so that there is no need to use "other factions ships" anymore - this is the GC VHF. - its supposed to be the size of the eagle ( longer, but not as wide )

the ship is meant to share looks with the GC bomber but without making use of such large solar foils. it features a single reactor chamber and is a rather basic design - which underlines that the GC are not having the need to treat every ship they have like a precious little heirloom..... .
the greatest characteristic of the ship will be coloured stripes "flowing" backwards in an inmagined wind. ( no, they are no tentacles - but it ll look like its supposed to look once textured ) those "cloth bands" are supposed to create an air of elegance and "curves" to an otherwise modular and basic ship.
all in all, i tried to make a ship that offers much more "roundness and fragileness" than an eagle, while at the same time not looking like a piece of art, but a ship that is mass produced.
since it ll be slightly ( maybe 5% ) larger than an eagle, i d suggest to spin the turret to cover the forward arc, too - to make things fair. - the frontal profile is small enough though - so its "only" the side/top which will really be a larger target.

Well if you finish it up (texture/hardpoint) and submitt it then we can start talking about balancing;)
I don't think eagle is the right ship to compare it with since it's short and wide.. while this narrow and long. Best to post some comparison with BD/Chimaera after you'r done.
Oh and I really wonder which crazy person is doing hitboxes for all those fins.

hitbox is no problem - slap a patriot hitbox over it ( enlarge it of course ) - make it bigger than the ship - and no one will ever complain - but honestly... a patriot covers most of it... except some bottom parts. and wingtips - i dragged a resized patriot wireframe over it - and it fit quite well. - the mainbody of the ship would be smaller than the hitbox ( the body would be like 10% larger than the actual model ) - and it would only leve the outer most wingtips.
that means - except for the wingtips - everything you see can be hit ( and 10% more that is not a model can be hit, too.... but who cares.... i m not flying GC haha )

The model is gorgeous Jinx, but gah we have the resources to produced basic SUR files now so I strongly suggest learning that skill over using resized hitbox's in the future.

Patriot is biggest in the front this is biggest in the back...
as far as I know now we have 3 people that can make custom hitbox:
Treewyrm, Doom and AoM
don't think any of them have time to do it.. but they can show you how to do it maybe?

oh, i know how to make .sur files - made a custom one for kicks - just followed the tutorial i have. but i m really not up to do it.... its no fun.
now, here are some examples of what fits "just good enough" ( drake hitbox ) - i just saw it fits better. - the wings are not in the same place ... but thats just a minor problem, imo.

not as perfect as a custom hitbox - but i think for a simple resized drake HB... its not really worth to make a custom .sur. - oh, and i can as well just bend the wings downwards so they match the drakes...
edit: and for those that think its a size comparison - no, its only a suggestion about a hitbox - it will never be as small as a drake of course.
