Reinhard Fester's own musings. Life and adventures. - Badperson - 10-31-2014

Reinhard Fester could only remain as a Junker for so long in these times.
He had left for reasons. Reasons he felt were...reasonable enough to let him just partly detach himself without prior notice.

But that had it's own consequences. No financial help from Junkers for quitting the job, which was pretty bad considering Fester was only left with the cash that he had on hand.

Oh, to hell with financial support. He was ticked off at the Junkers right now for doing what they did. To him, it was a conspiracy.

A downright shame. He had his trust on Junkers, particularly the Congress, all of which was simply wiped as soon as he found out what the Congress had done.

He had trusted James Trenton. He had trusted Eric. He had trusted a lot of people. People that he believed were all working for a greater good.

But now, he couldn't trust anyone but one of the Congress.

He had believed that the Hogosha were tyrants, nothing but cold blooded murderers who did whatever they could to establish a legal presence in Kusari to hide whatever illicit activities they had been doing.

But, as he thought about it, he became aware that the Hogosha were probably only fighting to prevent total Sirian domination by Junkers. The Hogosha must've been fighting to keep their own territory.

Gallia. He had heard that the first Junkers originated from Gallia. However, he had also heard that their original deployment into Sirius was for the sabotage and observation of the rest of the colonies as they developed.

Why had they exiled all of the spies and the families that derived from them? Surely for the same reason, which was to prevent total Sirian domination by Junkers. They must've known somehow that the Junkers were spreading their influence into all the corners of Sirius, to try and eventually manipulate the government into turning a blind eye on their shadier activities, which had seemingly gotten more frequent as the year went by.

Whatever the reason, Reinhard did not want anything to do with a good majority of the Congress, or any Junker for that matter. He had only known one person who he had trust in, and that was Aces.

Aces was also one of the leaders of Congress, but Fester had been brought in by Aces, to get introduced to the protection of the rest of the Junkers, instead of being one of the last remnants of a troubled and hated family.

Aces also seemed to just let Fester go when he had decided he had had enough. A welcome change from the spit that had flown in his direction when this had been brought up with the rest of the Junkers that he had known.

He hadn't cared. He had supported a cause that would lead to the corruption of Junkers. The Junkers had turned into money-thirsty mongrels, both within the Congress and in the general populace.

He would have none of that. He didn't want to support corruption. Money was a good thing, but money wasn't everything.

And now, thinking over his decision, he had decided he had done himself a greater good. He had been spit on; he didn't care.

He had decided it was time to start a slightly different life. A life among the isolationists of society who believed rules were a sin.

As he docked on Shasta Orbital Skyhook, he had been fully convinced that his choice was for the best.
