Puerto Del Sol - Lythrilux - 05-26-2014
I'm curious what people have to say about this base. In the entire time I've been here, I've yet to hear a positive comment about this base. Even Corsairs themselves don't like it.

Its a core 4 Lyth, killing it without the normal forum RP is an outright slap in the face of those who built it. The best option would be to move it away from the Jump Hole, like far far away, in a place where it can't disturn player interactions.

Well, I dislike this base myself. It destroyed the fun RHA raids in Gamma. Actually, it destroyed most of RHA-Corsair interaction. Still, people did put effort into building and maintaining it. And as long as they'll continue, there's nothing one can do. Doing a thread about it neither.

I'm not saying whether it should be blown up without the natural course of forum RP or not, this is just a thread to gather someone opinions on.

Basically, you can't do anything about it without having a good iRP reason to destroy it, Just not because saying It kills Corsair - RHA interaction.

PM the owner in a nice, reasonable, civil manner and see if they're amenable to the idea of moving it? Starting a thread like this will likely serve to gather up a lot of torches and pitchforks. If and when the owner shows up here, they'll get flamed to cinders, which will make them less likely to agree to anything. Try that first. If that fails, appeal to the admins - in a civil manner - that it's been detrimental to gameplay and offer a reasonable solution.

You could call the base a slap in the face of the community, so that makes us even?
I'd be more concerned about the fact that killing it without RP is still against the rules.

Actually, you're right. This will probably drag away from a civil discussion. And I don't mean for the owner to get flamed.

If the location of a POB is found to harm server gameplay, then talk with the base's owner and state your case. If he is disinclined to cooperate or listen, then post your case in Players Request for it to be moved. We moved one base at the request of the POB's owner, who was concerned about the harm his own base was having on server gameplay.
