La Conferencia de Consejos no escuchado - Isabel Ramos - 09-14-2014

To Isabel, there was nothing special about this occasion. She just thought it was another check up to see how she was performing because for some reason all new Crimson Cross members were checked upon by the Council. The only difference this time was that she was directed to a new room.

She walked up to the room and placed her hand on the door handle. Slowly opening the door, she realized this was a much more of a different room. The room wasn't anywhere near as formal as she was expecting. Forms and documents were laid out everywhere. She looked up and saw several people sitting down in chairs. They slowly rose and spoke with an authoritative tone.

??: "Isabel, please. Sit down. We've got alot to talk about"

Looking somewhat confused, she takes a seat and tucks it into the table.

Cardinal Olmos nodded to Ramos, having just walked in the room and sat down.

" Bienvenido Isabel, hermana de la luz, glad you could make it. Around the room are a number of the Higher Crusaders who've taken an interest in this operation of yours."

He said, nodding to a few of the robed officials seated nearby.

" A number of the other Cardinals have yet to arrive.. I believe there was a initiation ceremony a few of them were attending. As such, they may be a while.

You're already familiar enough with who I am; Cardinal Mario Olmos, head of most of our cardamine operations.."

Olmos paused, taking a slight bow, then gesturing to the opposite side of the table as Ramos to a silvery-white haired female clad in ceremonial red and black garmets, avidly staring down a PDA and paying little mind to much else.

" Opposite of you is Inquisitor Erikasaria Espinosa. A long time hero of the Cross, coordinator of a good number of our major military and espionage operations, and proud bearer of the title 'The Hand of the Council' "

Upon hearing her name, Erika looks up, nods briefly, then returns to her work.

Mario then paused and moved his sleeve up his arm, glancing at his computer-gauntlet presumably to look at the time.

"Now... I'm expecting Vincent Armando and Rhade to show up at some point.. possibly even signore Rodriguez if he can ever get away from the main hangar long enough to come sit in.

They shouldn't be too long.. "

RE: La Conferencia de Consejos no escuchado - Wildkins - 09-15-2014

Diego walked up to the large, ornate door separating the council chamber from the rest of the station. He paused, checking his attire, before typing in a short keycode and opening the door. He was dressed in simple, yet formal, garb - a dark brown suit, white shirt, and red tie. On his left breast lie a single medal, shining gold - one of the few remainders of his past career as Capitan of the Rosario.

As he entered, he gazed around quickly, identifying the various persons in the room. Cardinal Olmos sat at the head of the table, conversing with who appeared to be Señora Ramos, judging from the communications he'd seen. Across from her was Inquisitor Espinosa - he'd had the good luck of only meeting her once. Finally, a few additional councilmen and women were sitting around, near Olmos' end of the table. They appeared to be examining documents, writing, et cetera.

As Olmos turned and looked at him, he gave a brief nod before walking over to the close end of the table, opposite Olmos' end.

"Encantado, Señora Ramos. I don't believe I've had the pleasure of making your acquaintance. I'm Capitan Rodriguez, commanding officer of the 8th Cruzados Maltesas - although, most of the time I'm stuck in Valetta fixing ships these days..."

He took a brief moment to pick through the documents in front of him, before turning to Olmos.

Isabel had ever been around this many members of the council before. Shaking and Slightly scared, she nodded in acknowledgement of the council members.

"I wasn't expecting this when i read your communication."

She pauses for a second and a slight cough trickles out of her mouth.

"So.. erm" she stutters "Royal Naval Ship Courbet. What, In the name of the Spirits,
are you planning on doing with this ship?"

Mario's gauntlet chirped to life briefly, only to be silenced as he glanced at it.

" It looks like Rhade will be joining us momentairily, so we'll go ahead and begin. Ramos, I'm pretty sure Espinosa's presentation covers your question. "

Olmos said, then nodded to the Inquisitor, allowing her to take a spot at the head of the table. The large conference table began to hum to life, revealing its dual purpose as a holographic projector, and began generating a rotating image of the Crimson Cross's logo above a loading bar.

