PERSONAL HISTORY:
Rohj Teerin was born to a lower middle class family that operated a small freelance hauling business. The company was founded by his grandparents, who were Zoner immigrants from Ames Research Station. They came to Liberty a year before his father, Leo, was born. Leo grew up in their footsteps, taking over the company when they passed on in 785 A.S.

Prior to that however, Leo had children of his own and Rohj, named for his grandfather, is the first of three kids. He is also older than both of his cousins, whose mother is the sister of Leo. They tried their best to bring their children up to support the company; bringing them to workshops, spaceports, and the like. But despite their efforts, each of them went their separate ways.

Rohj's youngest sibling Chris left them without notice shortly before the Nomad War started. Presumed to have traveled out to the Sigmas, no one has heard of him since. Their sister was deeply affected by this, and soon thereafter became an alcoholic. She is now a public speaker, determined to raise awareness.

One of his cousins, Carl Corey, took a job with the Independent Miners Guild and spends most of his time blasting asteroids in the irradiated Tau-23 Star System. The other, Bolingar Corey, took after their Bretonian father and works as a completely independent transport-for-hire.

Having a bad relationship with his parents, Rohj became the first in his family to join the military. As soon as he could, he registered for Officer Training School at West Point Academy in late 801 A.S. Given that the Nomad War had finished several months prior, the Navy was eagerly taking on young Cadets. Following the conclusion of his classes there and at Fort Severn, Teerin was assigned to the 82nd Corporate Support Squadron. There he flew as an auxiliary support pilot for Ageira trade vessels primarily in the Colorado Star System.

As a member of that wing, Rohj was commended for bravery and promoted to Junior Lieutenant during his first six months. But overall, he saw very little combat and after two full years he transferred into the reserves. Teerin had a chance run-in with Carl later that year and in no time found himself a part-time IMG employee. He was assigned as an emergency communications responder on Aland Shipyard, as warranted from his escorting experience in the Navy. In 810 A.S., he returned to Liberty and worked a similar job for Interspace Commerce.

Four years later, Teerin returned to active duty. Having taken additional flight courses at Richmond, he spent a lot of time as a junior coordinator at Fort Bragg on Manhattan before taking an active role in First Fleet space operations. Shortly after his promotion to Lieutenant, then-Commodore Henri Lavalle took special notice of Rohj by making him an aide-de-camp of the Admiralty. Months later, following the retirement of Fleet Admiral Hale, Baker promoted Rohj to Commander of the Logistics Corps. By mid-July 820 A.S., he made the rank of Vice Admiral.

Near to the beginning of 821 A.S., Baker took an extended medical leave, with Sanders as her replacement. After merely three months on the job, Roy stepped down to the rank of Captain. Due to other circumstances at the time, Teerin was the sole Admiral for a span of nearly two weeks. Infrastructure in both the mid and high commands are still being reworked.

Teerin has been known as an even-handed, approachable Admiral who enjoys the company of his subordinates. In addition to his leadership accomplishments, he has been issued over a dozen awards, most notably the Navy Silver Star, Navy Bronze Star, and Bomber Ace Pin.

On Reserve Duty since late summer 822 A.S., he now spends most his time at an apartment on his home planet, and also maintains connections with friends and former wingmen such as Alan Polstari and James Lambert.

PERSONAL HISTORY:
John was born on March 14th, 798 A.S., to Lawrence and Sandra Graham. Both of his parents descended from a long line of Libertonian servicemen and women, and that showed - Lawrence, his father, had served thirty years with the Liberty Police and did so until his son's birth.

John wasn't a problem child, not by a long shot - he maintained good grades, a good work ethic both in and outside of school, and generally stayed away from the rougher parts of downtown Universalis Primus, named after Universal Shipping, the primary corporation in Pennsylvania.

However, when it came to post-secondary education, the future did not look bright. Both of his parents were still working at the time but did not have the wages to put him through college - and Graham, while a hard worker, could not possibly do it himself. Instead, he decided to sign up for Officer Candidate School at West Point Military Academy at 18, hoping to secure a future for his children and also serve his nation in the meantime.

He did relatively well in OCS, although he was found to be a bit brash and heroic in his decision making, not always taking the time to think about every aspect of a situation. Barring that, he made it through OCS and was deployed as part of the 88th Logistics Support Wing, a fighter squadron based out of Battleship Ottawa in Ontario that was primarily tasked with keeping the small but steady trade going in and out of the Alberta system, mainly supply vessels from Deep Space Engineering's mining efforts in the sector.

