The Watchers: Gaia's Eyes and Ears - Gaian Guard - 06-23-2014 The Watchers
Gaia’s Eyes and Ears (image by Dimon) General IFF/ID: Gaian tag: <G> Historical Overview After the fall of Glendale, many among the Gaians’ numbers were concerned how incredibly vulnerable they had been. Though they were prepared for many emergencies - an OSC tour nearby, a BAF skirmish, BMM mining - a huge military ambush was not one of them. They asked that if even they could not see such coming, who would watch for such perils for Gaia? A year later, with things eventually brought back to order, these ideas resurfaced in Gaian conversations, from the Green Hell all the way to the drab meeting rooms on Skye. Questions spread through all the stations they controlled, until eventually an answer emerged. A group called the Watchers formed, to serve as the eyes and ears of Gaia and ensure neither her nor those acting on her behalf would be taken by surprise again. Organization The Watchers are organized fairly loosely, with no defined rank structure. Once a Gaian is considered a member, they are treated at the same level as all the others. They are divided based on which stations they operate from. Planning, Strategies, and Operations Project Shetland Project Shetland is the oldest organized effort of the Gaians to attack their foes. Spread between Islay Base, Skye Base, and Sandur Base within the edges of Bretonia, it is the effort to project Planet Gaia itself, as well as liberate Planet Harris from its fate. It also encompasses the efforts to save the wildlife that Planetform and OSC have taken off the planet. As such, the majority of craft capable of carrying large quantities of life are usually based in this region of space. In addition, Skye has seen a much higher quantity of Kusari-built craft pass through its docks than the other stations. Operations
Project Mallorca Project Mallorca is the collective name for the Gaian assaults against Bretonia’s attempted colonization of Planet Sprague as well as its further expansion into the Poole system. It is based on Torshavn Space Port within the Cambridge system and sends assault wings out to cover Cambridge, Omega-3, and Poole. Due to its location and the many threats, such as the Norfolk in particular and the Borderworlds in general, that these routes cover, it also has the largest Corsair influence, including a variety of Crete-built ships and several military advisors. Operations
Project Jamaica Project Jamaica is the name for the Gaian attacks along the Bretonian-Libertonian border region. Major targets in this area include OSC’s Planet Curacao within the Cortez system, Planet California Minor within the California system, and ongoing operations within the Inverness system. It is organized by some of the more extreme Gaians on Klaksvik Outpost within the Inverness and as such as the highest percentage of Gaian-built craft as the members there rarely appreciate unusual ships docking. Partially due to this it and partially for pure logistic reasons, its organization has also spread to Holmfirth Base in the Manchester system, a base known to be open to just about anyone. Operations
Individual's Projects Overall Goals
Zone of Operations Diplomacy Allied - Our close friends Farmers Alliance Hogosha Corsairs Friendly - Our good buddies The Brotherhood Junkers LWB Business Associates - More friendly than neutral due to usefulness, but we're not really pals in any sense of the word. Kusari corporations, government, and civilians Gallic corporations, government, and civilians Zoners Neutral - either no opinion or nothing firmly established Mollys SCRA Rogues Kusari Exiles Council Colonials Artificial Intelligence Neutral - unknown Bundschuh Unioners Brigands Maquis Neutral - other Nomads and Wild The Order Unfriendly - We don't like them, but not so much to go out of our way about it. But they're good for piracy, blackmail, and hiding behind if the BAF is shooting. Or just ignoring if they seem peaceful enough. Rheinland corporations Liberty corporations and government IMG Outcasts Blood Dragons GC Hessians Lane Hackers Xenos FL-ER Hostile - We dislike them immensely. BAF BPA Bretonian corporations Synth Foods GMG Reapers Targets - destruction and/or terror is rewarded Planetform Orbital Spa and Cruise BMM Ships and Equipment Gaian built guns and ships are used by all members, as are civilian craft and weapons. Those originating from Torshavn may also have Corsair-built equipment and ships. Skye, Sandur, and Islay based members may utilize Gallic or Kusari guns and ships. Holmfirth pilots have been seen using most anything, and Klaksvik pilots only use Gaian things. RE: The Watchers: Gaia's Eyes and Ears - Wraga - 06-24-2014 Unfortunately I dont have free time for playing novadays, so I couldnt support you ingame, but I wish you good luck. Its a shame that gaians arent representing themselves on the server, so I hope, you could change this situation. I was in the NLH long, long time ago, like in any other gaian faction"ling", so feel free to ask if you have questions or need some help. RE: The Watchers: Gaia's Eyes and Ears - Cashew - 06-24-2014 I am really looking forward to meeting you guys in game. I'm a bit full on factions at the moment but I have been in a previous Gaian faction so feel free to throw questions at me. Other than that goodluck PS: Make sure you pew Planetform RE: The Watchers: Gaia's Eyes and Ears - WesternPeregrine - 06-25-2014 Good, Gaians making a show again. Hope to see you guys in Edinburgh sometime soon. RE: The Watchers: Gaia's Eyes and Ears - Mao - 06-25-2014 I got my hands on a gaian ship. I'll make a visit to your recruitment office soon. I hope you plan on getting rid of that hideous base that's polluting my nice asteroid field around Holmfirth. RE: The Watchers: Gaia's Eyes and Ears - Marburg - 06-26-2014 This is a very cool beginning I specifically love the horizontal power structure & having one of the goals be to take full control of Edinburgh Just the idea of one day the Gaians going rogue & forming their own politically independent Free State is enough to make my proverbial panties wet Bring the Gaians back, Baby!!!! RE: The Watchers: Gaia's Eyes and Ears - farmerman - 09-01-2014 Bump for some updating afoot. |