" With the information that Ramos here has provided us, combined with the intel reports of a number of our other patrols, and my own inspections of the area, we have put together a viable model of what we believe the patrol paths are of the Gallics are, including that of the battleship Courbet. This also includes the weekly rotation and changes to their patrols.

With this information, we have compiled a chart of their standard patrol paths."

As she spoke, the hologram of the surrounding system layouts highlighted particular areas and plotted courses, small icons resembling Cougar-class vessels seemingly representing Gallic squadrons.

The display then closed out of all other systems and expanded the display of the Tau-23 system, its own patrol paths showing an alarming degree of activity in the system.

" Tau-23 is host to the most of their squadrons, being launched by either of the two battleships persistently present in the system: Guillestre, and the Courbet. "

The twin battleships were highlighted on the map, glowing orange while the rest of the system's points of interest's colors bled out.

" Now, while the information of the standard patrol paths in itself is exceedingly useful, there's a number of other uses for the information gathered.. Such as their supply lines to these two battleships."

A number of others in the room now started to pay more attention, briefly mumbling to eachother.

" Before I continue, anyone have any questions? "

Still very confused, she starts to ponder about what Mario is wanting from Isabel and the Courbet. Curiosity got the best of her and she had to open her mouth and say something.

"Mario, i still don't get what you want with me and the Courbet? What are you planning on doing to it? "

RE: La Conferencia de Consejos no escuchado - Sciamach - 09-19-2014

" I suppose that's the question isn't it? "

Mario replied, now leaning on a wall on the far side of the room. Erika spoke up again:

" Indeed. This meeting was called to decide exactly what to do. Olmos would prefer a more standard approach to this situation. In being: use the information you've gathered to pinpoint weaknesses in their patrol paths and set up the best time to assault the Corbet. "

" -and Espinosa here seems to think the insane is possible. "

Someone from the other side of the room spoke up

"And what, precisely do you mean by that?"

The Inquisitor spoke with a twinge of pride in her voice, and a smug smile on her face:

" We board, and take it. "

A hushed silence fell over the room.

" Which is exactly why I wanted you here Ramos. "

RE: La Conferencia de Consejos no escuchado - Isabel Ramos - 09-19-2014

Both startled and confused, she tries to speak in a calm and peace manner.

"Capture it? Are you joking? You need a stupendous amount of fire power to kill one of the Valors, let alone capture it! What do you have planned? How are you going to do this? Why am i involved in this?" "

RE: La Conferencia de Consejos no escuchado - Wildkins - 09-19-2014

Diego had zoned out for a bit. Or perhaps he was too stressed to remain focused - whatever the reason, he had missed most of the conversation up until this point. When the Inquisitor mentioned the capture of a Gallic warship, he became very...interested.

He turned to the Inquisitor with a confused look.

"Excuse me, senora? You want to do what?"

He wondered why the documents had been concerning Gallic warships and patrol paths...it all made sense. Well, actually, it didn't - apparently the Inquisitor had taken some high-dose Cardamine before coming here.

RE: La Conferencia de Consejos no escuchado - Sciamach - 09-21-2014

The Inquisitor rolled her eyes, clearly not impressed with the general consensus of a response.

" You know... it's not attitudes like this that win wars here. And in case you all forgot, this is indeed a war. "

She paused, pacing around the room slowly.

" Full on frontal assault would be suicide. Trying to board would cost more lives than this eventual victory could possibly save, not to mention the heavy resistance we'd meet around every turn. Fighter swarm would be suicide, we don't have the capital support to take on 2 Valors, even with full compliments of fighters and escorts.

I'm well aware the obstacles in our way. I didn't have this meeting called just to have everyone remind me of this..."

Espinosa stopped pacing, having come full circle around the room to her original spot

" This meeting was called to discuss how we are going pull this off. Assembled in this room are some of the best military and strategic minds the Cross has to offer. So. Lets put them to use shall we?"

She passes her piercing gaze towards Isabel

" Ramos. You were the first to reply. Bypass the "you're crazy" crap and lets hear ideas, sono stato chiaro?"
