NFZ, piracy, law enforcement and Freeport 2 - Fluffyball - 09-07-2014

I was wondering if it is right to pirate next to the Freeport 2. I mean, I pointed out to two newbies a fact that Freeports aren't good place to make demands, because those serve a purpose of being free ports. I am not sure if No-Fire Zones are still in use, since a lot have changed in Bering. I mean, sure, Zoners inRP will be pissed off about the fact.

Same question about enforcing law next to the Freeports, preferably Freeport 2 (smuggling goods between Rheinland and Liberty). I think any Liberty law enforcement would have right to do demands, but... what about Zoners (and NFZ again)?

It varies. Submit evidence to Zoners if you want to make a big deal out of it. Depending on the administrator, they might push for an FR5. The newbies will have renamed their ships or made new ones in the meantime. In regards to law enforcement (and pirates for that matter) Zoners can make all the demands they want regarding NFZ's, and pirates and lawmen alike can freely ignore it.

To put it simply, the only thing we (Zoners) can do about someone shooting their bases is a FR5, which takes a while.
Well, and complain to the nearest house authority.

But the NFZ is still here, yes, the only Freeports without NFZ's are Bethlehem station and Ames Research Station. You can make a comm message to the Freeport 2 manager with the provided evidence and one day maybe those pirates will get FR5'd

You will also find all Phoenix stations without NFZ: Livadia Shipyard, Corinth Station, Grand Vista, Ames. Also Freeport 11.

But Confederation of Freeports enforcing NFZ, you can submit your evidence here http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=74475 Ofcourse, if its happened nearby of their installations.

The question was more like about Liberty Navy to be honest. I have always imagined Freeports as something like Indian reservation (or simply enclaves), where in proximity of 10K Liberty laws (for example) do not apply.

Nope. Lawful (and unlawful too for that matter) have every right to do what they see fit there. However, that doesn't mean that some zoners won't cause a spat about it afterwards, inRP of course.

Yeah, I haven't thought on the fact that Bering and Hudson belongs to Liberty now and Zoners can't do a thing in fact.
