I'm pretty sure I've seen exact calculations in the past, but cannot find them now. To make it short, how many battleships are needed to destroy Core 1,2,3,4 and 5 POBs? How long it'd take?

I can just talk about a Base Core level 4.
If the base it's very well supplied you need 15 Battleships. Every BS must have minimum 3 BS Cerberus. Than you need about 5 hours (with 15 BS).

Each BS if it has 3 Cerberus will do damage of 4050/second to a Base.

A Core 4 Base with all 3 Repair Materials can restore 720,000 damage every 20 seconds or tick. This equates to 36,000 repaired damage every second.

10 Battleships with 3 Cerbs can do 40,500 damage every second. This is an overkill of 4,500 every second.

A Core 4 Base has 24,000,000 hit points so it will take those 10 BSs 5,333 seconds or 88.9 minutes to kill the Base.

Therefore a Core 3 Base has 16,000,000 hit points but only repairs 540,000 damage every tick (20 seconds). Time taken to kill with 7 BSs is 3.29 hours

A Core 2 Base has 12,000,000 hit points and repairs 360,000 damage per tick. Time taken to kill with 5 BSs is 1.48 hours

And the unlucky Core 1 Base has 8,000,000 hit points and repairs 180,000 hit points every tick. Time taken to kill with 3 BSs is 42 minutes.

This is taking in to account that all 3 Repair Materials are available for the duration of the siege and that all BSs have 3 Cerbs and are continuously firing.


EDIT:
And as far as I know Core 5 Bases are Invincible (but don't quote me on that one).

Also a Core 4 Base with no Repair Materials will take 1 BS 98.77 minutes to kill it on its own if the Base starts on 100% health.

Umm...no not possible...
the core 1 base i know of was raided by like 3 caps and a much of other ships all doing damage... and it took 3 hours and them some more to go down to 20% health.... and then someone put more repairs on the base and it went back up again.

I would suggest that they all didn't have 3 Cerberus and weren't firing continuously for that time.

I will give you the required information and let you work out the Maths for it. I will gladly hold my hand up if I have miscalculated.

Cerberus - 45,000 damage per second. Therefore 3 on each BS, a BS will impart damage of 135,000 per second.

The Shield restricts 97% of the damage dealt to the Base.

135,000 x 0.03 = 4,050 per second

Each Base Commodity repairs 60,000 damage every 20 seconds (or tick) x the Level of the Base.

Therefore a Core 1 Base will repair, with all 3 Materials, 180,000 damage every tick or 9,000 damage per second.

3 BSs will impart 12,150 damage/second vs the 9,000 damage repaired every second (in reality the Base will repair every 20 seconds). This is an excess of 3,150 damage/second.

A Core 1 Base has 8,000,000 hit points which when divided by the 3,150 excess damage every second should give you a figure that equates to the time it would take to destroy the Base.

These figures all depend on meeting the required criteria stated above.

Dumping more Repair Materials on a Base will have no effect unless it has run out of them previously. And if the above criteria is met then the Base will still be seen to take damage.

A Core 1 Base with no RMs (Repair Materials) can only last vs 1 BS for 33 minutes. If it has only 1 RM then that time goes up to 2.1 hours.

The damage is further limited by the ship's power generation rate.
For a medium battleship (260 000 / 8 000 000 power core) the figure is 106 366 per second.
For a heavy battleship (300 000 / 9 000 000 power core) it is 122 730 per second.
Light battleships have only 2 slots so it is 90 000 per second which also matches the maximum the power core can sustain.

Core 5 POBs are not subject to regular hull maintenance costs, making them significantly more difficult to destroy.
