Stealing from a thief - Daumann Heavy Construction - 11-03-2014

Landing Bay 2 onboard Raubling station was filled with armed guards and scientific personnel in lab coats. Rasping sound announced the internal docking gate closed, and eyes of all present set upon landing Junker frigate.

Hissing decompression went quickly and cargo bay opened, with station's reflectors illuminating containers and a Junkers with activated blaster pistols in both hands.

- Huh, you indeed are wary, Junker - said person looking like security leader.

Well armed Junker examined station's personnel with squinted eyes...

"Better safe than sorry," replied Lily in clipped tones, taking one last wary glance around. "This kind of work is a little out of my comfort zone at the best of times, and this isn't exactly a routine dropoff point."

Seemingly reaching some kind of internal conclusion, the Junker broke eye contact with the Daumann employee, turning around to one of the many steel crates strapped securely into the cargo bay. "Here they are. Three thousand, two hundred and fifty boxes, all packed full." She rapped the metal lid sharply, producing a loud, metal ring. "Transported with all due care and attention. You won't find a single stone shattered."

As Lily spoke, she made her way further into the cargo bay, disappearing from sight briefly behind a tower of identical crates before re-emerging a few seconds later, brandishing a red-and-white crowbar. "I'll pop this one open, and you can take a look - all right?"

The security commander stepped forward and with curiosity in his eyes looked at boxes, and interior of the frigate. Cargo bay wasn't actually used only for cargo transportation; officer noticed few improvised from old boxes beds near the door to pilot cabin, crude but somewhat sufficient. Small sink together with portable stove were attached to the wall, and some piece of furniture which most probably served as a wardrobe completed picture of mobile home onboard the ship.

- Show me what you brought - said the commander, now focusing his thoughts on contents of boxes. Simultaneously he pointed finger at the box and said to one of lab coat men:
- Doctor Larsson, take a look.

Dressed in white coat scientist approached the box with security officer and Lily surrounding it, and pulled something out of coat's spacious pocket.

The man quietly slid out of the shadows, momentarily undetected by the people around him. When he spoke, his words sliced through the air like a dagger, catching the others by surprise. Of course, the others were not alarmed by his presence because they knew who he was. Everyone who did business with the Junker Marauders knew who George Masters was.

"All that you are looking for will be located within the boxes" He said calmly, taking out a datapad from his pocket and starting to type away into it.

Both the scientist and security commander raised eyebrows a little.

- Grand Marauder Masters, that's surprising.
Security commander showed something what could be little smile.

- Your presence wasn't required, although it may be helpful. It's good Grand Marauder gives us his own word the delivered cargo is what we need. Doctor?
- It will take few minutes commander.
- I see. I'm sure we'll have interesting talk with Mr. Masters in the meantime.

With Larsson busy examining delivered diamonds in all tones of red with specialist magnifying glass.

Interested in his work Masters asked:

"So what are you doing with the cargo? Usually, I don't show much of an interest... but it'll pass the time" George said, his monotone words lacking any real emotion, but still gave off a presence of authority.

RE: Stealing from a thief - Pavel - 11-23-2014

- Nothing unusual, Grand Marauder Masters. We're checking what you brought, and is it worth our attention.
Larsson sounded bored when carefully examining the gems under the glass all the time, like he was doing that for the millionth time in his life.

RE: Stealing from a thief - Lythrilux - 11-23-2014

"Right" George replied, he himself also showing disinterest in the conversation. He checked the time on his datapad, to see how much longer he would be here for. "What qualifies as 'worth your attention'?"

RE: Stealing from a thief - Pavel - 11-24-2014

- Something...like this.
Larsson was obviously happier than few moments earlier.

- You brought uncut red diamonds of fine quality, Junkers. They are more than fine for studies. Although... If we need more, will you be able to provide?

RE: Stealing from a thief - Lythrilux - 11-29-2014

George nodded. "Of course we can. Anything you need, we'll get it to you"
