Alloys - Blackvertigo1 - 10-03-2014 As the thread name suggests... Does the ColdHeat soldering iron tip is made of a Carbon-Graphite alloy? Because Carbon is known for it's tensile strength and microwave-like heat distribution and Graphite is used for many industrial applications such as component-meshing; fusing two or more elements together for electrical needs. Combined, it may just be so that this alloy may allow collective heat dissipation for a ColdHeat portable device. Concluding what I'm getting at here... I've got this Wicked Lasers' generation two SPYDER Arctic running at <1.25 Watt beam. It's slightly broken due to moisture and lack responsibility of maintaining a functional unit. After I fix it, I'm going to make sure the IR lens is tightened securely to a point where it's no longer a rectangle beam and but... a true circle. Enjoy! |