While he didn't see much action here, he was eventually moved to the 7th Fighter Wing in New York, where he was noticed by the Wing Commander, who, after seeing Graham perform well in numerous engagements against pirates, informed him of openings in the First Fleet. Graham, then, in May of 821 A.S., filed for a Request-for-Transfer to the 88th Fighter Wing of the First Fleet, which was accepted.

Cadet Graham immediately took every opportunity he could to impress the Admiralty, from fighting against Rheinlanders to making long patrols, performing anti-smuggling and embargo operations. Less than a month from his transfer to First Fleet, Graham had already made Lieutenant, and continues to serve the Navy in both the 88th Fighter Wing as well as his operations aboard the LLS Lakewood, servicing Long Island Station.

PERSONAL HISTORY:
The first appearance of the name 'Hartman' on Defence Records can be traced back to a Marine Corps recruitment application administered on October 12th, 661 A.S. Since then, the name emerges another handful of times, scattered throughout Marine Corps service records like grain across a field. The Hartmans have ever been a military family, with childhoods split between a half-dozen bases strewn across Liberty space and adult lives often just as variable - postings aboard warships leaping out amid records of planetary postings stretching from the arid wastes of Pittsburgh to the bustling spaceports of Los Angeles.

Jane Eliza Hartman, born to a New Richland City florist and workaholic office worker, was an exception. With her grandparents the closest serving relatives - both retired marines themselves - Hartman lived a relatively stationary childhood on the outskirts of the city, as often in the hands of her grandparents as not when work demanded the attention of her closer relatives. Both grandparents were never short of stories, tales of service life and adventures out in the black, old friends and aging warships. An irresistible combination for a young girl bored of the confines of the city - and never mind the strange, long silences that occasionally drifted into their tales.

At age twelve Hartman stepped through the faded green gates of Carolina Military School, to the delight of her grandparents and the simmering disappointment of her mother and father. Hartman took to the pseudo-military culture like a fish to water and, despite only middling academic results, graduated as a cadet sergeant at the end of her five years. The students had become family in all but name over the years, and tears were shed on the day they parted - though many, Jane among them, met again in a matter of months at the recruiting stations scattered across New Richland. From there, a simple stroke of a pen and her parent's reluctant approval secured her place as a marine recruit in Richland's 804 A.S intake.

Hartman took her place on the bright yellow boot prints outside Marine Corps Recruit Depot Hampton Hill alongside two hundred other hopefuls, with her eyes set on a Recon place. One in ten candidates was gone by the end of week one. Drills and the training became their lives. For the first month of training, drills were held at all hours of the night and, on one occasion, in the middle of breakfast. Rigorous firing drills were repeated, time and again, until operating a rifle became as natural a thing as breathing.

Three months later, amid the bustle of the School of Infantry, the cause of the unceasing drills was revealed. Fifty candidates, Hartman included, had been chosen to undergo Recon screening. Three days into the training, the number was down to forty two. By the end of week one, thirty six. In the early hours of day eight, a kilometre from the end of a timed thirty kilometre pack march, the number dropped to thirty five. A knee injury, acquired in the early stages of training, had finally pushed Hartman past her breaking point. Unable to walk, she bowed out of selection. A little over two weeks later, at the completion of a hellish half year, Private First Class Hartman was assigned to the 4th Marine Regiment as a Rifleman under Major Carne, and posted to shore facilities on Pittsburgh, ready and rearing for the adventures she had promised.

She found only dust and the roar of mining transports. Eighteen months of relative inactivity with the Pittsburgh garrison passed slowly after the ceaseless rush of boot camp. Though she was undoubtedly disappointed, the assignment left plenty of time for individual projects, and Jane took advantage of what spare time was available to catch up with the family she had neglected.

