How NPC base docking limitations work? - Ponge - 06-06-2014

Greetings.

There are certain NPC bases (like the Bretonian Satellite in Leeds, the stationary Rogue Scylla in New York, etc.), which cannot be docked by certain ship types.

My question is, how is this solved technically? What is the parameter that has to be modified to restrict docking on an NPC base? Is it related to cargohold size, or ship type, or some other way is used?

For example, if you set a docking restriction on an NPC base so cruisers/battleships cannot dock, will transports be able to dock?

Thanks in advance.

I believe it's set on whether there is a moor or not and whether the ship docks with a moor or not, in the same way a transport docks with the moor on planets and fighters use the docking ring.

I see, so the Leeds satellite is defined as a docking ring, so maximum freighters can dock. I hoped for an other type of mechanic for this as separate docking management might have been useful to... solve a certain problem.
