Guten Abend Herr Flottillenadmiral. I would like to give you some vital informations I gathered in New Hampshire. The "thing" is still there, on the position where it was left.

As you can see, the module itself remains practically intact, but the side corridor structures are destroyed. It will take some time to get into it and take what belongs to us. Our chances to get the whole module back to Bremen are low, because these two Libertonian vessels are no longer usable. I find the option to get inside and recover the materials to be possible, but very risky.

Important scanner data:
  • Surface integrity: 96%
  • Life support systems: Offline
  • Artificial gravity: Offline
  • Atmospheric pressure: 48 302 Pa
  • Interior temperature: 167 K
  • Radiation level: Not present

Atmosphere seems to be slowly escaping from the module. Barely breathable, and very cold. Low temperature is stable for some time, propably after the module got left there. Life support systems, including gravity are cut from power.

My plan? I haven't any practically usable plan yet. It would be meant to be quick secret action, however, we can't hide from praying eyes for long time there. We must not allow Libertonains to get what is our, so here is my very brief idea:
  1. Construct specialised cutting device to get into the module. The device should include specialised corridor able to transfer crew and material, like between ships and stations. It must be massive laser cutting beam able to create circular hole in the module's hull. We can't use main corridors due to their fate. We must burrow through the wall and get to some isolated section (to prevent all atmosphere from disappearing in the void. Atmosphere won't be important for our operation, but strong air explosion would cause the module to move to unpredictable direction, it would make hard action more impossible) Last thing mandatory to make it would be power transfer system for using cruiser power core to support the module's internal systems.
  2. Install the device on a Donau class.
  3. Get the Donau along with many escorts to the module.
  4. Burrow inside the Module
  5. Restore the module's artificial gravity systems only
  6. Transfer as many materials as possible to the cruiser. We won't have many time due to the presence of Libertonian navy.
  7. Pull back to Bremen and left the empty module flying to nowhere.

Your proposal has been reviewed and approved.

High Command is allocating the support of one Donau class vessel and escorts for the duration of the operation.

See to the quartermaster for all other required equipment.

We expect good things from you, Inspektor Schlafenberg.
