a thing. Libertonian corporations coming to help.. I have observed your Gate and Lane network, they are not as.. whole as they could be so to say. Dire need of repairs exist, and there isn't anyone with the know-how to do such. Deep Space Engineering, and perhaps even Ageira may be quite willing to come down, and assist one of your current corporations with the repairs that you need. I do not expect for them to be working alone, as if I put myself in your situation, I would like them under some sort of watch. I personally think Dauman is a good choice for any possible overlooks that you'd require."

"Well then gentlemen, lets hear your thoughts on things."

Clapping his hands together gently, looking at the crowd in front of him expectantly.

RE: Negotiations on Baden-Baden //( Invited Posters Only!) - Tabris - 06-20-2014

Voss waited patiently as the Interspace Commerce representative made his opening speech and layout of their economic ideas to re-establish a working relationship between the House and Interspace. Nodding at several points made concerning the Trade/Gate network, while he didn't trust corporations like Ageira he understood that they are the only ones aside from Solar Engineering in Gallia with the 'know-how' on how to manufacture the components used by Deep Space Engineering to establish a strong gate/lane network.

At the end of the speech Voss spoke up calmly to voice his mind.

"Herman Voss, representing the Buro der Marineintelligenz, first off allow me to welcome you to Baden-Baden and my hopes that this summit will as Bretonians and Libertonians would say 'Bury the Hatchet' between our House and Interspace Commerce." He stated, giving a respectful nod to the man before continuing.

"I however must express my concerns about other corporations such as Deep Space Engineering and Ageria, I'm sure you can understand that we'd require assurances that any business conducted would not be clouded by Nationalistic ideals on either side which would run the risk of allowing sabotage under the command of the Republic of Liberty. The Buro is curious if your fellow Corporate Leaders are willing to set aside feelings of Nationalism to properly conduct business in the Rheinland Markets?" he asked, he was curious, it would be annoying to have to be even more watchful for sabotage of projects and industry which is vital to the economic growth of the Rheinland Markets, just because he was a member of Military Intelligence doesn't mean he didn't care about the economic risks involved in war.
