Legitimately looting a Wreck - Vulkhard Muller - 09-26-2014

As in (via SRP) Taking a ship. and inrp Re pressurizing it for use.

The wreck in question is Bremerhaven:

What is Bremerhaven?

Bremerhaven is a wreck of a Heron class Cargo Train. Located in lower right E5 of the Omega 7 system.

What is the Mysterious "Bremerhaven" running with what does it drop?

A whole lot of pulse cannons and about 50 Engine components.

Over all not a bad haul it certainly will not kill anything fast.

So assuming the Rp was done right would the devs even consider removing this wreck? Is that a thing that could happen under the right (rp) conditions?

What kind of RP or SRP are you meaning?

It just a wreck after all.

RE: Legitimately looting a Wreck - Strichev - 09-26-2014

He plans to organise a salvage operation of sorts. Imagine Battleship Hood, just with a functioning engine. Which faction it would belong to is another question.

RE: Legitimately looting a Wreck - DragonLancer - 09-26-2014

Hmm.

I get that he wants the wreck removed because it was looted.

RE: Legitimately looting a Wreck - Ponge - 09-26-2014

I think he wants to salvage and repair the wreck, and use the ship under the wreck's name and fly it. Thus, as it was repaired, the wreck should be removed to complete the RP.

Things like this should be frequent, and so is the adding of new wrecks with every update. Few of the wrecks out there make no sense at all, thinking of the Cassard here for example. How come a complete hull of a GRN battleship been floating around in Languedoc for years now and no Gallic Junker touched it yet?

RE: Legitimately looting a Wreck - DragonLancer - 09-26-2014

Hehe, I think that goes for all wrecks.

I'm compelled to agree.

Interesting idea tho:
Every update or so, wrecks are cycled around, new ones are added in, old ones that are used up for RP reasons are removed or modified, and players could put in requests for particular wrecks to be added to the mod with either prior RP, or the promise of RP to come

or something like that