Reassignment aboard the Titania class assault carrier Philadelphia finally bought the excitement Hartman had been promised. Philadelphia and her four hundred strong Marine compliment was incorporated into Operation Hedgerow, a sector-scale operation working to eliminate key sources of influence for pirate leaders in central Liberty. The 4th was ordered to board and seize a small Rogue 'bolt hole' station, haphazardly conjoined to the remnants of the Texas incident, an action that lead to what the media and shocked public would later call the Black Rock Massacre. While the initial seizure of the station went without incident, a convoy of civilian transports containing liberated slaves was ordered by the Marines to evacuate the station, only to be fired on by undiscovered pirate weaponry hidden amid the rock, resulting in the death of thirty four non-combatants and twelve Marines. With their means of escape cut off, the remaining pirate forces fought like cornered animals, desperate to evict the 4th from their station. Of the fifty six Marines assigned to board Black Rock, just over half made it back uninjured. Hartman was one of the survivors, thanks largely to the actions of one Captain Christopher Tancher. With such a significant portion of Bravo Company out of action, the depleted unit was reassigned to a smaller Interdictorclass battlecruiser, Douglas.

Douglas saw significant combat; however, her missions were primarily conducted against hostile warships at ranges that left the marines of bravo company unable to do more then clutch their rifles, grit their teeth and twiddle their thumbs. After two months aboard, the unit was rotated through to Pittsburgh and granted a brief leave period prior to conducting a one month joint exercise with elements of the Army. Units were drilled in aerial insertion and fire co-ordination. The exercise was political manoeuvring at its finest; part training exercise and part a display of force intended to dissuade the rising pirate threat in Liberty's border worlds, it was a resounding success on the first count and an equally resounding failure on the second. Hartman was simply glad to be free of the smothering confines of a warship's corridors.

By early 806A.S, the ceaseless pirate attacks and accompanying contraband could no longer be ignored. Bravo Company; along with significant elements from the remainder of the 4th Regiment, were assigned to the 214th Rapid Response Flotilla, a gunboat-centered light interception force focused on scouting missions and the enforcement of harsh anti-smuggling laws. The 214th had a great deal of success in its assignment, on one occasion single-handedly holding back a rare pirate heavy cruiser in California until reinforcements arrived by boarding the ship and disabling its drive systems. The success did not come without cost, and Bravo Company's return to the flotilla left many empty bunks.

Two months into the assignment, Hartman's squad was dispatched to support a routine cargo-interception run. Designated as the unit negotiator, Hartman had removed her helmet and suffered extensive shrapnel wounds when a proximity explosive shredded the internal walls of the transport they had boarded. Bleeding and screaming, she was dragged back to the shuttle and rushed to Mississippi's med-bay. Thirty six hours later, she was transferred to Beaumont Medical Center, Manhattan. Hartman spent a month undergoing reconstructive surgery to repair the physical damage, though the mental scars were far slower to heal. After her injury Hartman struggled to face the idea of returning to active duty and, in light of her record, was offered a medical discharge, which she accepted.

Hartman failed to return to Beaumont for follow-up treatment; a decision whose consequences remained etched in scar tissue on her features. Save a ticket on a public shuttle returning her to Houston and a smattering of accommodation and food bills, no record exists of Hartman's actions between departing Beaumont Medical Center and reappearing outside Manhattan's Navy Recruitment Center two years later.

Hesitant to take command, Hartman was hardly West Point's most shining example of an officer candidate; however, she struggled through the course with the same determination that had carried her through multiple combat tours. Hartman kept her distance from the teenagers that made up most of West Point's population, and it wasn't until she was assigned her first naval posting that she began to feel the old military camaraderie creeping back in.

A competent and committed officer, almost to the point of fanaticism, Hartman has served in a variety of postings alongside strike wings, capital divisions and resupply squadrons. When Commander Clark stepped down as Fleet Logistics Officer, Hartman; then a freshly-promoted Lieutenant Commander and experienced logistics officer, was granted temporary command of the logistics corps. She retained the position when then Vice Admiral Teerin assumed control of the corps, albeit as an assistant and full commander.

Hartman served briefly as the commanding officer of the doomed, defecting Normandie, though was not aboard when the former Gallic flagship declared its independence from the First Fleet, vanishing in to the dark, distant corners of explored space - a lapse she views as an unforgivable failing. Nonetheless, in the wake of the disaster Hartman found herself promoted to Captain and, with Teerin rising to Admiral, the commander of the Logistics Corps, under the direction of Admiral Alan Polstari. Personnel shortages lead to her promotion to full Admiral in late 821 A.S.

Distant as a commander, and ever-aware of the discipline and traditions that tie the navy together, Admiral Jane Hartman is a very different woman from the eager girl that signed up for the marines in the summer of 804 A.S. Intolerant of any lapse in personal bearing or standards among the officers under her command, Hartman is undoubtedly a harsh superior to serve under. However; she does so with the best of intentions - nothing less than the survival of the navy and the republic it serves.

