Not sure of better or worse. I accidentally the wall in the process.
Now I still need to buy some cupboards for the top and will go for a bar-esque thing with high stools.

I hope you put some dwangs in to carry the boards around the edges & don't forget the scrim tape for the joints before you plaster up or the board will bend with the humidity in the kitchen.
