Rookie - sindroms - 07-14-2014 Rookie Chapter I ~ Trepidation Hey, old man. So that day finally arrived. To be honest, it came and went much more quietly than I thought it would. A few papers signed, a bit of time spent in the appropriate establishments and now I find myself a free man. I hope you will be happy to know that I did not let your work die off slowly. I closed the company before it could nosedive, just like I told you that time. Ah well. I had to return our mule to the renters. Thankfully they found it to be in a good enough shape not to deny me the return rate. I had just enough to get everything I need to set off. Truth be told, I simply locked the apartment. Perhaps I will end up returning here, one way or another. Not to mention if some of my mates come around, they will probably think I simply went on a longer trip than usual, heh. Really though, it is an odd feeling, pops. I really do remember the first time you had me do that trip to the store alone. And ten years later you had me fly our old scrap-pile to Bethelhem for the first time. Man... If our town didn't seem small at that point, then it felt tiny as hell once I returned from that trip. Well, now it is time to get myself into the deepend. I know you advised against this, but it seems that I will be putting this money into a basic shuttle in a few moments. The drydocks are opening in a couple of hours and you can bet I will be one of the first there, waiting. Miss you, pops. Let's just hope that this trip won't end up with me meeting you too soon...