Hartman was the force behind significant reforms in the Logistics Corps, the most noticeable being the establishment of the volunteer crew system and the reorganisation of the disparate support fleet elements comprising the First Fleet's logistic divisions into the 21st Combat Support Group. After a brief stint as commander of a reserve training group, she resumed duties with the First Fleet in 821A.S.

Hartman served briefly as Admiral of the 10th Fleet, a supporting element, during the doomed Leeds incursion known as Royal Flush. When her flagship was shot out from under her, Hartman and a handful of her crew were fortunate to survive the descent to Leeds. There, injured, they weathered the toxic atmosphere and Gallic patrols long enough to be retrieved by elements of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, under the command of then-Captain Reginald Lewis. Nonetheless, the combination of physical injury and the political backlash saw Hartman relegated first to Herbert Beeler Naval Hospital on LA for recovery, and then to a training position with Delaware OCS on Houston. Devoid of a command appointment, she reverted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and remains in the position to the present day.

PERSONAL HISTORY:
Sandra Rivers was born shortly before the 800th century began in the sirius sector. She grew up on planet Los Angeles in the California System where she witnessed the planet's glory days as well as its decline and the water crisis during her adolescence.
Once able, she started working at one of the planet's remaining hotels until she left the planet with her parents to escape the deterioating economical and environmental conditions.

Their transport was attacked by random freelancers and mercenaries though and Sandra, as the only survivor, fell right into the hands of a Liberty Rogue patrol that arrived after the attackers had left. They took her to Alcatraz depot in the same system.

The Liberty Rogues, while not being overly big on slavery were not altruistic overlords either, so they had Sandra work serving food and drinks at the bar of the station, utilizing her previous field of work. To earn her "keep".
Not for long, however, as young "Ms. Rivers" turned out to be a bit too young at this time and unable to handle the rough life at Alcatraz depot. Witnessing this sensitive individual narrowly evade severe abuse frequently within the first days, they actually took pity on the young woman and from then on only had her work at crime meetings where they could keep an eye on her but otherwise actually treated her gentlemanly enough, since Sandra was generally cooperative and did not cause any trouble.
For the Liberty Rogues, treating Sandra well enough and refraining from hurting or mistreating her and actually even protecting her from abuse was an act of parody towards Liberty. Sandra felt a bit degraded by her patronizing captors at times, but at the same time she couldn't help but also feel grateful to be spared many things so much more worse, and was therefore actually grateful that there seemed to be some decency left in these criminals.

Eventually, an outcast crime lord took an interest in Sandra at a crime meeting and the Rogues, having promised to leave her alive but nothing more handed her over as a bargaining chip to get a better deal. It was the end of her stay with the Rogues as the outcast crime lord took a dismayed Sandra to his transport and launched with a course set back to outcast space.

Fortunately for Sandra, the outcast's luck ran out as a Navy patrol found his transport soon after it launched and overpowered it, leaving nothing but debris and, emerging from it, one single escape pod once again. As Sandra's escape pod was tractored in but this time by friendly and well meaning ships, she couldn't help but wonder if it was a coincidence or if the Rogues knew this would happen and it was their way of "letting her go".

After rescuing and setting her free on Planet Manhatten, the Navy interviewed her for information on the Rogues, but since she had never been given the chance to pick up any really sensitive information, the Navy pilots who rescued her provided her with a few basic credits and wished her good luck.

On her way away from the navy base, Sandra found herself back in her life but without any direction to go. As her eyes spotted a navy recruitment center, she decided to take a leap of faith and make an unlikely decision.

For the next years her life took place at the navy academy, training, studying and witnessing a life that she would never have expected to see first hand. At first she felt it was not for her, the hardest obstacle being the physical tests as only after extensive training she managed to barely pass them. And then there was that fact that she was studying to shoot at other people and possibly kill them.
Still, with the physicals out of the way and with learning more about non-civillian life and what really happened up there in space and why, Sandra came to terms with the truth of the matter: Space was dangerous and if no one was there to protect themselves and others, it would literally be a dark place, much darker than it already was.

From that point on, Sandra found it easier to settle into her unlikely new life and eventually graduated as a fresh recruit and dedicated bomber pilot with 25 years of age, to start her career at battleship Mississippi in the Texas system as part of the secondary fleet.

