Idea for Rule 6.0 - Freeroamer - 06-23-2014 Why dont we add a part to this rule like Quote:Purposely Abusing Game Exploits Just my idea let me know what you think RE: Idea for Rule 6.0 - Remnant - 06-23-2014 Quote:Changing account information and using any kinds of software that changes normal gameplay. The above quote seems to cover that quite well. I mean, I suppose it wouldn't hurt, however that'd be a bit redundant. Using stuff to modify your character. (An exploit) RE: Idea for Rule 6.0 - Freeroamer - 06-23-2014 Yes i see your point.. But i think this would cover People Exploiting In game bugs (I.E. System walls, EMP after cruse) RE: Idea for Rule 6.0 - Arioch - 06-23-2014 The minute we add every possible variable of a rule, is the minute we cease to be a player-friendly mod. The rules are in place to be guidelines and offer a general consensus of what not to do. Adding more words to a rule that is already pretty straight forward does nothing but make more rules and thus hinder new players from wanting to join the Disco community. RE: Idea for Rule 6.0 - Freeroamer - 06-23-2014 Thats not my point My point is to fix the problem with People Abusing Game bugs Like i dont really think reporting under the current 6.0 would work all that well RE: Idea for Rule 6.0 - Arioch - 06-23-2014 If people are exploiting bugs in such a way that it is detrimental (like spawning bases or spawning jump drives), then they know what they are doing, and will be dealt with. You don't need a rule to cover every possible situation as I said. If it is a bug, and it's not a blatant cheating, then just make a post in the bugs thread to make devs aware. To make a rule that you can't use exploits like that is counter-productive, in that what if someone finds a bug. You see someone using that bug, and maybe they aren't aware it is a bug. How is that fair to report t when it isn't cheating, but more of something devs should know? For example, say I found a code name that could be mounted on a battleship. Weird I know. Say I undock, and am testing it out and then want to inform the devs. You see me undock and using weapons that a BS shouldn't have, then report me... Do you see how messy that can be? So just leave it as is, and if you think it's a bug that should be fixed, post it in the bug thread. RE: Idea for Rule 6.0 - Freeroamer - 06-23-2014 I see what you mean Close this for me will you? |