While others quietly viewed her as ill-suited for combat, her unusually gentle demeanor for a fighter pilot earned her a few friendships among some of other pilots stationed there. But instead of harming that gentle nature, Commodore Caruthers supported Sandra and caused this trait of hers to become one of her strengths: Even in the heat of combat, recruit Rivers never lost sight of the pilot behind the other craft, even if in the end, it would explode and leave an escape pod behind. This ability to empathize with friend and enemy alike earned her unlikely friends (sometimes even among enemies) and favor as most of the other pilots found young recruit Rivers or "little Ms bomber", as some nicknamed her, somewhat endearing with her gentleness.

At some point she was introduced to the primary fleet as her performance significantly exceeded the requirements for secondary fleet duty. This meant more studies and an "accelerated officer training program" back on planet Manhatten where Sandra was confronted with potential weaknesses and liabilities of her empathic and gentle nature.
However, having had enough support and experience by now, she was able to pass the training program and overcome her weaknesses, even if only barely in some aspects.

As her career in the primary fleet began, cadet Rivers did not expect to come very far with her results, but the following time would disagree with her expectations of herself as she advanced to the rank of lieutenant and survived numerous perilious encounters.

Nowadays Lieutenant Rivers still serves in the Navy and can sometimes be seen flying her upholder bomber in formation with other fighter craft on patrol through out Liberty.

PERSONAL HISTORY:
Aria Coburn was born on the mining planet of Pittsburgh to Parents Nancy and Steven Coburn, growing up in the family business of mining as everyone else did on Pittsburgh. She learned fast living on such a harsh environment that life was often unfair and unkind.

At the age of 14 the learned how to use the smaller mining ships to mine ore out of the various rocks and transport the ore into the nearby transports to take to processing. In the same ships she used to mine she would escort the transports back to the docking ports when the days were completed.. of course her older brother Adrian was in the cockpit with her in the second seat to be sure she could handle the controls properly.

Continued mining till her 23rd birthday, after her mothers death she decided that she didn't want to just live life shooting rocks in space.. the miners agreed to let her use one of the civilian fighters to escort the transports around Liberty space. After several months of doing this she quite enjoyed the feeling of making people safe and actually keeping them safe from pirates and other sorts.

If she could do this for a few simple mining transports then joining the Navy could only bring more of that.. to others across liberty.. from the miners, the freelancers wandering around or even the odd politician, she wanted to be apart of something big.. something where she could make a difference.. something.. more then just being the mining girl.

PERSONAL HISTORY:
Born on Planet Los Angeles, California System in 794 A.S. Tyrone was born to a well financial fit family. He is the only child to his mother and father, but has many other family members of the Carter family. He grew up on Planet Los Angeles, didn't leave it until he turned the age of 17.

Before he went to persuade his dream, he had to work on Planet Los Angeles as a ship sales man. For two years, he spent his time in a bay, trying to sell a ship to a possible customer. Much of his life was plain, finished school one year earlier, due to skipping a grade earlier in his life. After successful two years of working as a sales man, he managed to pay for his own fees to be able to go and study further to get a degree. He didn't realize that his future was much different then what he expected.

After going to school to study further, he lost interest very quick in his dream job, which is when he decided to do what no one in his family did. Most of his family is into business, which is what he was going to study for, but no one has enlisted in the Navy, to serve and protect his homeland.

He lived through a lot, even still at his young age. Much of his past doesn't relate to where he currently is. His past was more still, then now. Served under the Secondary Fleet for 8 years, ever since he turned 20, he was already persuading his goal of becoming part of the Navy. After first year of training within the secondaries, he was transferred to a Captain of a Gunboat, and after five years, entered the Secondary Fleet Core, where he was given privilege of a Overlord class battleship.

Much of his work, hasn't proved what he can do. He enlisted within the primary fleet, to do what his main goal was, be a fighter pilot of the Primary Navy Fleet. Months have passed, and he has moved up a little through the ranks, something he did not expect.

After his devastating accident on board LNS Los Angeles of the Secondary Fleet Core, he hasn't dreamed of getting back into that life any time soon.

PERSONAL HISTORY:
Emma Kayla Lynch, born to Gemma and Dillon Lynch, was the second and final child to be born to the Lynch family in 801, Jeremy's Wild Adventure Land. Gemma was unfortunately caught at the theme park with her son, Harry. After Harry had miraculously survived the infamous Vomet Comet, Gemma went into labor, an entire 3 weeks pre-expected date. Despite this, Dillon managed to arrive on the scene with a doctor on hand and then and there Emma Kayla Lynch was born.

During this time, Dillon had taken up an intelligence role with the LSF, working on Houston to monitor the ever growing cardamine issues and criminal activity. However, due an information leak during the Nomad War, Dillon resigned from his position, fearful that he would put his family at risk by continuing his work. Because of this, he has always told his children that "loose lips almost sunk the ship", had there not been a strong, incorruptible mindset of the Liberty Navy. Much to his awareness, he knew that the Nomad infection had spread deep to the roots of the Navy, but decided to keep any information about the Nomads away from his children, to prevent panic and misunderstanding. Instead, to Harry and Emma, the War was brought in by internal disputes that almost caused a Liberty Civil War.

During her time as a child, Emma was unknowingly exposed to Nomadic sounds in her sleep, training her to become sleepy when ever a Nomad interacted with her. The experiment was carried out by a rogue scientist that had a fascination with hypnotism and after finding out that he wasn't actually a sleep therapist, Gemma and Dillon send him away immediately. But the damage had been done and Emma had been conditioned to fall asleep when being contacted by Nomads.

This however, didn't slow down her progress in school as she passed her final year with flying colors, then quickly took up work on her family's farm as a security guard during the night watch. While security was something that Emma had showed extreme passion for in the past, having the opportunity to fend off criminals gave Emma a patriotic thrill, similar to the one her father got when he busted open smuggling rings. After a year of working at the farm, Emma signed up with the Coleman Re-Educational center for a two year Junior Warden program where she got to experience guarding first hand.

It was this experience that not only pushed Emma to the limits, but also made her as tough as nails. Her daily routine involved threats about carnation, violence and brutality, but she managed to strike revenge on those criminals by reducing their rations, contact time and visiting hours. While many guards viewed this as a violation to the Center's Rights and Responsibilities for their prisoners, the Warden oversaw it as it lowered the overall threats and low blows around the center.

However, at the end of her two years, Emma decided that she needed to scratch that patriotic scratch by joining the primary fleet. With nothing but her experience and personality, Emma joined the Navy on 12th of January, 822 A.S.

Her first patrol ended up testing her limits once again as she met Artificial Intelligence, Lane Hackers and most importantly, aliens. Her first true, uncensored experience with an alien resulted with her giving away where a person can go to be recruited into the Primary Fleet. While Emma argues whether it actually happened or not, LSF Agent Samuel Isa confirmed later that she had infact come into contact with an alien and may have contracted an alien by product, known as an Incubus. Luckily for Emma, further scans revealed that she had remained physically untouched by the alien. Unfortunately for Emma, she was left feeling violated and insecure for the first time in 2 years and this time it was on a whole new scale.

While she recovered from her experience, Emma has fought against Das Wilde, the infected humans she almost became, the Hellfire Legion, Lane Hackers and rustic ALG ships that pollute Liberty with leaking toxic waste. Emma has also put her hand up for Operation Royal Flush, a decision made in fear and still under the toxic psychological influence of the Nomad.

PERSONAL HISTORY:
James Lambert was born on Planet Curacao to Richard Lambert, a Bounty Hunter, and Christina Wallace, an Orbital Spa employee. His parents never married. James' mother died in recorded transshipment accident at Freeport 4 in Magellan during 798 AS. Subsequently, Lambert was taken by his father to Sheffield Station in Manchester, where he lived with his father for two years and began training as a Bounty Hunter in 800 AS, at the age of twelve. He became a full member of the Bounty Hunters Guild three years later, at age fifteen.

Lambert spent six years as a member of the Bounty Hunters Guild, working primarily in Bretonia, the Tau systems, and parts of Kusari. Records obtained from the BHG indicate initial promise but sub-par performance throughout his bounty hunting career. This was followed by several years as a small time independent freelancer, where transit records show that he primarily traded legitimate goods between the houses.

For reasons that remain unclear to this day, he applied for the accelerated OCS program at West Point Military Academy in 817 AS. As a cadet, Lambert demonstrated exceptional ability in strategic planning, extravehicular operations, and capital ship tactics. However, he was hampered by consistently low scores in small craft operations, and also racked up a large number of demerits in his early months for failure to adhere to Naval procedure. Lambert graduated from the Academy as part of the class of 819 AS. He graduated 23rd of 61 in the class.

After graduation, Lambert was assigned to the Navy's First Fleet, where he took an initial tour of duty as a passed midshipman. Despite very nearly setting a record for the number of fighter craft he lost during that first tour, he was promoted to Ensign and began to fly a Guardian Very Heavy Fighter. As an Ensign, Lambert was taken under the tutelage of then-Lieutenant Commander Alan Polstari. The two worked closely together on a multitude of occasions to combat the rampant piracy and smuggling within Liberty core space. Lambert also purchased an Upholder Bomber from the secondhand market and utilized it on several raids into Rheinland space.

In August of 819 AS, Lambert was promoted to Lieutenant (Junior-Grade). Merely a week after receiving the promotion, he went out on a routine patrol where he encountered a smuggler near West Point. He foolishly pursued the smuggler into the Badlands, where he was ambushed by several ships of the Liberty Rogues. After a short fight, Lambert lost yet another ship and was taken into captivity by the Rogues. He was reported MIA several hours later.

Details remain unclear, but Lambert's testimony after the fact indicates that he was subjected to what is commonly known as "Cardamine torture" aboard Buffalo. He was exposed to a large amount of the drug in pure gas form, and was repeatedly forced to suffer the withdrawal effects to the point of near-death. As a result, he would become addicted to the substance for the rest of his life. However, Lambert managed to escape Rogue custody with the help of a young Rogue girl named Pita, and was eventually rescued by a SAR team lead by Commander Jorzza Clark.

Lambert eventually rescued Pita from her Rogue caretakers, killing "Ruby", the second-in-command of the Liberty Rogues, in the process. He was awarded the bronze star for his role in disrupting Rogue operations for over a month with his single-minded pursuit of the girl. In October 819, Lambert was given his first significant command, the Liberty Navy Logistics Ship LLS Mesa Verde. He took this ship along with three companies of Liberty Marines to the Leeds system for an extended deployment under the command of Admiral Rachel Baker. As de-facto commander of the combined Navy/Marine force aboard the Verde, Lambert demonstrated leadership and strategic ability, coordinating major rescue efforts throughout the system. He was promoted to full Lieutenant in November of 819.

Less than two months later, however, Lieutenant Lambert seemingly became unhinged after Pita mysteriously disappeared. He abandoned his post, going AWOL for a week to look for her. Upon his return, Admiral Baker issued him a formal reprimand - after which he promptly disappeared again. This time he did not return for over three months and was formally discharged from the Navy. It was seemingly a dishonorable end to what had been a promising naval career.

However, James Lambert resurfaced months later, reaching out to Admirals Baker and Polstari and asking for reinstatement. Despite some disagreement, High Command reluctantly agreed to bring Lambert back to the Navy at the rank of Ensign. Lambert attended several months of mandated psychological treatment before eventual reinstatement to the rank of Lieutenant. He was assigned to the Mesa Verde once again, this time as executive officer under Steven Falkland. In 820, the ship was assigned as support for a major incursion into Hamburg, where the Navy was caught in a well-planned trap. Lambert was left behind along with a number of marines aboard Altona Station. He led a group of survivors down to the surface of Planet Hamburg, where they were able to elude captivity and eventually return home to Liberty as heroes. Lambert was awarded the silver star for his role in the operation and was promoted to Lieutenant Commander.

He was assigned to his second command - the gunboat LNS Fearless, and spent a few uneventful years steadily rising through the ranks. In May 821 he was promoted to the rank of Captain amidst shakeups in the admiralty, and later that year was named the fleet's Commodore due to his long record of combat experience.

After another year of showcasing his rapidly growing leadership capabilities as part of Operation Royal Flush and associated assignments, Lambert was promoted again - becoming the newest member of the Admiralty as a Vice Admiral in early 822 .

James Lambert has been described as affable and friendly in his on-duty persona, maintaining friendships with many who would rise far above him in the ranks of the Navy, including Rohj Teerin, Alan Polstari, and Rachel Baker. He inspires loyalty in subordinates and has been a companion and advocate for some of Liberty's most decorated marine units over the course of his career. However, Lambert has built a reputation for occasionally erratic behavior and has maintained a very private personal life since his return to duty. Even at this stage of his career, he remains one of the Navy's most polarizing yet fascinating figures.
